Agreed. I worked in vol desk in banks and hedge fund before. I’m not a trader myself but I have seen a lot of traders despite they r pro but are losing money in vol. Not many seasoned vol traders can make money consistently. But they usually look at arb opportunities in vol curves

補充一下：
以美股計，一張期權等於100股
港股就唔同股票有唔同股數
根據例子Nvidia $100 long call option 用$1買呢個option就係用$100買
當佢升到$120賣左佢會有 $10 -$1 再x100= $900 profit
當你唔賣要行使權力你就要用$11000買100股
另外虧損比較多係Short put
時間 波動率 thera 好多因素影響 有時正股就算向你睇中既方向岩都好，力度唔夠大都有機會令你賺唔到錢
正股買賣係一維 升跌
期權係3維 升跌 波動 時間
真係要玩期權建議至少玩3年模擬交易先好正式入市
最少要經歷過風高浪急 被call margin要補倉 先好正式入市
同埋建議做好資產管理， 要玩都用5-10%資金玩好
唔識玩同賭沒分別，賭大細賭中方向都贏，期權賭中方向就未必贏

理論上就係實際上要睇埋波動率，好似mstr雖然拒下跌但波動率由高變低25年1月17日200蚊sp合約價都係下跌，而合約如果經過重要日子如財報或者同版塊公司財報或者有重要時件例如總統大選波動率都會出現不正常波動，摩根大通同常會做3個月價外sc，因為加上期權金剛好可以穩定提升1升多收益率

Timing 唔準，磨theta 磨死你，仲有跌iv足夠死，更加唔好講in /out money。
我記得金融政變果年long strangle，現貨HSI無理頭飛上28000，即月期貨day high 27999，即月未日PUT因為IV爆升於HSI升2000點都有得賺住走；LONG CALL 升5-10倍。問題係你time 得中囉。
