  • Simple and easy Crispy Sweet Corn.
    Crispy Sweet Corn ingradients:

    Step :1
    For boiling sweet corn:
    Water - 5 cups
    Sweet corn - 2 cups
    Salt - 1 tsp
    Step : 2
    For frying sweet corn:
    Corn flour - 2 tbs
    Maida flour - 1 tbs
    Salt - 1/2 tbs ( as required )
    Baking soda - pinch
    Cooking oil - 500 gms ( for frying )
    Step : 3
    For masala :
    Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
    Fried jeera powder - 1/2 tsp
    Salt - 1/4 tsp ( as required )
    Spring onion - 2 tbs (finely chopped)
    Coriander - 2 tbs (finely chopped)
    Preperation:
    - In a large bowl boil 5 cups water and 1 tsp salt.
    - add 2 cups sweet corn and boil until semi cooked(80%). (do not boil cooked fully)
    - drain off the sweet corn to remove excess water and cool the corn by pouring cool water.
    - transfer the corn into a bowl.
    - now add cornflour, maida flour, salt and baking soda.
    - mix well making sure the flour is coated well to sweet corn.
    - if any excess flour in corn mix then remove by sieving.
    - now in a kadai heat oil.
    - fry the coated corn in hot oil and keep the flame on medium.
    - gently stir occasionally, and fry on medium flame until it turns golden brown.
    - transfer the fried corn onto a kitchen tissue paper to remove excess oil.
    - transfer the fried corn into a large bowl.
    - in another bowl prepare masala by adding chat masala, chilli powder, jeera powder and salt.
    - mix well and making sure the spices are well combined.
    - now add this masala mix to fried corn.
    - also add chopped spring onion and coriander.
    - mix well to combining everything.
    Crispy Sweet Corn is ready to eat...enjoy with chopped onions and lemon.
