It took me 5 years traveling every holiday I had in school to go see him to Tunisia; after 4 years of being friends, got married and I only saw him on vacations. It wasn’t up to me or him, it was up to the American government to issue his visa. Finally, the day arrived February 1, 2022, he came home to New Orleans, Louisiana. What did I do, to keep myself mentally sane? BUSY! I am a teacher, I have a big house (with big gardens)… I kept my house inside and out TIDY, made renovations, created a herbal garden, painted, kept my closets updated, served my community, prayed…I didn’t have the time to get bored or missing him! Of course,I missed him but we knew, we will be together! And remember the American Embassy in Tunis, made the impossible, for him not to come (his own people)hahahaha…. I just explained you my routine established in those kinds of relationships. Vuyo, you are young and can come up with something creative to fulfill that emptiness. How about creating an online business of any kind? Start with something, and you will see. Good luck to you in this endeavor❤️

A relationship is NEVER too long if you really love and committed yourself to another. My husband and I were 22 hours apart. Ours was an interracial relationship too. He was Scottish. We talked almost every night, even if was just to touch base. We finally married and I moved where he lived. We had 27 wonderful years together and a daughter. I lost him in 6 months to a brain tumor. All these years later he is always on my mind and in heart. He was the love of ny life. You don’t stop loving because one no longer is alive. I miss him, I still love him.

I know how you feel. Me and my now husband dated long distance for 3 years and that third year for me was so hard and distressing to my heart. But it was so worth it. The last visit he made to me we decided that I would move where he lived and find work there. I did and ended up working with him and we married 4 months later after my arrival. Now it has been 25 years and we have always work together. And there have been hardships but we had been through the hardest before with the distance that when they come we weather and are very happy.

But it was so worth it. The last visit he made to me we decided that I would move where he lived and find work there. I did and ended up working with him and we married 4 months later after my arrival.
