Explaining to randos why "just because it worked, doesn't mean its a good play" is the worst thing because sometimes the team cant see big picture and turn on you.
I was in this lobby where I’m playing cypher on bind, I told 4 rounds on defender side that don’t push, they never listened, because the other team doesn’t commit on the site all the time, they keep pushing them and gets one to two kills but then they get killed anyway because they kept pushing, and when 3 members of my team die from keeping on pushing, im left on defending a site and rotate, the other one on site dies and I’m left to clutch which wasn’t necessary because we had man advantage when they got a pick but they kept on pushing and what do you expect, I was bottom frag. They keep on flaming me but their dogshit game sense keep on working. They don’t listen because I was bottom fragging. On attacking? Duelists doesn’t use flash. Omen was too slow in smoking the site. I was the first one to entry because duelists don’t want to entry. They’re now afraid to push. I’m 😀
Don't tell your teammates what they did was wrong during a game, worst thing to do. You will make them angry/tilt and it will affect your game. If you/your tm8 is playing bad, don't make it known before the round is over. That's so annoying to deal with, hearing your friends say "shit I am so bad at the game, so close to killing them, so unlucky, fk this game" just comm the damage, last seen, and shut up until the round is over. You can discuss what happened during the game after the whole thing is over, but in the mean time, keep all your complaints to yourself. Top players also tilt frequently, they say how bad their teammate is to their twitch stream during ranked(like Hiko, aceu, wardell, sinatraa) but they don't say a word in the actual team voice chat. That's just being nice and not screwing up your team's morale
I’ve noticed that when playing, if there are no coms/occasional callous we play worse than if we’re all verbally shitposting, joking, and just fucking around for fun even if no one gives callouts.

@Booker DeWitt idk lol those ones I feel like it’s right that you ask them not to peek but at the same time, from my experience, they die regardless of whether they peek or hold XD, either way looking back at the comment I make, it doesn’t make sense lol, when defending it’s definitely better to hold lol, I was wrong
Dude you pointed out so many things that i noticed myself doing, so I tried playing a game after watching this and just my awareness of overall how my team was doing and what we needed to do to secure the round was just on another level!! 🥳
Hey Bumpaah, love your videos and I have definitely improved from watching. Just one suggestion that would help me a lot is when you are pointing out misplays (take the sequence at 4:30 for example), you make it clear what he did wrong, but just kind of brush over what he could’ve done better. I believe you say “should’ve gotten back on site where you can trade with your teammates” or something to that extent. I completely understand what you mean by that, but if you could take the time to lay out what the better team positioning would have been, I think I could learn more from the examples. It’s easy to understand that he shouldn’t push up to lever in that situation, but a little more complex to understand the ideal spot for him/his teammates to be playing. I’ve watched your video that goes over crossfires and such, definitely understand the concept but the more situations I can see it applied to the better. Sorry for the long read, just a suggestion that I’m sure could benefit a lot of your viewers. Thanks for all the knowledge you share man, keep up the good work!
I like how blunt he is. I'm always an advocate for "It's not what you did, It's more HOW you did what you did" and he's explains points in this manner a lot.
Thank you Bumpaah for making those vids, the crosshair placement guide alone got me from low gold elo to high gold, there is still a ton to improve upon, and it's good to know there are so many aspects of this game, and even better that this replay was a Gold 3 guy, as this is my elo and i can definitely see some of my mistakes as well
I had a very big issue with top fragging and losing games and the only way I fixed it was not by being upset at my teammated but making the callouts they needed to succeed even if I failed. As a player, it can be very frustrating when you have to analyze the patterns of the enemy AND your own team to make proactive callouts and commands every round or it becomes a 1v5. Another thing I noticed where games that it felt like I was 1v5ing I was getting refragged often. If this happens to you, the ONLY way to beat it is with communication with your team. Tell them to stick close by to refrag the refrag. Make bait plays where you know the enemy is gonna make a certain move. Hold the same angle from different areas. Valorant is a team based game. It requires teamwork.
1:39 this explains it all. At lower ranks your team just sits when someone dies they are like Ohh no one of us has to go now your teammate goes out to fight and the cycle continues. That's all
Well the overall theme is and that is what i observed in lower elo games is that most players are too overconfident, trying to make plays and when something goes wrong feel like they have to hard carry. Which then leads to what you are explaining, losing the round due to overpushing and not being with the team
This is the problem I have in gold , people top frag and then decide that us losing rounds isn’t their fault , and I could be bottom or 4th but win more rounds or give comms that allow them to get the kills and it just frustrates me.
