It would really depend on the island because they use specific materials in their building style and those are the termite mound for a sort of concrete like material and the red clay if they were on shows like naked and afraid they might have to drastically change their building style and way of primitive survival
Maikeru Mane You’re right, didn’t think about that. Also the fact that they drop people into areas that are probably much more dangerous than where these guys are. Sometimes it takes days to find a good water source on that show, and then the risk of dangerous wildlife, not to mention that some of the contestants aren’t even survivalist and just wanted to see it they could do it.

Concrete is not that bad, the amount we have maybe, but just means were more of a rock earth. The inferno used to make the cement here is the earth, for our cement its an oven). From the internet the glue in cement is: To make Portland cement-the most common type of cement-powdered limestone is heated in a rotary kiln. As a source of calcium, it joins with powdered clay to produce a product called clinker, which is then ground with a source of sulfate, like gypsum. It is mixed with water, sand and crushed rock to create concrete.

The tree like stuff was likely hay or dried grass in concrete a plastic fibre is used called fibreglass (Glass fiber has roughly comparable mechanical properties to other fibers such as polymers and carbon fiber....from net). They also then used dyes and one or 2 different kinds of clays or rocks. This process is very similar if not the same as regular concrete. The only difference is how the material was changed like clay being used in a very hot kiln or the plastic fibres being extracted negatively possibly. Hows concrete made (in our world), recipe: 2 yogurt containers of HPB which is small stones, 2 yogurt contains of sand, one yogurt container of Portland cement (this is the stuff that is said to be bad, and it is for us in its refined particle, but its rock its natural its nature). I am just saying you said a statement because you heard it from another who might not have none much about what was going on, and this video I believe are made so they direct attention to the things we want to see without letting us know deep down there not much different. This guy made a space, using it so that he could make a secret sanctuary. But its a waste, water becomes unlivable with out it moving and without chemicals or a natural filtration like fish and plants. He did not do this project eco friendly or conservatively.
