Hi Manjula, once the alginate has been removed from the plaster cast, the plaster cast needs to dry out thoroughly before it can be painted. This can take 5 to 14 days, depending on the warmth of where the cast are being kept, how big they are etc. Once they are thoroughly dry, then they can be painted. You can leave them unpainted if you wish, but best to paint them to seal and preserve the plaster. So to answer your question, you can wait over 15 days, 1 month, a few years even before painting them! And yes, the casts will look great, they are amazing!
