- Planting more pink petunias! Today we're hanging the hayracks that dad made brackets for and planting them up with gorgeous petunias and superbenas. The fence looked great before the hayracks, but we think this will add a lot of color around the yard. It will also tie in nicely with the wagon of flowers that was just planted and all the other pots full of petunias.
Plants used for the hayracks:
Supertunia Vista Bubblegum
Supertunia Vista Silverberry
Supertunia Vista Fuchsia
Superbena Royale Plum Wine
Superbena Royale Chambray
Thanks for hanging out with us today. What are your favorite annuals to plant?

Another wonderful garden hands...combines mechanics of building the hangers, flower selection, fertilizer, drip irrigation ...Lindsay’s narration is excellent.
Thanks Mike! It really is fun when one of the projects involves things we all like!
New subscriber here. What size are your hay racks? I just received mine and they are 55 inch and 80 inches wide. Enjoyed your content.
Thank you for watching and subscribing!! I believe they are the 44" hayracks. Oh boy, you got the big ones - that will be spectacular!
Did anyone notice a difference in the end with the using the 2 different kinds of potting soil?
Thanks for watching!! There was a little difference - the better quality soil did have slightly more lush plants. But not enough that my mom would recommend one soil over the other.
One suggestion if you don't mind. Taller plants in each will make the racks more visually appealing.
There's a good formula to use when planting large pots, hay racks that says each should have fillers, spillers and thriller plants.
The variety will create a lovely collection and I envy the fact that there is an attractive fence plus being able to use several racks.
