🇫🇷 Nice: The Blue Bay of French Riviera

When you think about Cote D'Azur it's impossible not to think about turquoise. Nice is my favorite big city on the French Riviera and I have many reasons for that.
The city of Nice hides many secrets, stories, and legends. One of the reasons you have to visit Nice is that the city has been divided between Italy and France in its recent history. This gives the city a unique cultural gift where you can taste a bit of both culture.
Being at the base of the Alps Mountains Nice is a touristic magnet all year round. You can enjoy the snow at the base of the mountains during wintertime or you can enjoy the Promenade, the views on the City Hill, or get lost in the Old City Center during summertime.
Nice is easy to navigate! French citizens enjoy the compact nature of this city, which is very walkable and easily accessible by public transportation. Having cheap fares and short travel times only enhances the experience.
Nice's airport - one of France's busiest, serving hundreds of national and international destinations every day - is just 20 minutes away by tram from the city center.
No matter what you choose, the city of Nice makes is probably the best place to start your adventure of discovering Cote D'Azur.
