So here's some background, this basically a fake / unofficial compilation of demos that I found and put together that existed from pre No.1 Beautiful - Some of Us May Never See the World. The cover / name is taken from one of the insert pages in the No. 1 Beautiful CD. I have a feeling I Used to Have a Crush On You was from when they were a nu metal band called SWEEPS although there is conflicting info saying I Used was an actual OBW song. Laid to Waste is an OBW demo from 2001 (funny cuz the rap verse from A Lazarus Envy is found in this song). Less Talk More Rock is a demo I believe from Some of Us May Never See the World since the first verse can be found in the song Listless, but I wouldn’t be surprised either way. a rerecorded version of this song can be found on their Going Down EP called LTMR (Get it aha). I included Lovesick and My Life, Your Movie because they appear to be different versions than whats found on No. 1 Beautiful especially Lovesick. It may be concluded that Lovesick found on here is the original demo version. There are numerous other demos that are true On Broken Wings songs that existed before No. 1 Beautiful such as "Violins", "She Makes Me Want to Hit My Face Against the Wall" and "Or Maybe I Should Just Shut Up" that are from 2001 but I have never found those recordings or any other info on them. Interestingly enough two of those songs can be found in a re-recorded form on that same 2007 "Going Down" EP with slightly altered song titles which is pretty fascinating especially to see what they could sound like. Funny to see these tracks make it online aha... I luv em very glassjaw / deftones esque on some songs.
thanks for the information man, i love OBW but had no idea this existed until my friend sent it to me, ik it’s not the sound they went with in the long run but it’s still very cool to see and hear where they started, and yes those two are definitely demo versions!
I live like 20 minutes from these guys. Back in 2000(?) I played a show with them before they were OBW and I believe they gave me a demo tape named ‘Sweeps’. Shortly after they came out with ‘I Used to..’ and changed to OBW. They had a few other songs I was never able to find again. One day I’ll try to dig through my stuff at my father’s house and see if I can find that cassette tape.
This is good I hope you upload more underground nü metal like what other channels like HazsubTV, Melomano Adicto, mthntc, M1ztertimn, NB36 and the others does! 🔥🤘
I was just looking for if Lovesick had a demo because I ripped one of my dads CDs and it didn't sound like the one on Number One Beautiful + it was shorter. This is pretty cool to see when it was just uploaded a couple of months ago.

You can definitely hear the nu-metal influence from the time this was made, some moments had me thinking of Limp Bizkit, Korn and Deftones
