I'm in Southern California in the pink spot you mentioned in the beginning of the video and it's been raining here for 2 days straight. Lots of flooding and accidents. Thanks for the up to date info. I'm not really used to weather changes like this. It's crazy.

this is the same type of rain we had heavy in the 80's and 90's when wilshire blvd use to flood up to truck doors.
I was there in 90s and 2000s. Remember some flooding that covered floors in our hospital (one floor)
I was born and grew up in SoCal, and though I no longer live in California since the mid 1970's, I cannot recall this amount rain ever in my lifetime. I have a sister that still lives in SoCal in the Redondo Beach area.
I remember mud slides and devastating wild fires, but nothing like these rain storms. Heck, I can't even the LA River in flood stage! And I used to ride horses along that river. Keep doing your wonderful weather reporting, Ryan!

I lived in Redondo and PV for over 12 yrs. We had flooding when first moved there but don't remember eny mudslides until last year and a few small wildfires
We got 7 inches of rain in 24hrs just 4 or 5 years ago
I have lived in SD for over 20 yrs now and it is fairly common.
Rain is better than Fire, I see it as a good thing.
Here in Idaho, we are getting snow after an extremely mild December and January. It's dumping snow and it's beautiful.

Usually February in Iowa is a freezing cold month before the sudden warmth of spring in March. All I needed today was a sweatshirt instead of coat/hat/mittens/scarf and winter boots. This winter is just weird!

Rome GA sometimes has a mini “blizzard” in early April
Going into spring…beware of nights warmer than days. Only 1-2 will make crops stop growing completely. Happened here 2 of 3 past yrs. I’m a horticulturist. (d75F but couple of n80F)..in town probably microclimate but entire county had stunted vegetables.
Let us know about nights warmer than days especially during spring and early summer ANYWHERE pls

That's why they call it weather. I was born & raised in Northern Calif, 1944, & I saw a lot of wet years, & a lot of drought years. In 1955, we had a really bad winter &: the water went over the banks of the Feather river. That's why they built the Oroville Dam.
When I was kid every one just called it California's climate...cycle of wet and drought. My whole life.
I grew up in Southern California and we had several of these winters. I keep saying these millennials have no idea what the weather is. The Santa Ana winds were crazy! As kids we could literally fly like the birds that's how bad it got🤦🏽♀️
