How do you know what most people think? Where I live most people couldn't care less about the royal family. I also don't see how that person had a bad attitude. They actually made a fair point, Kate didn't really do anything after university except wait for William to propose. Yet every royal enthusiast claims that Kate is such a good role model to young girls, when in reality all she really does is sit there, look pretty and follow whatever the royal family tells her to do. With the influence Kate has, she could bring light to a lot of social issues and introduce change but instead she just wears fancy headpieces follows William around.

Queen Deebs, you're thinking of The University of St Andrews is Scotland. The school Kate visited here to do this speech was St Andrew's prep school in Pangbourne, Berkshire.

Her mother Carole had more than likely pushed Kate into St. Andrew's, in the hope she might meet William. She was already accepted to Edinburgh university and was due to enrol in 2000. Edinburgh was always her first choice, ever since she was at Marlborough college. When news of William's choice of Uni became public knowledge, she ditched Edinburgh, took a gap year, went to Italy, then took part in the same ten-week excursion with the Raleigh International Programme in Chile for a charity expedition, just weeks after William. She then reapplied to St Andrew's in 2001. She took a gap year, so she and William would be undergraduate students at the same time. She had to plan it well because there was an increase in applications to St Andrew's - female students were flocking there, in the hopes of meeting William!
She is doing very well, I think. She just needs to get the flow going a bit more and not take brakes in the middle of sentences. But well done, with all those expectations!! :)
