    The Bushido is hands down one of my favorite shoes of all time. Over a hundred miles on these shoes and counting and they never cease to make my feet sad. A great shoe for lower profile feet, narrow feet and people looking for a stable yet comfy trail runner for hiking.

    I have about 500 miles in Bushido's and I just bought a couple more just in case they discontinue them. I use them only for backpacking and I love them. I've done a bunch of 20-30 mile days in them and my feet feel great at the end of the day. Love them!

    I have to say that the Bushido’s are by far my favorite hiking/ultralight backpacking shoes

    Hey brother! Great informative video!!
    I appreciate the content and it really helped me in my research.
    I went ahead and took a chance on the Bushido’s, as I don’t have a store near to me that carried them I had to blindly trust to an online purchase.
    Well....you were not wrong. They are without a doubt my favourite trail hikers to date! So nice. The ocean/sulpher are stunning,epic looking shoes!
    Thanks very much!
    Be well brother

    I couldn't agree more. I have had 2 pairs and I can't resist wearing them to work because they are so comfortable. they are super on the trail and have never given me a blister. I have a narrow and low volume for so I have a hard time finding shoes that fit me very well so not recommend for wide feet. can't say enough good about them!

      Pretty sure I am going to buy 2 or 3 extra pairs so I always have a fresh pair. Thanks for watching!

    Great review! Going to buy these for my hiking trips in Austria. I was wearing hiking boots up until now but I really started to get tired of them

    I thruhiked the AT with this shoe....GREAT shoe. I wear the Bushido and-or the Akasha from la sportiva and pretty much nothing else for hiking. I used to wear the Brooks Cascadia..and still have a pair...but therse and the Akashas are my goto trail shoes. NEVER had a blister when paired with full cushion Darn Tuff socks
    Im not an Altra fan at all!

    i'm indecisive between this trail shoe and the oboz bridger bdry mid hiking boot. I hiked last year and lost two toenails from wearing merrell moabs. I want to avoid hurting my toes this year. I heard that Mid type boots secure foot in place and prevent toe nails from hitting the front...I would only be doing summer/spring hikes not trail running. what do you recommend i get? i live in westcoast, canada. THanks for the video.

    I will check this one out. I wil be doing the Pacific Crest april 2019 a nd already made a switch from my Lowa Army boots who are awsome for winter hiking and real wet and muddy terrain un the UK to Merrel Moab Ventilator. The merrels are doing well and are nice to walk on. But after about 500 miles i can say that i do like to have more grip and the vibrams are not giving me the stabel grip that i am used to have with my heavy boots. Also they are not drying as fast as i would like them to dry.. So i am lookinginto several other types of light fast drying shoes. Shoes that i can trust to keep my footing whitout looking.

      They will probably be a great shoe to start with. I would caution on how they will fit as your feet swell from all the walking. They can be narrow for people, not an issue for me as I have little princess feet, but i'd suggest trying some before committing to a thru hike with them. I will say that I am now on my 4th pair of these and hundreds of miles. They are solid and hike well.

      How does the trail grip on the Bushidos compare to the Wilcats or Ultra Raptor?

    I cant decide which to buy between Bushido and Akasha. Which one do you advice?
    I wear in city in daily life.

    A great shoe and a great review. Sadly no facility for gaiters with the flat sole through the midfoot.

    Great Review! I'll check them out. I'm hoping they might sell a wider width (I have wide feet). I bought a pair of Keen's last month, they feel good so far, but they are a little heavy, I like a lighter shoe. Thanks For Sharing My Friend!

    • @BackcountryExposure
      @BackcountryExposure  7 років тому +1

      Yeah at least go try them on. I should have mentioned that in the review. They are a low profile, but they aren't so narrow that they only fit certain breeds of feet.
      Sticker going in the mail today too!

    Great review Devin. Are you in sales ? 😀 I was "really" interested until the part about the narrow profile. Dog gone it. Have a great weekend my friend.

      Bluecollar Backcountry ha ha no I'm not in sales. They are narrow but not too narrow. I'd find a store that carries them and go try them on!

      That's what I am thinking about doing. I switched to Keen a few years back because of the width and wide toe box but they are more suited to cold weather. I'm going to do a search and see where I can find these locally. Thank you

    Try a good (low and fast) walking shoe or a good approach shoe and you nevere wil be stating that a trail runner is ideal for hikes again. Runners are for running. Walkers are for hiking (and desigend for different types of terrain with stiffer oens for the type you were walking on) and approach shoe are there to walk up to a climb and back down form the climb (in between you use climbing shoes).

    I thought this might amuse you one of the finishers of the Barclay 100 - argueabley one of/if not thee hardest ultra's their is based on so few people even finishing since its mid 80's birth. see video -> ua-cam.com/video/n-V8x0hQXA4/v-deo.html check this 22 minute documentary. This year they actually did have a finisher and his shoe choice - the la sportiva bushido! Its a terrific shoe and for 140 bucks is rich with quality in the design and materials you dont even see in solomon shoes 1/3 more it;s price. Alas, my foot is too wide so I wore mine for about 2 hours now they are in my closet in mint condition, but I cant use them. It sucks not having local stores carry products like these. I live in an area where every store is footlocker catering to the dress to impress look cool consumer. So, when I purchase online, i can make some costly mistakes. I rely heavy on user comments but even they dont always work. Anyhow, I am getting off point, I think its a terrific shoe and thought it was cool that it was the chosen shoe for the finisher of an an astoundingly difficult race.

    • @BackcountryExposure
      @BackcountryExposure  6 років тому

      That is really awesome! Many of my friends are ultra runners and they choose this shoe as well. The brand new pair in this video are now beat up, worn down and well used. They are my favorite. I am going to watch that video cause it's awesome to see such a veteran runner choose this shoe.
      They are narrow and it's a bummer that your feet don't fit them. What size are they by chance?

    • @yurisignori7635
      @yurisignori7635 6 років тому

      If you are interested and wear a size 10.5 Im selling them really cheap and they are mint. Either way, Im jealous of your backyard. Michigan has some great trails but most are 5 hours drive to the North. Great scenic trails but nothing like you have. Cheers!

    • @BackcountryExposure
      @BackcountryExposure  6 років тому

      Ah dang, yeah I wear a 41 in them. A 10.5 would be too big.
