Love that you guys are talking about this stuff. Really important. One correction. AI will know you mislabeled the music. It ALREADY has been trained. So whatever you tell it as long as it has internet connection it will know you are not giving it accurate information. What now becomes important is that you make sure you tell it to let you know when you do misstep. In terms of emotion, this will not be an issue in 3 to 4 years. We will not be able to tell the difference like we can today.

Sonny is a smart relatable dude. He broke what they were saying down to where I could understand it him and that dude with the glasses offered a good perspective.

I see it like this , ai 🤖 not going anywhere, it’s only going to improve but like MJ Jacob said it will be a percentage of people that will use it & a percentage of people who won’t. Although it’s going to be entering certain categories while using it, if a label tries to generate a song based on genre, it will most likely be a infringement, laws suit, or even invoice of bill because it’s going to sound exactly like the original artist or composer who created the music already. So, sync will probably use it for a while to try it out till they start getting sued & billed for invoice then it’s going to be back to we need 100% human made sound recordings & composition.
Although, for the artist side people will be getting sued for copyright infringement/violations for use of people’s voice without permission or consent with contract splits, copyrights, & exchange of artists/producers IPI/CAE numbers.
However, the people that will be eligible to use ai 🤖 is the artist who retains ownership, copyrights , & IPI/CAE numbers of their own voice, sound recordings, business, & composition.
Ai will end up in the end just being A assistant tool to help artist & composers create, mix & mastering, use of voicing if it’s the artist voice who retains ownership, & create a composition but only if the composers original created sounds is 100% royalty free or Creative Commons licenses that won’t be sued/invoiced to the company for sampling.
We will soon see sampling die off for the fact that these label going to be getting taxed like crazy & losing more money then they making. The only way you’ll be able to use samples is if you get it cleared by the label you underneath because they own the artist sound recording, compositions, & masters or if you reach out to the artist or composers, or reach out to they management team or family if they passed away to get it cleared. Not being negative but to get things cleared in this business takes a long time especially if you don’t got the funds or underneath the label the retains the masters.
With this I rest my case, ai will not take our jobs but people will definitely legally scam with this hack to capitalize off it for a bag 💰for sure, but then if everyone doing this it’s going to either make the music business could potentially crash because no one is actually listening to the music because there’s just too much music to even keep up with it all or it just will be even more difficult for independent artist & they will be forced to sign to a label because the label will be the ones that still got the intention spans of the market & most likely artist & composers will have to be more than just being a creative & it will tie into lifestyle, personality, character, hobbies that person is into, what other skills & attributes that make them stand out from the rest that just making music or using ai 🤖.
Sometimes you can tell if someone used ai but sometimes you can’t tell at all & it will make gravitate away from the music because all of it sounds the same & this is the main reason why mostly everyone now is listening to older music made & not new releases because there’s no soul or life in the music. Long story short you can make money from it but it has its pros & cons. Me personally I think fans will desire to see behind the scenes more of actual production/composition to make sure it’s legit & once they see that they will be listening to it & respect you & desire to see you in concert because they know you real 😭, people will eventually get tired of hearing lifeless music like Sonny digital mentioned.
However, I don’t agree with Thomas about sync because they will get sued or invoiced a bill which sync hates, it’s the main reason why sync doesn’t get the A-List artist/composers because they will cost a lot for their service.
As well as Sony could be right & onto something about ai being its own genre.
MJ also mentioned them having to prove exactly how they copied the cadence, melodies, & etc, if the artist & composer copyrights the sound first & they release it, they will get sued the same way juice wrld lucid dreams got sued by sting for the sound recording & composition of the melody!
So with that being said that’s how you prove they copied, altered, corrugated, organized, or even sampling without your consent. The only down side is it might take some time to get paid from the lawsuit or maybe it will be quick but it’s subjective. However, you’ll still get your 💰!
