When I was around 10 years old, my Mother would drop me off at Grayson Lake with a bottle of water and a PB&J sandwich. I would fish all day there either on the main lake, Deer Creek or below the dam at the spillway. My Uncle would always get a kick out of the fact that usually I would come home with more fish than his friends did that had all the fancy bass boats. Great memories for me!

Got a question. I hope to get a answer.
So here it goes. If you catch a crappie or bass with a hook can you use it as bait for catfish. Other states does and never thought about it u till now.

Know this is an old comment but as I understand the KYFW regulations no sport fish can be used for live or cut bait in KY with the exception of redear sunfish under 6" long. Bluegill aren't considered sportfish so they can be used. Crappie and bass are both sportfish so cannot be used for that reason - Additionally, anything with a size limit can't be used as cut bait obviously because once cut into pieces they can't be measured.
