very good tutorial video,it showed me exactly what i needed, camera is steady and clear so i can not only see hear what your talking about,i can see it too!!.thumbs up to you and your cameraman.. on most videos on here the camera moves more than the person speaks and then they just talk about doing the repair and apparently cant seem to fix it while they are holding the camera and trying to make a talkyoutodeath video tutorial..thanx,excellent job.
Do you have a video showing how to replace a broken deck or pto engagement cable on a 2013 troybilt pony riding mower? Including something showing how to remove the broken piece (s) from the engagement handle?
Hi Chase, and thank you for the question. The extension spring actually applies tension on the deck break assembly, so the answer to your question is no. Over time, your lawn tractor's belts can become stretched, particularly if they're working continually under heavy load. This can cause them to warp slightly and become loose. If you send along your model number, we can point you in the right direction in terms of replacing your belt. I hope this has been somewhat helpful, and good luck with your repair!
I have a spring that got loose and wrapped around the right blade motor! It's not the pto cable spring so it must be the extension spring or is there another spring on the deck? Need expert advice!
I have a troy built 46'' cut motor has enough power but want go fast cuts low grass OK but tall bogs the motor and blades ,all pulleys are greased ,blades sharp but still bogs, mower only has 400 hrs on it
Hi Elizabeth and thanks for the question. The most common reason that the belt jumps off the pulley is if it is stretched or worn, or if there is damage to the pulley. If you're looking to replace your belt, send over your model number and I would be glad to help you find the right one! Thanks!
I was using my Troybilt Super Bronco 60TG when the accelerator pedal suddenly went soft and the tractor stop moving. The engine still ran but I smelled something burning probably a belt. I looked underneath and the belts seem to be in place and OK. Any ideas?

Perfectly clean mower and garage! NEVER ;-) You solved my problem. Thanks
Very well explained!
Do you have a video on how to replace the blade engagement cable on this lawnmower?
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'm riding again!

sweet lil nylon cord spring pull trick. thx for the post.
Does this spring control tension on the deck belt? My deck belt is very loose, and is routed correctly, I’ve been fighting this for 2 summers now

How do I tighten the PTO cable on my Bronco to take up slack on my belt. It keeps falling off every time I shut down.
why don't they make an adjustment for tightening the belts on the mower ?
Great demo, showed me exactly what to do - Thanks!!
we replaced the drive belt on the craftman mower and now the clutch wont stop the mower. what do I do
looking for attachment points for part no. 732-04612 on a bronco mower
great video!!!
My mower isn't as fast as it used to be. Is there an adjustment that can be made to the accelerator pedal it linkage?
Hi Michael. Could you send us the model number of your lawn mower so we can look into it for you? Thanks!
First, please explain why one would need to replace the extension spring? Is it common for the spring to wear out? Thanks.
Hi Horace, thanks for the question. These extension springs are under a lot of pressure, so yes it is relatively common for them to wear out.
you could have shown where the pto cable hooked back up to while it was out.
How does the p_t_o linkage go back together
The PTO spring seems to not be pulling tension on the belt tightner pulley. Has the cable slipped and how do I tighten it. It is a Bronco

My guess is that is could be the extension spring. I would take a look at the parts breakdown and see if you can
identify the spring you're missing.
I did what you showed and cranked the mower but the blades dont engage in on position
Write back and help me with the model number and a description of what is going on and what caused the problem.

how loose should the deck belt be when not engaged ?
You should have enough play in the belt, that you would be able to removes it with not any problem.
What cause the belt to keep jumping off once you engage

Can you please tell me how to fix these on a 2007 troy-bilt pony 42" deck. This is different tha
n my deck
That belt guard was a bear to reinstall. I had to tip the whole tractor backwards on its rear wheels to get a clear view of the attachment bolt.

My pony won't move I don't think it's the transmission I'm thinking my brakes my be stuck how can i see if that's the problem, thanks,?
