That scientist was called Kikunae Ikeda, who proposed "umami" in 1908.
If you're going to go out of your way to tell us the name of the guy who *illustrated* the tongue map, you should also tell us the name of this *scientist* .
Simply referring to Ikeda as "a Japanese scientist" is arguably whitewashing, and contributing to the erasure of people of colour in science.

I remember in my early childhood that is as often told that females don't have what we call the "Adam's apple". I have no clue where this misconception stem from considering that it it can even be visible in females.

Unless they knew the things we were learning weren’t truly the extent of the laws of this world and our body, therefore preventing us from ever learning about the proper knowledge to utilize our body and mind to the best of its ability.
