I’ve watched so many videos on IEW because I hear good things but I’m not sure how it all works and what it entails, but this was so cut and clear and broke down so simply! Thank you so much.
I bought this for my son and haven't started using yet because I wasn't sure how to get started. This video was very helpful. He is 3rd grade but has a hard time writing. Thank for this video!
Just making sure I understand. It looks like it's 27 lessons. Is each lesson 5 days of material? That gives a lot of wiggle room if you have an approximately 36 week school year (definitely not opposed to that, but just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly.) Have you just moved on to the next book when you're finished with this one or do you use anything else to supplement writing/grammar/spelling to stretch this out over a longer period of time? I'm just starting to look into IEW for my 2nd grader and so appreciate this walk-through! Thank you!
Some weeks, towards the end, I’ll take the lessons and extend them for two weeks. We are also very different in that we homeschool year round. So when I’m done with IEW, I usually take a quick break and then jump to the next one.
Yes, but not like traditional schools. As you write the actual papers, you include new vocabulary words and you also have vocabulary cards. You should be using correct grammar and it’s one of those - when you do it you learn type of things. However, they do have a program called Fix-It Grammar that teaches grammar specifically. And it’s really really good. They also have a separate spelling program called Phonic Zoom that you can use alongside of this curriculum.
Great review! Have you purchased iew “People and Places”? I’m really curious how it compares to Bible Heroes especially since the books are by different authors. Any feedback you have would be helpful.

This looks great Leilani! I may add this in for Sophia and Marcus in January.
Leilani, you are amazing! I always appreciate your videos and the detail you share. Thank you! ❤️
Thank you so much Jamie!
I have been putting off printing off the resource notebook and now I’m going to.
Bible Heros looks great, love how similar it is to the rest of their units, but just goes more in depth
Yes, it is!
This looks great!! Thanks for being so detailed and sharing!
Thanks for watching!

Thank you Leilani for joining me on this collab ❤️
You are so welcome!
Leilani is their any images of Jesus in the book?
I couldn't find any.
What grades do you recommend this for based on your experience using it with your kids?
It really does depend on the child. In average I would say 2nd - 3rd grade and even 4th
@@LivingWithEve thank you!!
What grades do you think this is most suitable for based off of your teaching experience? It was too much for my first grader.
As early as 1st but it can go through the 4th. I think it's perfect for 2nd and 3rd.
Question, if your student was doing 6th grade in all subjects but doing 5th grade english would you still consider them a 6th grader? 😅
Yes. I look at it a developmental. However, when you get to HS you may want to consider the super senior year ( 5 years of HS).
Just bought 🎉
🥰

I have scanned it. It actually seems easier than Bible Heros.
