My favourite thing about you guys is that you've been all over the world, seen all sorts of amazing views and scenery, but you still appreciate standard British views and cloudy skies. ❤
HEY RAYA! There are wooden reusable advent calendars that could be personalized for each family member. You and Louis could fill each other's calendars with fancy candy, trinkets, event tickets, love notes, jewelry, etc and Neo's could have candy, games, puzzles, stickers, etc. Great family tradition to start next year! You guys are so creative it would be so much fun to see what you have come up with.
My only advice with my second-hand furniture, is look for bed bugs, but you might not be able to even see them. Be careful! Once there is bed bugs in a home they completely take over. ❤️ much love to you all and I hope you have a happy Christmas!
You know what I love about you guys?? That although you have this platform and I'm sure you get things sent to you for free, and I'm sure you make decent money doing what your doing, your still always just endorsing thrift finds and marketplaces. I work in childcare and I spend a lot of time sourcing materials for my centres as we are a play-based emergent childcare centre that really values the Reggio Emilia philosophies to materials. But because of my work it's made me value second hand, and different types of materials and toys for my son (who's now 3)! I appreciate how you aren't always trying to throw products at us in your vlogs unless it's trying to make life easier for those of us who maybe in similar situations (like with a newborn)! I appreciate that you don't name every brand you use. I also appreciate that you value handmade and local things. I'm sure these places you go (even thrift places) and little mom and pop shops would value your review or shout out more... then a big box store. Thank you for always being you... always being transparent and authentic. I'm so excited for your son to go on adventures with you all. Being a long time watcher of both your vlogs I really think he will be so grounded, by experiencing different ways of living, nature, and travel while being surrounded by community. Community is so so important (in whatever that looks like)!!! This was a great vlog!! Christina Hamilton, Ontario Canada
I love these vlogs so much! You guys are so chill and easy to watch. I love your thoughts on things. Your relationship is so nice to watch especially the last clip! You both seemed abit delirious and it was funny 😂 also baby Neo is such a character! Definitely going to be an explorer like his parents
I don’t know if they have something like this in England, but you should definitely look into baby sign language. At least the ASL version. It has been a game changer in my family, when teaching little ones to communicate.
I can’t get over the savings on those toys you bought. FBMP is the place to shop that’s for sure and I love wooden toys for little ones as well. The way you guys crack each other up is priceless you can just see the love or tired delirium or both 😂❤
How I give gifts: I buy throughout the year, when things specifically sing to me. But I often try to give food gifts, or art I’ve made, or framed pictures of nature I shot that year. It doesn’t work for everyone! But those I know who appreciate it feel something extra special. 😍
You really need to think about new when it comes to mattresses. In the states you can't sell a used mattress because of the fact of bedbugs! Please check whatever you get throughly! I'm right along with you when I can save a few bucks...but bedbugs is very hard to get rid of. Cost a lot of money in the states to have a professional come in and do the job. Not only do they get in beds but so many other things. I wish you the best when making your decision. ❤ you guys
Totally get it! These were used in a guest room and not slept on much, same reason we got them for. Don’t think I’d buy our main mattress second hand but these are more like a futon then a bed
I'm saving inspiration for Christmas gifts all year that I think people might like. I prefer having my shopping done EARLY! I get overstimulated shopping anyway and Christmas crowds at stores make it worse. My anxiety is much less when I have gifts wrapped as far in advanced as I can. Usually 2 weeks from Christmas at the minimum.
I appreciate you two so much & Neo is so adorable! You both are so good with him. It has been so fun watching your day to day. Thank you for all your extra effort to make it happen. What a gift ❤ Merry Christmas 🎄
The comment about embroidering the stocking reminded me so much of when my sister tried to do that for our parents and the letters just came out as big blobs but it was such a good laugh and makes for a great story when people see them
Neo is adorable bless him he was so cute with the walker oh so so cute. 🥰 I love wooden toys for children they are so much better than plastic, i always brought wooden toys for my children when they were little. Love your videos so much such a lovely family 🥰
Hints regarding getting kids to eat regular food === always serve them the same food as you eat, but take their portions out before adding much (if any) salt. Their tastebuds can be very sensitive! I was a cook at a daycare and we always served real food… not ‘kid’s’ food.
I keep my mental shopping list going all year so I can spread my shopping out over a few months. The only problem with my plan is remembering where all the gifts are stashed!
I grew up shopping at thrift stores. When I became a mother, my child also got thrift store or hand me down clothes, shoes & toys. As long as clean & wash them, they are as good as new. Our children grow so fast that most things won't be worn more than 3 months. ❤
I'm a huge vintage shopper, however I draw the line at mattresses and sheets😂 it reminds me of the Friends episode where Ross had to pretend that his sheets came from the flea market and Phoebe made fun and said stop being a cheapskate and spring for some new sheets. I think I would have just told everybody to bring a sleeping bag.. however it's your life I just hope you all have a great Christmas and enjoy this time with all your family
Great finds withnyour second hand purchases and what a more rational way to shop for babies at Christmas. I have to take the doors right off my advent calendar too. And Neo is so advanced, I think it's often the case with baby number one, my first walked comfidently independently at a day before her 9 month mark but with my second I was keen to keep him under control as long as possible! Finally had to give in to it on his first birthday when he was finally off. Same with letting them out of the pram my first was never in it but second was strapped in til he was 4! 😂
I made most of the stockings for the members of my family. I used cloth and felt in their construction. Although they do not have names on them, they are personalized by an applique. Also, I made an alphabet wall hanging for my grandson. There is a slit above each letter where you insert a small stuffed felt replica of something that starts with that letter (eg an apple for A). These little replicas can be removed and played with. Raya, you seem to be someone who could get into crafting once Neo gets a little older.
pathos so ez to grow I have one that is over 20 yrs old n started so many more for others. ours is in the pool room ( billards) n gets light all day allyear n stays constant temperature in summer it's 125+° n winter house stays in 65-75 , summer ac
I’m the same type of gift giver, Raya. I have a plan in advance then purchase close to the occasion. My wife has a knack for starting Christmas shopping in like August, so she’s always done much earlier but then procrastinates on wrapping them.
No offense, Raya but Louis looks so utterly adorable in his Christmas-y white jumper 🥰 Always do what you think is best, Lovies but I just gave all 3 of my babies little bites of whatever we were eating (within reason) and let their palates and their mouth muscles develop naturally- no need to fuss with a whole separate meal
Love the second-hand idea, especially anything utilized by kiddos - we did toys, clothes, etc. that way for our children. Ours are adolescents now and still prefer to buy stuff at thrift shops, especially clothing! PS. Love that you crack each other up...makes me laugh out loud!!!
In France many people put whatever they're eating into a food mill that turns it into baby food. Neo may be beyond this point but if not, it's something to consider. I know things cost more in Europe but those toy prices still seem high. Do you have tag/garage sales at people's homes? In the US, they're often advertised on Facebook Marketplace and the prices are really low because people just want to get rid of the stuff. Also, do people put things out on trash days? My bedroom rug, two dressers, wicker clothes basket etc. etc. were all found on the street for free. I used to keep an eye out when walking the dog. And I almost never need to shop for gifts at Christmas because I buy them during the year in the places where I travel. You've been to such wonderful places - I'm jealous!
I ant believe how much stuffmyou bring for such a short trip. If you have another i bet your idea of what you need 3ill be drwstically reduced. You guys remind me of that commercial with the mom ofnfirst baby vs second.
😂😂😂 You guys crack me up. I always plan what I want to get each person, but I wait as long as I can you buy then. The reason I have to wait, though, is because if I don't wait, I will give each person their gifts long before Christmas. Lol, I just get so excited to give the gifts.
Long time subscriber here! I just wanted to tell you guys to make sure you properly cleaned the toys before letting Neo have them! Wipe them down with white vinegar or apple cider vinegar! ALSO I am absolutely loving the new intro you guys have. Would love to see you guys do another intro once vlogmas is over!!!!! Thanks for the content. I've been proudly keeping up with you guys as well as Kara and Nate since 2020! Love you guys!
I was just thinking, it’s really nice to watch UA-camrs who aren’t crazy rich and get excited about FB marketplace just like I do 😂 I bought my bed, mattress and bedside table off there, and I’m currently searching for a dressing table.
I'm shopping all year. When I see something I know would make a great gift for someone in my family, AND it is on sale/ clearance sale, I take advantage of the savings. Buy and hide.

Of course! There’s beauty everywhere ❤️
I absolutely love that you are promoting second hand. It really is such a great way to rotate through children's toys and clothes as they grow.

I agree with the comment about the mattresses. It is one of the things I have never bought second hand because of the bed bug issue.
23:23 Louis's face is so funny when Raya said she wanted to embroider the stockings herself😀Go girl! You can do it! ❤
I love the giggles you both get at the end of the night 🎄
Love Raya’s passion for thrifting! And Neo playing with that roller made my day 😂😍
Love that Louis is like a kid with the advent calendar. Your could always use glitter glue to write the names on the stockings. Love this series.
I love these vlogs so much! You guys are so chill and easy to watch. I love your thoughts on things. Your relationship is so nice to watch especially the last clip! You both seemed abit delirious and it was funny 😂 also baby Neo is such a character! Definitely going to be an explorer like his parents
Raya's Thrift Haul Savings should become a recurring segment 😍
Oh I love Louis giving Raya a hard time about embroidering the stocking!
I don’t know if they have something like this in England, but you should definitely look into baby sign language. At least the ASL version. It has been a game changer in my family, when teaching little ones to communicate.
Sign language help develop language. It’s universal ESL
ENGLISH SIGN LANGUAGE
We also have makaton. Which is basic sign for babies and young children
@@joanneclifford82 lovely! It’s always good to learn something new every day. Thank you.
@@joanneclifford82 Yes! Makaton is sign supported language with the same syntax (word order) as the spoken language.
Thank you, another lovely video. I'm annoyingly organised, I get stressed if I'm not !!
What a bargain you had, lovely gifts for Neo.
❤

That little boy is so aware of his surroundings. And what a cutie! Nice work parents.
It's such a Mom thing to have so many things on your to do list but still think you totally have time to learn to embroider stockings 😂 I love it.
Love how spontaneous you guys are during Vlogmas. I buy second hand for my kids toys, I even start buying stuff in August😂
Seriously BEST vlogmas! 🎄

So loving sitting down to watch these in the evenings!! A good wholesome chuckle 💜☺ Got my LTA hoodie toooo! Wooop
Every awake moment is a whole new experience for baby boy!
You should get Neo Jumperoo!! All of my kids loved it
I love how you both bring out the best in each other ♥

Stockings-
You can either take them in to a shop and get a quick embroidery.
Or
Hand stitch start with Neo so at least one is done.
Definitely don't turn off your heat when you leave, that's what causes pipes to freeze and burst.

Neo is moving so well.Wow.
I always try to buy secondhand too. Embroider, so darn funny.
I really think sweet Raya would prefer to live in the country……..I agree….. where Neo would have so much running space❤❤
Louis, you had me 😂🤣we will lock things up but Neo will have no problem unlocking everything😂
We have consignment discount places here and they have big sales a few times of the year. Great things
