- Hello everyone! Here we are again! It's my updated collection video!! At this time, I own 2,369 volumes of manga over 17 years of collecting. It has been such a fun time reading and collecting all these years, and I'm so happy to have branched out into a variety of different genres and demographics over the past two years! Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy!
Quick FAQ:
Where did you get those shelves? - The large ones were specially created for my books by a family friend! The other shelves were purchased from Amazon!
How did you get those super rare volumes?? - I have been buying manga for 17 years now. Many of the "rare" series that I own I purchased back when they were officially releasing.

I've seen three different mangatubers show their collection today and all three of them have Black Torch. A series I thought was obscure as shit. At this point I'm gonna use it as a marker to separate the weebs from the gigaweebs.
Great collection! Some of your manga are quite rare, like those two volumes by Haruhiko Mikimoto.
02:47:14 Translucent is an coming-of-age dramedy gem. It's a shame that the last two volumes haven't been translated in English (at least not as far as I know). I own volumes 1-3 and the last two in Japanese.

I’m really impressed by the Kuma (Canis, Boys of the Dead) volumes in your collection! They have such incredibly high production value for each title, not to mention their choice of titles to put out is tops. I wish more manga collectors knew about this imprint.
It's a great imprint and has some of the best prints (In terms of paper quality) in all of current English manga releases! Definitely agree that more people should check out the manga printed from them

I got my first anime manga book spy x family volume 2 for Easter this year my mom got it for me
With D.Gray-Man it’s definitely worth it to continue reading, the twist and turns that are currently unfolding are mind blowing and the art gets so great! My favorite series by far

I'm glad to see love for Kekkaishi and Muhyo and Roji! Kekkaishi was my first manga in 2008. And I'm reading Muhyo and Roji now. I'm on volume 10 now and still enjoying it.

Its so awesome seeing someone collecting Claymore!! I was so excited when i saw it on the shelf!! Its such an underrated series in terms of collecting. I grew up with Claymore, it was the first anime i ever watched by myself. I remember the first time i ever watched it, and i got so hooked on it that to this day i am able to quote the entire show without even looking at the screen! I even have the intro and outro completely memorized. Definitely a nostalgia series for me, i will forever say all great things and constantly recommend it to everyone

What do you mean when you said only collect in order, and don’t like to buy out of order.
So let's say it's a 27 volume series and I have volumes 1-16, I won't typically buy volume 18 on until I've bought volume 17
@@ThatMangaDude thanks for clarifying, I was thinking who would read manga and skip an issue here and there and read a later issue out of order. Now I got the picture, some people collect them out of order without reading them with the intention getting all issues in the future, Then it’s a revolving door of issues you can’t read because they’re not in order.

I'm jealous you have Full Moon volumes 1 and 2. I've been looking for those forever and a day and it sucks that it is so hard to fine. Also my favorite mangaka is Yú Watase hands down. I love her so much. She wrote Fushigi Yugi, Ceres: Celestial Legend, Alice19th, Absolute Boyfriend among many others.
Yeahhh Full Moon has been very hard to find 😭😭lucky I was able to find what I have. And ooh yeah I’ve heard of her! I was thinking of checking out Absolute Boyfriend 👀👀
@@ThatMangaDude Yeah i wish it was easier to find. I have read a lot of Yu Watase's works and my favorite is definitely Alice19th personally. It is only seven volumes so not a big commitment and seems to be one of the easier ones of her works to find even though im pretty sure it is out of print

You actually know how to collect. I didn't really have 4 hours to comprehensively check, but I didn't see Akira, Gundam, The Origin, or Devilman. Very odd you are missing the three most impotant pieces of manga canon, but you have nearly everything else printed in English, so maybe I just missed them! Or they are on the fiancé shelf. It's very disappointing watching all these collectors pick up random romance manga that have no impact on the cultural canon and thinking they represent the culture. Also didn't see ALL of the Ghost in the Shell manga. Should correct that immediately.
