@@KenIMakeIt One small critique: the stars on the U.S. Agent costume are supposed to be black. The promotional artwork somehow missed this detail, but you can see it in the show's last episode when he dons the outfit for the first time.
Another good way to get rid of the star is to go over it with a Qtip doused with nail polish remover. It eats right through the paint, and if you go over it for long enough it'll eat away at the star as well. Combine that with a few passes of sandpaper and some black paint to hide the blemishes, and boom, no more star.
There's just one problem: The star on the U.S. Agent costume is supposed to be black, as well. When you were done with the outfit, you must've forgotten to do that one.
It's nice what you did here, Bro. But, if I may suggest. Since in the comics, he's shield has a different design and color. I suggest changing the colors to red, black, and silver/gray. You can leave the star shape though. It may not be film-accurate but it can be comic-inspired.
Another amazing job Ken! Huge improvement on the both of them, especially US Agent. Didn't realise it was that easy to get rid of the star on the helmet! Every video you do inspires me to improve my Legends figures, even when I don't always think they need improving. You're the only one on UA-cam doing tutorials aimed particularly at Legends collectors, and you do them so well, so I don't know why you've not even hit 10K subs yet.
Aww! Thank you for the kind words! I decided to focus on Marvel Legends because they are the most affordable and have the most potential to improve hahaha
I think the MCU using John walker to lead a suicide squad style team up film would be a great idea. With the new black widow, abomination, Sylvie, zemo and any other villain that actually lives past the end of the film haha thatd be very interesting to see 😁
While your work with U.S. Agent is phenomenal, I think it would be most practical to wait until they release an updated version for the Dark Avengers that will most likely come with his unique shield.
This looks great! I've been meaning to fix my US Agent, I was just planning on cutting off the star and repainting the stripes, but the other stuff you added makes it look way better so I might try that too. Also if you don't mind me asking, do you have any problems with the paint around the joints rubbing off, and does the texture of the figure feel sticky at all after you paint it? I'm just wondering because those are both problems I have run into. Thanks!
The paint doesn’t dry sticky for me. I do sometimes have the issue of the paint rubbing off at the joints. I try to keep the paint around the joints thin / minimal. I’m going to test out varnishes to see if it helps
I've had the same problems as you Snowman! I've heard that for the joint areas, you should sand them down before painting, so that they're rough and the paint has something to grip onto. As for stickiness, consider thinning your paints down, either with water or an appropriate paint thinner. Also consider using more model-focused paint, like Tamiya, Citadel or AK Interactive.
@@snowmanuprising9944 And if you need varnishes, for a gloss varnish I highly recommend Pledge floor care, there are tons of videos on it and it works super well and can be used to tighten joints. For a matt varnish, buy AK interactive's ultra matt varnish, I just used it yesterday for the first time and it's basically perfect and can be mixed with Pledge to give semi gloss.
The sanded helmet looked pretty smooth after I cleaned off the particles. I did do a very very thin layer of paint just so it matches the painted body. Hope that helps
I can’t wait to see more of him. Wish the show was abt a pandemic like how it was originally but then C19 happened. That was a stupid move. Also wish the MCU didn’t kill all their villains like Crossbones. Walker is the equivalent of ppl saying “I’d totally be like Captain America!” But then so psycho like him. Steve was a great human, and a good soldier who would go against them to save someone meanwhile he’s just a lap dog.
If only Hasbro would take there time to just wait and see how the characters will appear to the shows and movies it upsets me that Hasbro wouldn’t make it right, sometimes they do nail the figures and other times they don’t.
That is the most likely explaination. Hasbro has to have these figures finished way in advanced and usually all they have access to at the time is concept art.
I've seen many attempts on trying to fix this action figure, but I think byfar this is the best representation of John Walker! Nice job Ken!
Yay!! Thanks!! I really like the painted face too, so much more natural looking in the end

The way you fix the hair and stubble on the face has demonstrated high standard of painting. Good job!

Superb improvement to both figures! You have done a fantastic painting of facial stubble. Amazing!
One of if not your best fixes. I too have been debating about repainting the shield, but am too afraid that I would mess it up.
Just found your channel and I'm glad I did...
Damnn... You really nailed the look of walker unmasked
Thanks! I really like how it turned out too!
He did!! I love this guy!
Could you try making a Fierce Deity Mask and Sword?
The idea with the light grey is great.
Thanks to you, I could remove the "A" from the head and the tip with the light grey instead of white was great.
Wow
You have amazing skills
I really hope they release a more screen-accurate version of U.S. Agent.
You should make a Falcon and The Winter Soldier display with a fixed Sam Wilson and Bucky!
BTW INCREDIBLE!
They are on my list! I want to do a proper display for them
Wow! You do not cut away the star on the helmet; you make it disappear.
Nice job on fixing the figure.

Here is a quick tip try to spray a clear coat matte finished the for is more faster and the paint we be the same😁
Well done! I like what you did to both of these figures. Thank you for taking the time to share this info!
us agent looks great with the white stripes
very impressive, i like this figure us agent marvel legends

Got the us agent, might try to remove the star and fix the lines.
Beautiful work. I love your videos. What brand of paints you used on the shield and to give it that shine?

Great paint job, but what paints did you use? Also, a better and safer way to get rid of the A on the helmet would be to sand it off.
Looks great! The only thing I would add is painting the chinstrap under his left ear. Other than that, it is really good.
One small critique: the star on the U.S. Agent costume is supposed to be black.
Amazing work. Do you have the colors/brands that you used?
Amazing
Ken, can you try making the boat scene from Spiderman Homecoming?
Nice work Ken! They both came out great ! What brand paints do you like using?
I’m using dollar store paint Lolol
@@KenIMakeIt You’re a professional. I love it. 😂

Great job what paints are you using
Great work! I'd love to do this for myself, so what paint do you use?
I’m using dollar store acrylic paint haha. I find it best when I’m applying thin layers so I can manipulate the paint and fix any mistakes.
Man, how do you have so much figures and skills, ur amazing
Thanks! I’m starting to run out of space! Hahaha
Damn!, You really nailed it, this repaint make the sh figuarts looks like a bootleg
What paint do you use to give so good details?🤔
I love your videos, you’ve inspired me to repaint my bootleg venom, I got some difficult to paint the eyes like yours, so I left them white 😂
It’s wonderful to hear to that I’ve inspired you! I find it helpful to practice painting on a bootleg / knock off. Less pressure hahaha
What color paint did you use for the stubble?
Awesome video! New subscriber here. Do you have a list of paints used? Thanks!
Can you please customize the peacemaker from mcfarlane? The headsculpt from that figure sucks. Thanks🙏🏻
Amazing work 👍
Fantastic

Could you show the link of the paint you used? Thanks!

Varnish
Awesome!
Can you make how to train your dragon hiccup helmet from cardboard please
Ken you make it for the Red Guardian??
Loved it!
You should try fixing the winter soldier from the Disney plus wave
Yes! That figure is a bit off
Another great job Ken. Can I ask do you prep the figure at all before painting like washing or sanding it? Keep up the great work!!!
I didn’t, I just painted directly on the figures 😅. It may be better to prep the figures for optimal results.

Hit the closest flea Market (with an adult if needed)...BEST place to find new/old figures on a budget. Good luck.
@@killercustomfigs6079 haha I'll try
Wish I was good at customizing because I would like to do the same with my US Agent
1,25 To be honest, I feel like his U.S. Agent version was just a cheap color swap of his Captain America outfit.
Ken wouldn’t have to work so hard if the figures were more accurate. Most or all of the time these movie figures are based on concept art
I tried but now the head of my figure looks horrible :((
Make a collection video
He’s very reminiscent of captain America
Ficou incrível
If only Hasbro would take there time to just wait and see how the characters will appear to the shows and movies it upsets me that Hasbro wouldn’t make it right, sometimes they do nail the figures and other times they don’t.
That's more of a Marvel/Disney decision. If they want figures made and in shelves, it's going to get done.
I assume sales are better when the figures are available before the shows/movies. That’s why we keep getting figures based on concept art
Kinda weird how they messed the design up. I can only imagine Hasbro got an earlier version of the suit design then Marvel changed again.
That is the most likely explaination. Hasbro has to have these figures finished way in advanced and usually all they have access to at the time is concept art.
“It’s the same. Just black “ was probably the memo they got haha
Marvel Legends is good, but it can be better.
Looks good but and Ik it’s a human issue but the lines not being perfect bugs me
