- Using the campground map to show you the sites with best views, camp permits and shuttle bus location, we give you a hopefully comprehensive guide to Tunnel Mountain Village II. And, importantly, where you can get your groceries to stock up your RVs! We were here end October 2019 where only zone B was opened for the season.
This Banff National Park campground is opened all year round and located within 5 km of the town of Banff.

THANKFUL FOR BEING ALIVE
We met each other through our travels, got married, and now share a common desire to discover and leave our footprints across all that God has created.
Traveling for experience, not comfort, we are weirdly and similarly wired to choose the rough way - sleeping through the four seasons in vans rather than hotels: brushing teeth, taking various extent of bath (including none at all) against backdrops of mountains and valleys; hiking till our legs scream; trudging and panting through the ice and heat.
In the process of this self-inflicted roughness, when we treat ourselves to hotels, business class seats and lounges through our travel hacking strategies, we relish our temporary fancy statuses with a harmless, just-for-tickle sense of self-entitlement.
All of these we enjoy capturing them in videos, as a creative outlet, to tell a story, to relive, and to inspire. And to be thankful for simply being alive.
Excellent.. thankyou
this was the BEST VIDEO EVER... WHOEVER you are, I need to tell you this brought tears to my eyes. I spent 1+ digging thru reddit just to figure out what to do in Banff and this video told me everything I need to know. this is going to be so, so much fun.

My pleasure, always glad to know that someone out there finds it useful :)
Thank you! This was very helpful in helping to choose a campsite.
We’ve traveled to Banff, from New York, for the past 10 years.. We have stayed in various hotel properties on Tunnel Mountain, and drove by this site regularly.. The public transit is top notch, plan to buy a trailer and do full time rving, for a few years, when we retire. This will definitely be one of our stops. Viva la Banff!

Can you use water in the RV in October?
Hi, lovely video ❤️ I was wondering if there were any sort of cabins on this campground too? As for people who would like to visit but don’t have an RV ?
Thanks! And yes, there are. You can see them in the background of this video where the shuttle bus stop is at.
