More than 900 but I just got a Paco Castillo 205 and I must say it is a thing of luxury in sound and quality,I've had top of line Saez,Kremona,Cordoba and Yamaha GC32 and GC41 - PC 205 is hands down "much" better than the previous mentioned I owned,
Update: I didn't think it was possible to find something better but now I own a Camps M-16. Around same price as PC 205 and I must say I like this Camps even more than the Castillo,Reasons? Thanks for putting all the times, music, guitars and especially price guides. You saved me a lot of searching. I wish everyone was as thorough as you. Thank you for your work. And your playing.
The Paco Castillo 204 seemed most rounded. The nicest ones always seem to be the most expensive ones. Oh well... :) I will listen more. Good presentation. Thanks.
Sure that there are differences between all these guitars, but when you have the talent, whatever the guitar, it's beautiful ! Thanks for this. And if you have time, please release your transcription of Joni Mitchell piece (if it's yours or give us the reference)
syl ring it’s my own transcription, yes, but still work in progress. I will work some more on it and attempt to get a permission from the publisher to bring it out.
i have the Paco Castillo 204 in cedar and is by far the greatest guitar in the solid top, laminated back and sides range. tone and cosmetics are beyond gorgeous and has nothing to envy 2k guitars. its surreal how they can make such a guitar at that low a price. and they say it is made in spain not china!
The Paco Castillo 204 cedar was the one that inspired me the most. I kept going back to it to compare & every time it confirmed my opinion that this was my first choice. Beautiful tone. 👍
Thank you so much I have been using a Fender I put nylon strings on Its all I could afford it's all I live for playing flamenco but it's so hard playing loud enough for people to here the 4 5 and 6 strings on the fender.
Thanks for this very good comparison. I did listen to each guitar (with the links) and compared to your luthier guitar. My "winner" was always the Paco 204 -- I did not look at the name / price, so totally unbiased... The suistain of the luthier guitar is better / longer, but overall I would not choose this specific luthier guitar, but your other one (from 2001) sounds absolutly georgous to my ears.
Excellent production and performance (5 stars). Of course, the Giustina was a stand out, but not for the money. For me, the Camps were the best value and sounded great. I'm usually a spruce guy, but the Camps M-1 C and the PC 204 (which appeared to be cedar) were both impressive. Did the guitars all have the same brand/tension strings? I'm guessing probably not. I don't remember whether you mentioned strings or not. I'm not sure I've heard Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring in the key of A on the guitar. Nice. Is that your arrangement? Really like the Both Sides Now arrangement.
Thanks for the comparison. Having such skills makes it easier... For me the 201 Paco Castillo sounds great, even better than the more expensive 204... The Camps are not my choice but I think in the end it is simply a very personal thing. And I'm not sure if the brilliance of the 201 gets too penetrant after a while. For that price the 201 delivers a superb sound though.
I think it might be beneficial to play a few notes or strum on the guitars in quick succession as over long tunes you can't really compare as the sound of the former guitars is forgotten. However the immediacy of a sudden change of sound it far more perceptible.
Not tried a Camps but Paco Castillo sound as good if not better than guitars three times their price. They are lovely guitars. After trying one I quickly sold my Alhambra. I am told Camps are very good for flamenco guitars. It's great that these Spanish manufacturers are producing such quality instruments at affordable prices. You need an instrument to inspire you if you are going to progress well.
@@villumstride7502 Not played one yet but I hope to soon. My Paco is a Cedar top. I have already a nice Spruce so if I trade the PC for a Camps it will be a cedar top. I have a 203 Cedar and love it. The Michele's sounds so vibrant and open, with a lot of resonance and dynamics. I'm impressed by the Camps M-1 C as well. I know they are on different levels, but how do you find the playability of the Camps M-1 C compared to the Michele's?
Especially in the playability the difference is huge, Michele’s so much easier to play on the neck and also to make phrasing come out naturally. Then the guitar was new, by now it sounds even much better!
Hey great video, if by any chance you see this I just wanted to let you know that the first piece you played “krok na Tri” really connected with me. I want to listen to it but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Do you know where I can listen to it or what album it is on? Thank you very much
It depends, the 201 is slightly more expensive, but the difference most likely won't be huge, so I'd probably stick with C40 and switch to one of the higher models Cordoba or Paco Castillo in the future.

I have a Yamaha C40. I wonder if it's worth swapping for Paco Castillo 201? Is it a big difference? Thanks
It depends, the 201 is slightly more expensive, but the difference most likely won't be huge, so I'd probably stick with C40 and switch to one of the higher models Cordoba or Paco Castillo in the future.
Have you ever played an Aiersi guitar?
Not yet, I haven’t heard about them
Nice video, teacher! Great job!!! :)
Faz aula com ele? Legal ! :D
Thanks a lot for the samples! Could you please tell me what you think about the sound and playability of the Camps M-6 S? How does it compare to the Camps M-10 S?
M10 was much more comfortable to play.
Thank you for making this recording...
It is good to compare some of these more budget friendly instruments by timbre!
While an instrument should be experienced by the prospective buyer before purchase, what are your thoughts on the playability, action, fit and finish of these guitars?
Thank you, and be well.
What is the song name, which is you are playing with paco castillo 201?
Thank you! A perfect presentation!!
Do you prefer the Camps guitars or the Paco Castillo's?
It looks like all your Camps guitar were spruce. Your description says guitar #5 was supposed to be a Camp cedar.
How do you figure? I'm pretty sure the #5 top was indeed cedar, also labeled as M1-C for cedar.
What did you prefer between Camps ST1 and Paco Castillo 201?
If I remember well Paco Castillo.
@@UrosGuitar thanks
How about the Juan Hernandez Preludio - 670 euros? Have you heard one?
No.
Where can I get a copy of this music?
I'd never imagine that Seb Vettel played guitar...
JK Great video! Thanks!
Haha I've heard this one before... :)
Can I ask what for you is the most beautiful guitar you have ever played?
I guess it would have to be Daniel Friederich, both spruce and cedar top.
What brand of strings for Classical guitar?
Hi brother 👊 give you 👍
and the strings use for this test are ?? thanks
How would a Cordoba C5 compare to these?
Very very similar quality of sound.
