Overfeeding like that is animal abuse!!! I get it that technically the person should listen to the rules of the parent, but-deciding not to abuse an animal is always the right decision
Absolutely!! If I was them I'd be trying to figure out if I could get ownership of the cat for its wellbeing. Animals like that end up surrendered at shelters every day at this point. It's sad and infuriating that the friend can't see what they're doing wrong
I wish they had taken the cat to the vet for evaluation and for a weight loss plan. I do have to say though, as soon as I heard how much food was accessible to the cat at all times I knew the owner was in the wrong.
Its neglect not abuse, she's not purposely physically harming the animal she's just neglectful of the health and food consumption. Definitely still not a good thing cuz that cat was probably going to have a heart attack soon. I can understand why the owner was mad the friend Wasnt Free feeding cuz i also believe in letting my cats eat when they feel hungry but also need to include wet food for health and they will eat less hard food cuz they rather have the wet food so their diet stays in check. Instead of going behind her back and changing it drastically i think the fiend should've taken Cat to the vet and get proof of diet change needed and show the owner and tell her that they will make changes to the diet referred from the doctor until she takes the cat back and if she neglects his health again they will call them in for animal neglect to remove it and take the cat in themselves. Or maybe like tell her exactly why what's wrong so she can understand indtead of being salty and upset cuz ur not respecting her wished of assuming you would do what she asked exactly
As someone who has an education in pet wellness and welfare. Overfeeding your pets is and always will be abuse and/or neglect. It damages their bodies and organs, make their lives painful and miserable and so so much shorter.
If you want your animal to lose weight however you need to get a vet to give you a feeding plan and monitor your cats weight. If a cat loses too much weight too fast is kills their liver and they can even die from it.
@@bxbydrxgxn of course but sometimes people do neglectful stuff by accident which is why I don't jump to say abuse until I know more about the situation.
Hello! I have a vet appointment for her in the near future, but I'm having trouble managing one of my cat's weight. It's really easy for her to gain & keep it on, so I'm worried about her overall health & specifically her joints. Do you have any suggestions until we see her veterinarian?
As someone who works in an ER i knew immediately it was testicular torsion which is absolutely a medical emergency. His delivery about the situation was the problem
Not only that, but why would he assume his gf would drive him to the hospital if she was out drinking all night? He should have just called an ambulance right away.
Yeah, he needed to be clear on exactly how much pain he was in. To her, it could have sounded like a joke. Although pain makes you incoherent, so it was an innocent mistake on both parts
@@tanyastacy-haws993 It might have been an honest mistake on her part, but an unforgivable one nonetheless (at least imo). If I was in his position and my partner let me down like that when I was in a dire situation, I would never be able to trust them again. She didn't even show the least bit of concern. If I had a partner that called me multiple times and communicated to me that he needed to get to the hospital, I would immediately go and help him, even if it sounds ridiculous. Her lack of action and her straight up ignoring his calls and even blocking him is what gets me. It wouldn't have hurt her to answer her phone or walk the 5 minute walk to check up on her partner.
@@shelbylynn7399okay this is a very good point. He’s def not the asshole and I disagree it’s his fault because of how he communicated it. Your partner should care and be available if you’re in pain or need assistance and reach out wtf. Howeverrrr, yeah if she’s at the club, she would obviously be drinking and shouldn’t be driving him regardless, no? I assume he wasn’t thinking straight due to the pain though. Def should’ve taken the ambulance, though I assume he’s somewhere where you pay for that out of pocket. Stupid you have to put your health aside due to not being able to afford emergency services in some places.
Story 4 I would lose my sh*t tbh lol. The fact it’s their freaking honeymoon and he happily ditched her is INSANE. Then to whine about being scared? The nerve lol.
Does he really think it’s gonna be the only time he’s gonna be able to fly business class when he just married a woman who flies a bunch raking in the points? Nope, I would be pissed too!
For our honeymoon, my husband took his parents and friends to a road trip to the North, while I went for a business trip to Britain. Was I disappointed? A little bit, but we've traveled a bit anyway, so I guess it wasn't that important. Now, almost ten years later, maybe we should have a "real" honeymoon?? :)
@@ManicBubblesThere probably weren’t two seats available. One person who had booked business probably cancelled their flight so there was literally only one seat available.
Story 4: I will say the wife considered the husband from the beginning by stating she only wanted an upgrade if it was for both of them. She already knew she wouldn't leave his side under any circumstances because of his fears. He left her without hesitation and then whined when he hurt her feelings. What he did was rude and you just can't expect people to not react when you don't treat them with the same consideration they had for you. She reacted to his lack of matching how she went into the situation already considering him. His energy didn't match and it hurt. I'd tell him that.
I feel like they are forgetting that the husband on the airplane doesn’t fly a lot and he has never experienced first class and she has. So it makes sense him wanting to experience it and if I as a wife that travels a lot and has experienced first class several times then why wouldn’t I be happy he experiences it? And now, also depending on the couple situation we don’t know if the husband provides to get in other aspects like i would be happy to let my husband in the first class if it was his first time if he takes good care of you in other aspects and in the house. That being said , I think the wife could’ve been like hey honey I don’t think is a good idea you get nervous when we fly and I won’t be able to conform you when you get anxious
@@SweetJeessyeah but he used her points without asking if it was ok with her. Like, I'm not stealing from my partner just so I can have a new experience, that's bonkers. And she was willing to let it go but then he guilt tripped her about it. Also it's their honeymoon, like you get married and immediately abandon your wife over a plane ride?
@@SweetJeessThe problem is that they aren't together? If they are just recently married and in love, wouldn't they want to always be by each other's side? I wouldn't even want to leave a friend by themself.
@@SweetJeess I'm forgetting nothing. I'm not so dense I forgot any details of a few minutes long story. I don't fly a lot. I've never experienced first class. I would never ever choose to do it by leaving my partner on our honeymoon and using their money and points to do it. It's irrelevant because it's a main character syndrome move on his part, and no partner should have to point it out. His bad behavior due to only thinking of himself isn't an argument to his pov. These are my expectations for people I would be in a partnership with. If others have lower standards or expectations that's on them. But I wouldn't lower mine nor do I think this wife should.
Story 4: yall got so got up on the "why didn't he offer business class to his wife" when the real issue was that it qas their HONEYMOON! She wanted to sit TOGETHER! She made it clear they were supposed to only upgrade if there were 2 spots available
@@petalchild idk this might be a hot take and is my personal opinion, but i read the post on reddit before this and to me it came off as kind of agressive on her part as well. I understand her frustration because it's their honeymoon he was just thinking about himself at that moment, and I don't disagree with telling him to kick rocks when when he came to her like "why didn't you support me", but using language like "he abandoned me" and "you should've thought about that before you left me alone" i just don't think it helps the situation lol (it was a 4 hour flight and they were both on the same plane, "abandoning" is a lil too much), and maybe that's because I don't see the big deal about sitting in different seats on a flight, i mean that's the least interesting thing i'm probably gonna do during my _honeymoon_ so yeah i don't see the reason to be so upset about it. And I agree he shouldn't have just spent her flight points just like that, i don't think that was what bothered OP the most tho, it was the fact that he wanted to flight coach and she didn't want him to bc she wanted them to fly together. I think she should've expressed that morer firmly instead of feeling like she had to say yes because there was people waiting (who cares if they stop the line for a minute tbh that happens all the time) and maybe that set the tone for the rest of the issue. (like i also understand being defensive if my partner starts snapping back at me for something i thought they had agreed with before). Overall maybe this didn't need to become a big thing and hopefully they were able to talk and make up, otherwise they're just gonna keep arguing like that during their honeymoon and is it rlly worth it? idk.
@@aracelyaguirre18 That's not true at all, it's just this weird myth that loads of people are totally convinced of. I've never paid any interest and my score is 802. Paying the whole balance off before it's due is always best.
Story 6: The guest's first reaction is baffling me on this one. The couple has been together for TEN YEARS. That isn't "oh they're just dating". They're planning their lives together and making life choices TOGETHER. So him doing that and trying to hide it is a red flag.
Exactly this. They may not be married but they're still financially intertwined. This could make it difficult for them to buy a house or start a family. The boyfriend clearly doesn't make sound financial decisions and if he's not willing to talk about it now, why would he be willing to discuss it in the future? Just because they might be getting married at some point? He doesn't have to be super financially literate but he should have the sense to talk about big financial decisions with his partner. It's not rocket science.
Yes, I was looking for this comment! They have been living together for ten years, getting married is basically a formality at this point. I‘m not from the US, but I‘ve heard similar things from Americans before. Is this maybe a cultural thing? I feel like in my country long term relationships are taken very seriously and getting married doesn‘t really change much, because you have already started your lives together a long time before that.
I agree with her. She's just a girlfriend not a wife and he makes it loud and clear. He hasn't even proposed yet. They talk about marriage but him not proposing YET says a lot and his reaction being "that's my money" should solidified how after 10 years he doesn't see her as a wife but a live in girlfriend only. It happens a lot. Man will string you along for 5+ years, not proposed and the day after you break up, meet their love of their life.. propose after 6 months. Playing house ≠ marriage.
Yes this! My husband and I were together for about a decade before we finally tied the knot. Even at like 5 or 6 years weren't "just dating" we were in it for the long haul. If my husband pulled something like this I would 100% consider ending the relationship. If you don't think you should mention such a huge decision to your partner, you're either hiding something or you don't consider your partners opinion as important at all. Either way this is not something you want in a future spouse.
In story 3 I feel like everyone’s skipping over the fact that he straight up said “something is wrong” and “I have to go to the hospital” like.. he didn’t come out the gate saying “my balls hurt” 💀
It reminded me of one of those "missing 'missing reason'" episodes. It was really weird he was specifically not invited to the birthday party and had such strong feelings about clubbing, even if it is a place 5 minutes away and with his gf. And why did they not have a way to communicate emergencies to each other before one happens? The way she reacted so strongly by even blocking him makes me think he has been really controlling before. Either way, that would suck a lot to be him in the story, and it is good that his surgery was successful
This was exactly my thought. As soon as you read the word “Hospital” go see what’s wrong. If it ends up being nothing, laugh later. But once the word hospital is thrown out, instantly treat it as if it could be the real thing. Pick up the phone and talk through it is the bare minimum. For real.
@@Jakebrand11208 he literally did? What are you saying? I think you misread my comment I’m saying that he explained himself just fine before mentioning his balls.
Story 6: If you’re discussing getting engaged or buying a home together, you should also sharing large financial decisions with your partner and determine what’s considered a large financial decision (is it over $1,000 or over $10,000 for example). I would not be comfortable moving forward with marriage or home buying with anyone who says “Well technically you have no right to ask, it’s my money!” That would be a major red flag.
I agree completely. Plus who doesn't tell their best friend/SO if they are making a large money decision? They don't need permission, but they usually benefit from getting a second opinion from someone they trust. If he was worried about judgement, he needed to consider whether he was doing something he might not be proud of or if he is with someone who would blow up if they spoke about large financial decisions
Not just the decision, but REFUSING to tell how much debt he has and why, and is he still accruing more debt. What is his plan to pay back? Will he truly join her plan in saving for a home? If he has child payments and health issues or anything, he should just tell it.
Story 3 - I once found my brother having a non responsive seizure (no body jolts just not responding) and I panicked. I called my mum on repeat untill she answered (5 ish times). I told her what was happening and she said hang up and call an ambulance. Then I did. She got home just before they arrived and she went woth him in the ambulance. He was later diagnosed with a brain tumor and is now 100% fine. Scariest moment of my life. When you or someone you love is in trouble you reach out to family or loved ones first. They help ground you.
In story 6, they are not just bf/gf, they are planning on marriage and have discussed finances and laid out plans to pay off debt. He did need to talk to her about it. He is showing a lack of financial stability and lack of good decision making. She deserves to know about these things before taking vows with him.
I 100% agree. I had a friend who was engaged until she found out he had almost $100k in credit card debt. She told him she would continue to be in a relationship but couldn’t sign papers and take on his debt. And she was disappointed in how much he lied about his financial status. BUT she offered to stick around and help him. He called her a “gold digger” 🙄 and broke it off. She never asked him for money and was willing to stay and help his situation even after finding out. He just got his ego bruised and embarrassed for his own decisions. They broke up and she is glad she saw his true colors before making it legal.
I personally used to think completely seperate finances were a good thing. But have changed my tune quite a bit. My ex earned a lot more than me and we were together for 13 years. He broke up with me but felt the need to come clean later that he'd spent a small fortune on not on mobile games but also only fans. I never had any knowledge of this but I never have access to his finances. I think there is a delicate balance. You should know how they're are spending their money but also no judging like people should enjoy the money they earn but also being completely unaware of how your partner is spending their money is never a good thing.
Last story: I think the fact that he lied about where the $ came from is a big deal. I don’t think it’s 50k total. I think he lied about the bonus. It’s too much of a coincidence that both things (bonus & 401k) were $25k each. It is a big red flag for OP.
Story 6: living together for 10 years they aren’t “just dating” they are defacto. Not to mention you are discussing getting married and buying a house. If he can’t discuss financial matters now it’s only going to get worse.
In response to Story number one, I would have done the same thing. I would not have been able to let this cat eat itself to literal death. Overfeeding your pets is not cute, you're taking so much away from your pet. Then being able to play and explore without it being difficult, or even have the energy to do so. I work with animals and it is heartbreaking when I see a pet coming who is unable to even stand up...
In the second story, Kate sounds insecure that OP can communicate with the mother in-law better than she can. So she would get jealous and view it as OP trying to win her over. She projected her insecurities about the cultural/language barriers onto OP. If she doesn’t feel secure in her relationship she needs to deal with that in therapy or with her fiancé instead of talking shit about OP.
I don’t think I have ever commented on a video before, but I heard the first story and I just NEEDED to comment. I run a non-profit cat rescue in Michigan for special needs cats, and one of the specialties we focus on is weight loss for extremely large cats. Here’s my hot take, based on my 20 years of experience in animal rescue (my parents started our rescue when I was 8, I’m 29 now and director of our rescue) 1. Weight loss in cats MUST. BE. VET. LED. I cannot express this enough. Yes it is important they lose weight when they’re that big, BUT if cats loose weight too fast they can have severe kidney and liver issues. If we cut too many calories on them, it can be detrimental to their health. It has to be GRADUAL and that’s why it NEEDS to be vet led! I don’t agree with the fact that this person didn’t consult a vet. 2. Gravity bowl feeders are not recommended. And that is why Juno got to be so large. So I agree with taking away the gravity bowl feeder. Anything beyond this should have been vet led. 3. The laws in America for animal ownership are kind of gray, and here’s what I mean by that. If you are caring for a cat, most states will therefore say the cat belongs to you. Example: feeding strays? If the The state gets involved for some reason, in most cases they will tell you that you are the cats caretaker so you’re responsible. This makes it dicey when it comes to leaving your cat in somebodies care long term. If you leave your cat in your friends care long term (I consider longer that 4 weeks long term) and they have the cat in their home and are responsible for the cat? They can take you to court for the ownership of the cat, and they will most likely win. In 20 years of animal welfare, that is how I have seen these situations go. The only way I’ve seen it not go that way is when you put the cat up at a boarding facility. “Rehoming” your cat, even temporarily, grays the lines of cat ownership in almost all US states. So when her friend said “listen it’s my cat…” the law would kind of disagree with that, saying she abandon her cat for a year with this person and they care for Juno better so Juno is their cat now. At my rescue, I’m not even allowed to temporarily house cats for people. If you bring your cat to my rescue (any rescue in the state of Michigan) you’re required to legally surrender it to us. And then it is our animal to place back up for adoption and rehome. And if you do surrender your pet, we cannot adopt that animal back to you. We’re not allowed to have animals in our care that aren’t signed into our care, so I couldn’t just keep your cat without you surrendering it to me. That’s why we must do stray holds on found animals, giving the owner time to come back before it’s declared legally ours to rehome. (In Michigan the stray hold time is 7 days.) So what I’m trying to say is: -Juno’s diet needed to be vet led. And if you’re going to help your pet lose weight, it needs to be vet led. -don’t use gravity feeders -don’t leave your pet long term in anyone’s care and expect to get them back.
Yes. Very informative comment!! That was my first thought. I was thinking about what I would do in her position and I would definitely take the cat to the vet to get it on a specific healthy diet. I think with the friend that was right and it's incredibly unfortunate the owner is going to continue to abuse her cat
Do you find that wet food is better for cats than dry food? My cats only eat dry food but I recently have been wondering if making the switch would be more beneficial for them.

The way I interpreted it was that it was still fairly early in the night. But you make a great point. I think it’s more so the fact that she ignored his emergency. She just needed to be there for him.
i agree, but to expand on this: she's drunk. he's not thinking clearly because he's in pain and SHE'S not thinking clearly because she's DRUNK and at 22, it's not surprising that she might assume he was exaggerating or pranking her or such my friends and i have sent each other "I'm dying" just because we're in a little more pain than usual SO MANY TIMES
@@tortillachips3911 personally, I feel when one is drunk, their true secret sober emotions come out. If my partner had an emergency while I’m drunk, I’d make it a point to stumble out quickly. The fact she had no care feels like she doesn’t give a shit frankly
@imp6916 i mean, im pretty sure thats a myth about the "teue self" thing, but regardless, they should break up. he's not going to be able to get over this for YEARS
Story 6 - as someone who lives in a country where marriage isn’t as important I completely understand why she is upset. My partner and I will never marry, we live together, own a house together and if he did something like this without talking to me I would be furious.
Being together for so long, without marriage your lives still have a lot of legal ties. It’s wild that they were talking about it as if they had only been dating for a couple years not a decade.
1:30:40 I'm sorry what? NO REASON to be mad? She explicitly said that they agreed to budget finance together, and that it's a tram effort. He showed her that he's 1) irresponsible with money 2)would hide from her important info 3) definitely not the partner that she's looking for. She has all rights to be mad at him, show this, and make it the reason for a break up Side note: maybe it's just American thing, but marriage doesn't change anything. Literally. The only changes are legal, which of course give some reassurance, but practically change nothing in the couple(or should not change anything). If he's already this secretive and unreliable, and most importantly doesn't want to change, oh yes she can be as mad as she can, it's not only his financial situation, but also hers.
For story 6, i totally think she has a reason to be mad, especially since they sound like they were financial planing for the future. Talking about houses, kids, budgeting, etc. is not "just dating." Also!! i think all couples that are even relatively serious should be discussing finances, even if its just service level. How someone managed their money is an important aspect of a marriage/relationship. My boyfriend and I talk about our finances a lot. He knows how im paying off my student loans, i know what he is saving for, etc. Anyways, i get it is his money, but they are basically common law marriage at this point with living together for 10 years.
I like a lot of their guests that are from other podcasts. When the guests don't understand how they will sound in the microphone, it is hard to listen to
Yes... I felt kinda bad (she comes across as a loveable oddball) but the laughter wasn't great. This feature, almost like a nervous tic, isn't all that uncommon. I have a particular aversion to frequent silent laughter... not like when someone is laughing long and hard - most people do that, I mean almost every laugh. One of the hosts of another podcast (audio only) I love used to have the weirdest long silent laugh. It sounded like he'd half swallowed his microphone because I swear I could hear his tonsils contracting.
My cat is free fed bc my schedule is kind of hectic. But I monitored him in the beginning to make sure he didn’t overeat. He’s really good about regulating his hunger, his vet says he is at a healthy weight even 4 years later. But if I saw he was overeating I would have gotten him a timed feeder. Pets rely on us to feed them so it’s our responsibility to make sure their diet is balanced and they’re eating the correct amount.
Same, I have three cats and all are free fed; none are overweight. I feel like mine could care less about food half the time 😂wonder if it just depends on how you raise them bc I’ve always free fed all of our cats since childhood and we’ve never had an overweight cat
Yeah my cat was free fed and super healthy, but I adopted her at 5 years old from the shelter. My understanding was her owner sadly passed away, but they trained her incredibly well. However, when I fostered younger cats (like 3-6 months old) you couldn’t free feed them. Some can instinctively regulate but some will gorge themselves. This is gross but I had one 3 month cat who even on a regular feeding schedule would gorge herself so fast without chewing properly that she’d puke it all back up in mostly whole chunks. So I had to sit with her and give her small amounts at a time until she ate her full portion so she’d slow down. After about a month she was able to handle the whole portion at each feeding time.
Weirdly one of my 3 cats actually lost weight when I started free feeding them all and I think its just due to not stressing about loosing their food to the others. Before shed sit and gorge the whole bowl instantly and now I see her walk to the free feeder and take a couple bites before walking off, probably because she knows there's Always more for later(at least what it seems like). She's still the chunkiest of the three and in general just is a lap cat which doesn't help but the other two are well within healthy range and energy level. @@sarwall_
For the ball story: Yes he told her his balls hurt, but he also said that he needs to go to the hospital now. So not sure how you ignore that. I’d dump anyone who ignored my pleas to take me to the hospital. Horrible person!
About the question "why call your S.O before calling 911", I worked in an Emergency Response Centre for one of those senior alert buttons. We were taught that when they request 911 be called for them, that afterwards, we also contact there personal emergency contacts bc they will normally arrive first. Alot of times seniors live so so close to there family too, which was a factor, but mainly bc your family is going to beat the ambulance 80% of the time.
what we also need to keep in mind is our weight and their weight are not equal a couple pounds is like putting on about 10 their joints can't take it, so keeping them at a healthy weight is so very Important
Yes! My mom’s cat put on 2 extra pounds over time and she couldn’t get her to lose weight but could tell she was uncomfortable. I worked at Petsmart so she asked me to talk to someone about it. She needed more protein and is a healthy weight now. She’s big boned, so still looks bigger but she can jump all the way up her tower, she doesn’t beg for food all the time, and she purrs much more often. Feeding cats properly is so imperative to their health!
If I am babysitting, and the parents ask me to use an abusive technique, there is no way in hell I would follow their directions. And I might even lie and tell the parents I will so that they don't find a bad babysitting that is willing to enact the abusive directions
I've been binging this channel lately, and my cat of 16 years just passed away two days ago. She was an extremely opinionated and very sassy old lady, and I loved her so much, so opening this video and seeing Juni made me so happy! Lots of love for the kitties with strong personalities out there 💖
I'm really glad you touched on the topic if grooms friends/ groomsmen, because that was a BIG deciding factor in ending my last relationship and whether on purpose or not, I was made to feel somewhat crazy in that, even though there was repeated disrespect and harsh things Said about me because I wouldn't feed into their bad behavior and would say if something was messed up. This made me feel very validated, so thank you.
Story 3: she should’ve checked on him but I do see the “my balls hurt” not feeling urgent, but he also said I need to go to the hospital. Blocking him was out of pocket. The bracelet in a chip bag sounds like she wants to go out and he doesn’t want to or wants her to stay in and he hides a bracelet or jewelry she’s trying to put on in a chip bag to delay her going out. Which would be annoying but it’s not on par with saying I need to go to the hospital my balls hurt. Story 4: she specifically said she didn’t want the upgrade if it wasn’t for both of them. He should’ve listened to her.
Yeah, I'm not sure why but the dude does give off this clingy attention seeking victim playing vibe. I bet the gf was just so done with it and wanted to enjoy one night to herself instead of him demanding all attention.
Story 3: There's a lot of updates and comments now on Reddit, the club where she was is literally a 5min walk from their place. It's wild she didn't check on him. He also posted pictures of the text convo and he said a lot more, it was obvious he was in distress. He also apparently never texted or called for her to come home when she was out with her friends before.:(
Story 3 is actually insane. You ALWAYS should answer a call from your partner if you’re out because you never know if it’s an emergency. Especially if followed up by a text that says “I need to go to the hospital”. Literally I had this happen where my partner was weightlifting at home and dislocated his shoulder and tore his ligament. I was working from home that day but in our office so I didn’t hear anything except a yell for my name, but I ignored it since I thought he just needed something stupid. But then I heard him yell again louder this time and I knew something was wrong because he wouldn’t be interrupting me during work if it wasn’t something urgent. I saw him on the ground holding his arm looking like he was about to pass out and I rushed him to the hospital. You NEVER should ignore your partner ever.
The story with the man needing to go to the hospital, I think he should dump her. The moment my bf says he needs to go to the hospital, I'm on my way. No questions asked. She didn't take his plea for help, and that's not someone I would want to spend the rest of my life with.
For story 5, I feel like I've heard similar situations to this so many times from Reddit and one of my thoughts is; why are people obsessed with bombarding? The person who was wronged initially to do something they don't want to do? What is her presence at the wedding going to do and why do they care about it? Why want that type of drama or that type of energy at the wedding? I feel like those people are sick in the head trying to force someone to do something she doesn't want to
I have heard other stories like this like you said, so I tried to take a deep dive into it. I think there are different reasons for different people in each story, but I think a big one is anxiety when a situation is still "up in the air". If they are waiting to see if OP will show up at the wedding and how that will go, they are imagining terrible scenarios in their head and feeling anxious. When they are telling OP to get over it, they feel a bit of control in the outcome rather than being at the mercy of OP's actions that are still undecided. In this story, it is likely the parents also feel guilt for keeping Taylor's secret and causing some of OP's pain. They are asking OP to act like everything is fine so that they aren't confronted by her negative feelings that they have contributed to.
THIS!!!! add to this that shes young (only 22!!) and probably hasnt even ever had to call 911 before? aint no way shes taking "its an emergency" as an ACTUAL emergency i said this in another comment, but my friends and i have sent each other "im dying" when talking about headaches or cramps or whatever SO MANY TIMES
@@tortillachips3911if my partner said they needed to go to the hospital I would take it seriously. And the fact that he kept calling trying to get her to come home should be enough.
Testicular torsion is no joke! It happened to my husband 8 months into us dating and I never doubted him or his pain. I rushed him to the ER immediately and he had emergency surgery. I never once left his side until I was forced to by my MIL. This happened 9 years ago and he’s terrified of it happening again but it shouldn’t since he had surgery to prevent it 🤞🏽
If you are vomiting from pain, I imagine texting “balls hurt” was hard enough- can’t really be more descriptive when you are literally vomiting from pain.
@@hayamirin6795 no he didn’t. I’m just speaking as a person with chronic pain. I know I can’t move when my back locks up, I can’t imaging texting for help, if you can’t call- that was my main point.
it is always funny to me when Morgan is introducing someone and is like implying that everyone should know them without question, but it is someone that I have literally never heard of
He sent 'my balls hurt' to a woman hours into a night out clubbing and drinking and expected her to know he was being serious? Once she found out she was super apologetic and understood completely, it's not like she belittled his feelings knowingly. And yeah her immediately calling it games and blocking him tells me he's done something similar before and from her drunk perspective she was just setting a boundary with a bf giving her an unserious scenario. Regardless of her intentions or the details though, his trust is still damaged. Imo it's fixable via therapy and communication
i also would want to hear her side. i have had guys and know of guys that dislike their gf being out so they will make things up for her to come home. maybe she thought it was one of those times but its all speculation
Thank you! This is how I was feeling. A) "my balls hurt" doesn't sound serious. He really could have explained it better, like he did in the post b) maybe she has a reason to believe he's fucking around or being dramatic. Maybe he's a clinger/controlling and she just wanted to practice boundaries while out with her best friend. I also have an inherent bias when it comes to (cis) men though. I'm always a little suspicious. Honestly though, he might be doing her a favour if he breaks up with her. She sounds like she might be checked out of the relationship based on the annoyed reactions to him calling. I imagine if he typically left her alone when she went out then him suddenly calling this time would be a signal that something was wrong.
I’m sorry do your boyfriends/ partners just randomly text you that their balls hurt after trying to call you multiple times and texting and you find it not serious? The least she could’ve fucking done was answer the damn phone especially if she loved him. Sounds like maybe you would do the same thing to your partner?
@@ZestyAsh if she was out grocery shopping I'm sure she would've picked up the first ring, heard the genuine pain in his voice, and come home. Context is everything 🤷♀️ And yeah if I was drunk, surrounded by my besties at a birthday party, in a nightclub, knew my partner was a prankster and he sent me something so funny I'd assume it was a joke too and not answer much lol idk why so many seem to think they'd magically know how serious the issue was
I struggle a lot with the 3rd story. My abusive ex did that allll the time when I went out. Saying she was having a panic attack or didn’t feel good so I HAD to come home this second. It wasn’t sometimes, it was allll the time I went out without her. She was controlling in other ways that others didn’t/couldn’t see. Not saying OP is doing that to her but there’s always another side of the coin. Maybe he has done this before a few times before and it was nothing, but this time it was serious. Stories like this just always make me second guess everything because of my experience 💕
100% this was my first thought too, I feel like there's some major details being left out by him because why would her first thought would be to block him. That's going from 1 to 100 so fast for seemingly no reason? Nahhh. Sounds fishy to me.
Story 4 : In our flight back from our honeymoon, I was offered an upgrade and not my husband. I refused. That's the only thing to do, it's the damn honeymoon!!!
I decided on this episode to try listening to the podcast on Spotify for the first time (instead of watching it on UA-cam) but all the talk about the kitty and I was like damn now I got to watch it to see the fluffer. This was not the episode to go audio only… you got to see that precious face! ❤😻
13:35 I didn’t hear any mention of consulting with a veterinarian regarding the chonk KitKat!! That’s where it should have started, BEFORE making any changes to her baby’s diet!!! 🐈⬛ 🐈
Story 4: Husband is TA. she EARNED those flight points from all the travel she is required to do for her work! Then she finally gets enough points to qualify for an upgrade and he just swoops in and takes it from her??? On their honeymoon, no less? She could have just as easily done that to him. After all, they were HER points. But clearly, she'd never even consider doing something like that (presumably, because she's a decent person). So not only does he take her upgrade, but he does it on their honeymoon, then he guilt trips her for not comforting him by text the whole time on the flight? Dude, he needs to be returned to sender!
she didn't do it because she flies business all the time, she talked about that in the comments. I don't agree with the husband but I also don't agree with her either, personally because i don't see having to flight next to your partner as a very serious issue. And then she goes to say "he abandoned me. he ditched me and left me alone" you're both on the same plane.. it was a 4 hr flight. And then, after being defensive on the plane and guilt tripping him for taking the upgrade, she's upset that he's guilt tripping?? both of them acted poorly imo i would hate to start my honeymoon like that

Something I’ve learned from my Vibration’s Professor is that while everyone wants to sit in the front of the plane; in the teeny tiny chance the place malfunctions it is safer to sit behind the wing. The people in the front get sucked in.
For credit cards and credit scores: my mom worked at a bank in the cc department. People would call asking for limit increase and were shocked when they were told no, because they either didn't have a credit score or it was poor and not increasing. They'd always comments that they use their cc all the time and immediately pay it off. That's the problem. You need to wait for the purchases to show up on your statement (usually 2 business days) and then pay it. So put the money aside and pay when posted. If it doesn't post to your statement, it doesn't show up for a credit report and it looks like you don't use your cc. So yes pay it off quickly, but wait for it to post to the statement first.
The best way to give a teen/young adult a great credit score is to add them as an authorized user on the parent's oldest credit card (given the parents have excellent credit). And make them a new separate card at the same time, and tell them to pay the balance every week (or whenever it goes above 30% of their credit limit). I'd love to say trust me, but I hope people are discerning when taking financial advice from the internet, so please check NerdWallet, Investopedia, Experian, or your financial institution to verify that this is good advice for your situation.
The ball story: we don’t know how often he tries to convince her to not hang out with her friends or how often he cuts her nights short. All he said was “my balls hurt” doesn’t sound serious at all. The fact she showed up as soon as she realized what happened, stayed with him, and apologized profusely shows that she cares. This isn’t your typical narc who blames the person. But he can dump for whatever reason he wants, I just don’t think the gf is completely in the wrong
I was thinking the same thing!! Why was he specifically not invited to the party? And he had weird undertones when saying he hates clubbing and all associated with it. I bet he calls and needs something from his gf often while he is out. And who answers a call in a club? Speech to text is as easy as speaking on the phone, and he could call a bunch of times after that if she didn't read the text. She reacted like anyone with a slightly controlling bf would in that situation. They didn't seem to go through the story from her pov and find the missing "missing reasons".
The boyfriend didn't only say his balls hurt, he also said somethings wrong and he needs to go to the hospital. Also the actual reddit story has a lot of updates and clarifications such as telling us he never had a problem with her going out before, nor has he ever pranked her with scares like that ever before. Would you abandon your partner like that without as much as a call? Mind you she could even quickly walk there since it's a literal 5 minute walk
@@clairer342you're assuming too much. The boyfriend didn't only say his balls hurt, he also said somethings wrong and he needs to go to the hospital. This isn't specifically a judgement of OP's girlfriend in Story 3. but testicular torsion is no joke. It's when the testicle twists around resulting in restricted blood flow to the testicle. Like when blood flow is restricted to any part of the body, if it happens for even just a few hours, that part may need to be amputated. In short, this was very, very serious.
story 4: dude’s the asshole! it’s their honeymoon!! it’s your HONEYMOON! your wife was so considerate and didnt want to be upgraded without you bc she knows you have flight anxiety. then you just went off and only thought of yourself but still expected her to take care of you? the level of selfishness in that story on his behalf shocks me (but it is a man after all so im not too shocked lol).
I haven’t finished listening so this might be addressed but For story 4 I think the guy was completely in the wrong because it was their HONEYMOON. They’ve JUST gotten married and he’s already leaving her? Using HER points after she told the first agent AND the agent that approached them she’d only want the upgrade if it was available for them both? Weirdo behavior
Story 6- I think he lied about the bonus and the 25k was his 401k not a bonus from work. I think the fact that they have been together for 10years, they are planning on buying a house together and getting married means he should be discussing this with her.
The chip bag prank is very Winston Bishop coded lmao! (and if the gf thought the ball hurting were a prank that would be the "going to far" Winston Bishop prank 🤣)
I was trying to figure out what they even meant by that, and one commenter says they think he would take a bracelet that she wants to wear out to an event and hide it in a chip bag to delay her leaving for the night
The cute cat is so wonderfully distracting 💖 My cat is 14 now but she could jump from the ground to the top of the fridge. She can still jump the counter to the top of the fridge. We don’t keep plants up there anymore.
Story 3, He should have given more context via text. Of course she’s not going to answer the phone, she’s in a club & probably drinking. Also, “pop over & check on him,” since when is going in & out of the club so easy? On another note, I don’t understand people who call their friends when they need an ambulance. Unless the friend is an EMT, call for actual help. If you’re in dire crisis, don’t put that on them!
its about the same reason why the emergency people ask if you have someone to drive you to the hospital, there is a chance that they'll take too long because a number of reasons (main one being that there is no one available to come at the time). It took 3 hours for the ambulance to get to my house when it's an 30 min drive when my father was suffering from the same condition as OP, he is lucky to still have his balls.
1. Ambulances are crazy expensive and not always covered by insurance. 2. There are limited numbers of Ambulances so one might not have even been available. 3. How much more context did she need than multiple texts and calls begging her to help. Honestly anyone who thinks this way is a shit person. Playing would've, should've, could've? I bet in an emergency you'd be no better. It's the victim blaming for me.
I mean he said he needed to go to a hospital in the text, and he was in an excruciating amount of pain that only allowed him to give just the bare minimum information. He's not typing full symptoms out in text, and I bet you wouldn't be able to do the same. Also, he could have absolutely given her more context if she had ANSWERED the phone after he called multiple times. She probably wouldn't have been able to drive, but like even at my drunkest I would never blow off anyone I love/care about, let alone a boyfriend of 5 years. After 2 calls from anyone I'm thinking its dire.
@@mywatchdoesmath4669she definitely should have picked up the phone, the only reason I can think is if it was too loud for her to hear the phone so she wanted a text. I’ve never had a SO, but if my roommate was calling that many times I would pick up the phone! And she’s supposed to love this person!

story 1: the original owner either wants their cat to be obese bc they like the aesthetics of a chonky cat, or they're super cheap and don't want to spend a little extra money for wet food, which is ridiculous because there are high quality budget wet foods. people like this don't deserve animals, and i would seriously consider bringing up neglect concerns to a local shelter to blacklist the friend from adopting + finding a new home for the cat.
Yes it's bizarre. Or she's one of those people that don't believe in enacting your will on your pets. Some people project human feelings and problems onto animals. So she might feel like making the cat diet is "fat shaming".
@@kristinaerickson2353i thought the same. Maybe the owner has a complex history with food and dieting themselves and are now projecting on their cat?? Or are just neglectful either due to laziness or unavailability to stick to a feeding schedule but that can easily be amended with an automatic dry food dispenser with a timer.
Story 5- I appreciate the Taylor and Travis reference! Also, poor OP, I can’t believe the ex-fiancé married her cousin and that the parents didn’t tell her. 😢

100%
The cat not being able to jump on a couch, it’s heavy breathing which for a cat is nuts.

I think people need to understand that neglect IS abuse ALWAYS if you neglect a child or animal it is abuse.
If you want your animal to lose weight however you need to get a vet to give you a feeding plan and monitor your cats weight. If a cat loses too much weight too fast is kills their liver and they can even die from it.
Yeah I know 😊@@natanaru
@@bxbydrxgxn of course but sometimes people do neglectful stuff by accident which is why I don't jump to say abuse until I know more about the situation.

@@shelbylynn7399I agree, it probably wasn’t safe for her to drive.
@@tanyastacy-haws993 It might have been an honest mistake on her part, but an unforgivable one nonetheless (at least imo).
I genuinely don’t understand why he couldn’t have just upgraded both of them to business
@@ManicBubblesThere probably weren’t two seats available. One person who had booked business probably cancelled their flight so there was literally only one seat available.

She already knew she wouldn't leave his side under any circumstances because of his fears. He left her without hesitation and then whined when he hurt her feelings.

Overall maybe this didn't need to become a big thing and hopefully they were able to talk and make up, otherwise they're just gonna keep arguing like that during their honeymoon and is it rlly worth it? idk.

Same thoughts on the comment and replies because wth!
You actually think he was going to talk rationally 😂
This was exactly my thought. As soon as you read the word “Hospital” go see what’s wrong. If it ends up being nothing, laugh later. But once the word hospital is thrown out, instantly treat it as if it could be the real thing. Pick up the phone and talk through it is the bare minimum. For real.

I would not be comfortable moving forward with marriage or home buying with anyone who says “Well technically you have no right to ask, it’s my money!” That would be a major red flag.
Plus they’ve been together 12 years. That’s common law in come places.
And marriage would NOT change this situation. 401k is a personal account but it absolutely affects your partner's future too.
Maybe it is for an engagement ring
Yeah the way I heard it I thought he lied about getting a bonus in the first place and just used the 401k money to pay off the debt
@@BernadinoBinch that’s what I got from it too.
Story 6: living together for 10 years they aren’t “just dating” they are defacto. Not to mention you are discussing getting married and buying a house. If he can’t discuss financial matters now it’s only going to get worse.
Thank you! Idk how they didn't see that 😕
In response to Story number one, I would have done the same thing.
Here’s my hot take, based on my 20 years of experience in animal rescue (my parents started our rescue when I was 8, I’m 29 now and director of our rescue)
(In Michigan the stray hold time is 7 days.)
So what I’m trying to say is:
-Juno’s diet needed to be vet led. And if you’re going to help your pet lose weight, it needs to be vet led.
-don’t use gravity feeders
-don’t leave your pet long term in anyone’s care and expect to get them back.
Yes. Very informative comment!! That was my first thought. I was thinking about what I would do in her position and I would definitely take the cat to the vet to get it on a specific healthy diet. I think with the friend that was right and it's incredibly unfortunate the owner is going to continue to abuse her cat
This comment deserves more likes!
Do you find that wet food is better for cats than dry food? My cats only eat dry food but I recently have been wondering if making the switch would be more beneficial for them.
Love the cat! The owner is way too giggly lol sorry

The ball guy one: I know the thought was she’d come home but if she’s already been drinking.. she wouldn’t have been able to drive him to the hospital?
The way I interpreted it was that it was still fairly early in the night. But you make a great point. I think it’s more so the fact that she ignored his emergency. She just needed to be there for him.
And also if she had been drinking “my balls hurt” seems like a really dorky come on… I’d think he was horny 😂
i agree, but to expand on this: she's drunk. he's not thinking clearly because he's in pain and SHE'S not thinking clearly because she's DRUNK
and at 22, it's not surprising that she might assume he was exaggerating or pranking her or such
my friends and i have sent each other "I'm dying" just because we're in a little more pain than usual SO MANY TIMES
Blocking your bf is crazy
Story 4: hes the a hole simply because its a honeymoon flight, any other time sure but on the honeymoon?!
1:30:40 I'm sorry what? NO REASON to be mad? She explicitly said that they agreed to budget finance together, and that it's a tram effort. He showed her that he's 1) irresponsible with money 2)would hide from her important info 3) definitely not the partner that she's looking for. She has all rights to be mad at him, show this, and make it the reason for a break up
Side note: maybe it's just American thing, but marriage doesn't change anything.
Anyways, i get it is his money, but they are basically common law marriage at this point with living together for 10 years.
this 1000%
The constant nervous laughter was a little rough, I love the episodes with Lauren & Alejandra best, but new episodes seems to always be guests
She was a lovely guest, but yes, the nervous laughter throughout the episode was making ME nervous 😂
@@sarwall_
@@sarwall_ it's more about the personality of the cat. I got a greedy one and one that doesn't care about food
Same here, my cat has been free fed for 10 years and never had issues. I think it's more about the personality of the cat.
For the ball story:
Yes he told her his balls hurt, but he also said that he needs to go to the hospital now. So not sure how you ignore that. I’d dump anyone who ignored my pleas to take me to the hospital. Horrible person!
Morgan knows damn well that she’d freak out on Justin if he pulled that on their honeymoon flight.
This gorl laughs a lot
what we also need to keep in mind is our weight and their weight are not equal a couple pounds is like putting on about 10 their joints can't take it, so keeping them at a healthy weight is so very Important
thank you for saying this! i was looking for somone to say this. the friend is completely unreasonable.

He also apparently never texted or called for her to come home when she was out with her friends before.:(
@@LysandreGagne gotta go check it out
@@mariaevestusya the fact he thought a drunk girl at the club would be able to take him to the hospital is still bizarre to me idk
Story 6: showing your immaturity if you think being together for 10 years is not the same responsibility to each other as being married.
I deffo agree
STORY 3: I feel like everyone is forgetting that the girlfriend was likely drunk. She was partying and at the club. She likely was not her best mind.
THIS!!!! add to this that shes young (only 22!!) and probably hasnt even ever had to call 911 before? aint no way shes taking "its an emergency" as an ACTUAL emergency
i said this in another comment, but my friends and i have sent each other "im dying" when talking about headaches or cramps or whatever SO MANY TIMES

@TrentonNezzy But he didn't say that, did he? That's not sarcasm, btw I'm genuinely asking in case I missed it
@@hayamirin6795 no he didn’t. I’m just speaking as a person with chronic pain. I know I can’t move when my back locks up, I can’t imaging texting for help, if you can’t call- that was my main point.
Story 5: I would show up in my best dress with beautiful hair and make up, waiting for the best moment to be petty
Give a wink to a groomsman too
it is always funny to me when Morgan is introducing someone and is like implying that everyone should know them without question, but it is someone that I have literally never heard of
He sent 'my balls hurt' to a woman hours into a night out clubbing and drinking and expected her to know he was being serious? Once she found out she was super apologetic and understood completely, it's not like she belittled his feelings knowingly. And yeah her immediately calling it games and blocking him tells me he's done something similar before and from her drunk perspective she was just setting a boundary with a bf giving her an unserious scenario. Regardless of her intentions or the details though, his trust is still damaged. Imo it's fixable via therapy and communication
Exactly!!
i also would want to hear her side. i have had guys and know of guys that dislike their gf being out so they will make things up for her to come home. maybe she thought it was one of those times but its all speculation
Context is everything 🤷♀️
And yeah if I was drunk, surrounded by my besties at a birthday party, in a nightclub, knew my partner was a prankster and he sent me something so funny I'd assume it was a joke too and not answer much lol idk why so many seem to think they'd magically know how serious the issue was

58:59 OPs husband shouldn’t fly if he can’t handle it. You shouldn’t need comforting from your wife/husband on a flight you chose to take
yeaaahhh like if your animal is overweight and can’t do anything then you owe it to the cat to give it a better quality of life
I kind of love the ads now cause I can see Morgan’s “no makeup makeup” before and after. Because makeup is fun! Morgan you look great 👍 😊
The ball story: we don’t know how often he tries to convince her to not hang out with her friends or how often he cuts her nights short.
@@clairer342so it’s ok to abandon and block 😂
@@Jakebrand11208 abandon is a weird way to put it, and a temporary block isn’t hard to undo in an hour or a day later 👍

I am faced with the fact that I have been starved for a THT episode considering my phone showed this to me IMMEDIATELY
Also: A RAGDOLL KITTY OMIGOSH IM SO HAPPY TO BE HERE
Attending a wedding is always optional.
This is my first time seeing Alyssa outside of tiktoks and I just wanna say I'm pretty sure I just fell a little bit in love haha. She seems so sweet and I love her laugh, plus I relate to the cat obsession on a deep level lol. Will definitely be following her stuff from now on and would love to see her on the show again !! 🥰
thank you for having her on! I deleted tik tok and there’s a lot of creators I miss, her and juni being one of them 😭
This isn't specifically a judgement of OP's girlfriend in Story 3. but testicular torsion is no joke. It's when the testicle twists around resulting in restricted blood flow to the testicle. Like when blood flow is restricted to any part of the body, if it happens for even just a few hours, that part may need to be amputated. In short, this was very, very serious.
I know but like...imagine getting a text saying "my balls hurt" I would just think my boyfriend was horny 🤦🏽♀️
If my bf texted me “my balls hurt” id at least be like “what do you mean??????”
story 4: dude’s the asshole! it’s their honeymoon!! it’s your HONEYMOON! your wife was so considerate and didnt want to be upgraded without you bc she knows you have flight anxiety. then you just went off and only thought of yourself but still expected her to take care of you? the level of selfishness in that story on his behalf shocks me (but it is a man after all so im not too shocked lol).
Following LyssieLooLoo, I didn´t know her but now I love her!!! ❤Literally, the two most chill girls that I would looove to have as friends
Story 6- I think he lied about the bonus and the 25k was his 401k not a bonus from work. I think the fact that they have been together for 10years, they are planning on buying a house together and getting married means he should be discussing this with her.
my cat doesn’t massage my scalp with his teeth, but he does brush my hair with his claws 😂
But if I saw my loved one calling that much I definitely would have gone home if that was the case. I would be so worried!
I’ve never had a SO, but if my roommate was calling that many times I would pick up the phone! And she’s supposed to love this person!
@@BleuchuCakebut she was drunk and wouldn’t have been able to take him anyway
I LOVE Junie! She’s literally the chillest cat ever
Where’s the new episode Morgan😢 my room needs a deep clean and this podcast is my motivation
feltttt!😂😩
I used to have a cat that gave "scalp massages" - I always associated it as my kitty grooming me. I also have a kitty that brings me her toys at night and we play fetch for about 30 minutes before I go to sleep. ❤ Love listening to your podcasts while I am working ❤❤
For everyone asking where the new episode is, one of Morgans ponys has been sick! Between that and the Milwaukee show, that is why it is delyaed (:
thank you for this!
Ong the cat in this whole episode is soo cute probably one of my top fav episodes 😂❤
story 1: the original owner either wants their cat to be obese bc they like the aesthetics of a chonky cat, or they're super cheap and don't want to spend a little extra money for wet food, which is ridiculous because there are high quality budget wet foods. people like this don't deserve animals, and i would seriously consider bringing up neglect concerns to a local shelter to blacklist the friend from adopting + finding a new home for the cat.
im not sure if I watched your videos out of order of course, but when you said fiancee , I got so happy!!!! congrats to you both.
