    When you get caught with a razor, you don’t even feel it at first. Very dangerous weapon. I was cut real bad over 30 years ago on a train. Manhattan didn’t even feel it was cut six times. Thank God it was on the arms and not my face.

    • @complexblackness
      @complexblackness Рік тому +2

      @iggymcgeek730 He meant caught in the same way, as a commentator who says a fighter caught another fighter with a punch.
      He obviously knows what cut means, he just used caught.
      Manhattan? Common sense says that the attack happened in Manhattan, while he was on a train.
      It's really not that hard to understand. You just wanted to try and correct someone.

    I have a black belt in Tang Soo Do karate and my instructor in Augusta, Georgia didn't focus on knife defense and what to do. I really think there are a lot of martial arts instructors don't take martial arts serious and I really need to start over again in training martial arts. I threw my black belt in the trash along with the Gi and the certificates many years ago, when I figured out that martial arts are a fantasy that have nothing to do with reality.
    Martial art technics are based on fine and complex motor movements, under a real attack the adrenal dump raises the heart rate above 150, at these BPM only gross motor movements work, irrelevant of how many repetitions were performed, a good example is putting your key on the door lock, even after thousands of repetitions if you are being chased by a threat it is very hard to unlock the door.

      @@rodvan-zeller6360our line about putting your key in the door.
      My father told me that he's seen guys so scared, that they dropped their keys trying to unlock doors.
      The only way to lessen the chances of dropping your keys, etc. Is to mentally prep yourself for serious situations.
      Visualization.

    • @rodvan-zeller6360
      @rodvan-zeller6360 Рік тому

      @@complexblackness Agreed, visualization is a very powerful tool, the brain does not know the difference between real or imagined, visualization create files to fall back on under adrenal stress, a big part of samurai training was "meditation" basically that is what they were doing, now, if you add physical stress drills in combination with visualization that generates even better performance.

    When you grab the blade and pull it to the side on the chest ..in Kali fashion the blade would slice into into the chest and then riticqe up and across in constant motion...if the guy knows what to do he might punch first to draw a response the follow with the blade....in reality the blade is felt before it's seen!! Make space..find cover....secure if you can some sort of shield...try all your moves with a white or light colored sweatshirt and make the blade a magic marker...you will see how much you get cut!

    This was a scary video. I remember when I was 16 during that 9/11 innocent I believed I could defeat someone pretty easy with a box cutter since the blade was short. As I gotten older than watch this video not so much. Batons probably the best defense against blade weapons bedsides running. Running would be the first option but for people that can't run fast it's not an option.

    From my experience everything works on weaker oponent and nothing on stronger. No matter what style or techniques use my oponents if i am stronger simply overpower them. But if they are stronger they overpower me. As simple as that. Jab will not be effective? Haha depends on how strong is the oponent. Cause i have very hard jab. Will not have enough power to KO you? If you have not teeth protection? Open mouth? Tongue swirl around while yelling "i will cut your face" . You half my weight. Half of your teeth will be gone. Probably broken jaws, tongue wounded and bleeding due to unusual and unexpected friction of tongue swirl between teeth. There is huge reason of using teeth protection and trying to avoid any jabs. The more you open mouth and scream the heavier the damage to your teeth and tongue and lips will be. Even is possible to swallow your own tongue from impact. So will bleed a hell of a lot more than i will from the pathetic cuts to the body. I will have clothes which provide almost perfect protection to slashes. The blade will simply slide. Even if you manage to make few lil cuts your head will be obliterated. Small surface cuts are easy to be fixed. Even duck tape will be more than enough to stop the bleeding. While internal bleeding, broken jaws, broken neck, swallowed bleeding tongue and teeth... And nobody says that i will do one Jab only. Wild swings creates tons of openings for jabs, hooks and uppercuts. And follow ups. Swings while oponent is throwing hard jabs and combinations is pure suicide. Kote gashi from aikido is also doable. Simply fall on your wrist with my body. Grab wrist swirl it and fall down. My body weight is more than enough to take down the oponent.

    In the old days, with a proper Stanley boxcutter, what you could do it put two blades in, with a match stuck between them. Then when you slice someone, you leave two parallel cuts that can't be stitched up.
    These new fangled boxcutters are lame.
