No hiking or sleeping in a tiny tent! This time I brought all the glamping kit and just chilled out with some beers, a comedy on Netflix and watched the day turn into night.
The rain was on and off all day but not too heavy...I like sleeping in the tent with a bit of rain.
I hope you enjoy!

Frank I like how Digger is treated like a family member...and its nice to see how close you and Digger are and spoiled dogs , family pets have to be spoiled
His feet are well and truly under the table! Lol.
Wow nice place . I love doing camping too. You have a good editing skills. Love it from philippines❤❤
G'day from Oz! Thank you for your kind words, its very encouraging to read comments like that. When I first started this channel, I thought editing would be a chore, but I actually enjoy it. I imagined filming would be the creative aspect for me, but its all in the editing.
Thank you!
Que padreeeee,y que perrito tan inteligente nueva suscriptora saludos desde Veracruz, México,y guapo señor.🤗🤗🤗😚😚
Hola, Cintia, Thank you for the sub! Its great to connect with people from all around the world 👍
Marvelous camp setup. Like the kitchen, over-the-top! Figure you set up 2 chairs so Jesus had a seat at your table. Ha. I would set one for my dog, too. But she will only sit on chairs when I am not home.
Thank you, Scott, The kitchen is my favourite part of the camp set up, I love cooking in the wild...and eating! 😃
5:33 - best moment :)
its often the simplest things that make the difference. Cheers!
Another great clip ! And very relaxing in the rain in the forest. Digger looks as though he loves the camping as well. It would be great to see some animals on the trail cam one time
Cheers, Peter! yeah, I'll keep persisting with the trail cam. I think Diggers scent is the problem...I know how they feel! Lol. I'll set the cam further away from camp next time.
Привет . Пока смотрела , тоже захотелось на природу в дождь .😄
Hi, Inga, I hope I've inspired you to get out there!...it's good for the soul! 😀
@@4X4CA к большому сожалению , у нас ещё прохладно .😞
I'm not keen on camping when its too cold but there are some who love it.
@@4X4CA где я живу , большее время года холодно . 😄 Ждём тепла , но его так мало .😞
Beautiful trip. Wish it was longer. Really liking your setup. Planning selling my small camper and getting the shelter and that tent. Really simple and comfy. Add an awning to my Ranger cap ute also. Get better mpg and get into smaller places. The brekkie with digger was very nice . Thanks Frank & Digger.
Thanks, Kenn, Thats funny, I'd like to change my set up to a camper trailer! I have my eye on a Jayco Jpod but they're serious coin. My set up will do until Jayco would like to sponsor me! 😜 I'm really happy with my current set up, its an evolution of much trial and error but with the frequency I go camping now, I'd like to just pull up in a small, sub one ton, hard wall camper, will an inner spring mattress, have zero set up and be insulated from wind noise, heat and the cold. As you say, I would lose MPG and the ability to access some tight spots but for me, at this stage of my camping life, its a fair trade off.
Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions about my set up 👍

After a half-century of make-do camping in lesser rigs, in 2003, we built our ExpeditionVehicle.
We trade some mobility for pulling up, shutting off the key, cooking either on our permanent porch or inside, shower, and crawl into bed.
.
I turn 71 in a few weeks.
Camping is supposed to be relaxing.
I agree, its about being out there...my days of roughing it are well and truly over. Once I've had a camper trailer for a few years I'll be looking for an RV or Van. Setting up and packing up is just a means to an end. Rolling up and just getting into a spring bed or cooking inside when the weather is bad suits me!
@@4X4CA Jpod looks nice . Not available in US.? Have an Intech explore trailer. Can you convert cargo trailers to camp in ? We camp in state or private parks mostly.
I know there is a brand called Jayco in the US but I don't recognise any of their models, maybe they just share a name. I have thought about converting a cargo trailer but I need/want something rugged that can handle rough, steep tracks and the beach. I would need to spend serious coin on quality suspension, full length, heavy duty A-frame etc by the time I buy all the parts I would be close to buying one off the shelf
nice video💯💯
Thank you!
Nice set up.
Thanks, its evolved over time to where I'm happy with it but as you know, we always need that next bit of kit! Lol
@@4X4CA Amen to that. God Bless
Great video and thanks for sharing.👏👏I have tried to source the lights in the tent ( where you can dimmer the lights and colour) Do you recall where you purchased them?? Thanks again for sharing and editing it 👏👏👍
No worries! Here's a list of all my lights.
1. the round, hanging light I use above the bed is from Zempire, they are sold everywhere, I got mine form BCF
2. the black LED 'lantern' I got from ebay
3. those little green and black iphone shaped lights are from Bunnings
4. LED strip light in the door of the kitchen that changes colour and is controlled by an app on my phone is from ebay
These 2 r wonderful ! Love the set up as always n love the music. The only thing I resent abt Digger being so spoiled is the fact that ALL children n ALL animals r not treated as tender n loving.
👍🙏❤️🐾
Glad your enjoying the videos, TJ 👍
I just got back from another trip, I'll upload on Sunday night
that was very relaxing mate but you know the rules - if no fire you no camping..........hahahhhhhhahah 🤣 also no dinner???, hmmmmm maybe ya should have got pizza delivery - not much beats 🍕🍕 and a 🍷wine on a rainy afternoon, Cheers 👍👍
Lol, yeah, I hear ya mate. I struggled through that trip, I had a chest infection, so couldn't get up to much. I've never ordered pizza while camping! lol I'll be heading out again in a few days 👍
Another wonderful video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Jill 👍
Its wonderful video 👍

...its always the chair! 😂
Nice post. I was hoping for some real downpours, but very much enjoyed viewing regardless. So, I subscribed and will check out the archive! Cheers.
Hi, Rick, thank you for the Sub! You were hoping I'd get soaked?? Lol, the rain in video #6 is heavier. I just got back from another trip, so I should have that uploaded by Sunday night. But, you might not like it, it was a beautiful summer day camp in the shade of the foresrt 👍
@@4X4CA Thanks! Will check them all out. ;)
@@rickkearn7100 Cheers, Rick!
Great video again Frank, what camera are you using as the video quality showing on my 4K TV is exceptional, some of the best I’ve seen.
Thanks, Phil, I use a gopro 11 set to 4K 60fps. I'd like to upgrade to a DSLR as there are things I can't do with the gopro but its a great little, robust camera that will always be part of my kit.
Great stuff buddy, I gotta get out more in the wetter days, not many people around & listening to the rain on the roof 👍🏿
Thanks!, yeah, mate, the last couple of trips I've done in the rain, I've been lucky. if it had been windy, it would have been a miserable camp. Even those times when it rained hard, it just came straight down and didn't blow under the gazebo. If your in thick bush the wind is minimal but out in the open would be rough night, tent flapping and keeping me awake. But, some gentle rain on the tent while having an afternoon nana nap is very relaxing 👌
Very nice! Like the trail cam idea. What night wildlife might we see in your neck of the woods?
Hi, David, I'm yet to capture anything on the trail cam...I think Diggers scent maybe keeping them away. Many times in the past (before Digger would join me) I often heard animals moving around camp at night, most likely Possums, Brush Turkeys and Kangaroos but it would be nice to capture something a little more rare like a Wombat, Koala or Bandicoot. I was hoping to have the campsite in the shot but I might have to start setting it up further out...I'll keep trying.
14:53 - Bon appétit!
For a long time I made omelettes the American/English way but never liked the darkened, crispy parts...it tastes bitter. the French style is much smoother and creamier. sometimes I add a little creme fraiche for extra richness. Bon ap'👌
Sixteen minutes of bliss... except for the previews of the next Vin Diesel race/explosions with screaming threats and family drama and helicopter crashes...
... and except for the WorldWideWeb casino commercials.
I honestly truly believe algos are clueless.
Lol, I hear you! but its the nature of the beast...without ads, there would be no YT.
Hello. You have a great video. I watch every video of yours and dream of someday driving like that too. Now it's on a bike. I would like more colors in your videos, so that it would be cool to watch on a big TV. Take a closer look at the circulation of ZV-E10 or some other similar one.
Hi, thanks for watching, glad you enjoy the videos. I hear you about the colour. I'm new to filming and only have a Gopro atm but I know there is a thing called 'Colour Grading' which I should start to learn, I think that would improve the colour somewhat...it will be awhile before I can upgrade to something like the ZV.
Please keep the constructive criticism coming, its helpful and I'm always eager to learn 👍
The Sony EV-10 has been discontinued due to a chip shortage I just read. I didn’t know the GoPro could produce this quality video. For better colours and contrast you need to film in HDR (High Dynamic Range). If you post 4K HDR below your video titles it could attract more viewers.
funny I just saw a new channel NATV4x4 where he has a similar vehicle to yours, an Oz Tent and a German shepherd
@@crumble701 Hey, Phil, I'm still learning about all things to do with camera settings, filming, editing and youtube settings. I have noticed that when I watch YT on my TV it shows if the video is in 4K but the same video on my laptop or Ipad doesn't show the 4K icon??
@@crumble701 imitation is flattery! 😀 Lol
Muito show! Mas acho a já rodou esse vídeo..
What do you mean "its already been shot" this is a new video that was uploaded yesterday. (it does feature in my Playlist, like all my videos)
What do you think of the chairs ,? i got moon chairs but big to pack away. and thank you for the VDo.
Hi, I like them a lot. They are comfy and recline to horizontal. (there are locks on the underside of the arm-rests to fix the recliner into whatever angle you want. The adjustable built in pillow allows for perfect placement...Ive fallen asleep in them while reclined a few times. They are quite rugged too and if the tough, elastic rope does break, its easy to replace with just para cord until I can get to the shop for elastic cord. when folded they are not that much bigger than a directors chair. but way more comfortable. I got them from BCF on special for $99 each, a little expensive for a camping chair but should last a long time.
I hope this helps,
Shout out if you have any other questions 👍
Frank

@@largemarge1603 Its big business these days, When I was a lad, all we had were army disposal stores, then the big brands started getting in on the action. 'Grey Nomads' is a big market here in Oz...I imagine in the US too!
I see" Digger " refers to military members?
its an old name going back to early European settlement of Australia for those who would dig during the gold rush, it was then used for Australian/New Zealand soldiers during the world wars for their trench digging, today it is only used to refer to soldiers, both those who served during the world wars and those serving today.
@@4X4CA I picture Digger as a Corporal or a Sergeant . Learned of the Great Sacrifices they made in WWl and WW2 during a recent trip to AU and NZ.
