Clue Club - Dottie being the Best Meddling Kid for 17 Minutes

- Опубліковано 2 сер 2021
- Before I get back onto my fascination with reviewing Scooby-Doo content on this channel, I thought I'd do a little compilation video for one of the characters associated with Scooby's many lookalikes. Her name is Dottie, and she's the youngest member of the Clue Club, which is good because she acts as the collective brain for all of them.
Honestly, I forgot this show existed until I picked up the DVD for it, and I enjoyed binging the entire series in one sitting. I know a lot of people probably just remember it as another Scooby ripoff, but I like these characters a lot, including the token "Velma" archetype of the gang. - Фільми й анімація
Dottie is the only one who gets mentioned in the theme song.
That tells you that she is obviously the most important member of the team.
I wish they make a movie out of this.
Clue Club. Like Dottie as the main Protagonist.
Dottie is one of animation's few crime scene investigators. She was a CSI before CSI:!
"Hey Sis, I hope Mom saved your old braces!" Quick, get Pepper to a hospital, because Dottie just gave her one SICK BURN.
It's funny that Larry called Dotty "Half-Pint" considering that in the fall of 1976 when these episodes originally aired, Little House on the Prairie was probably one of the biggest shows on television at the time.
Dottie needs to join forces with Penny from Inspector Gadget .
MAD wouldn't have a chance.
You think so?
Growing up, it was always bout Woofer and Whimper
Really I thought it lasted from 1976 to 1979
I’ve literally discovered this today!!! It’s certainly one of the better Scooby clones! Dottie is a younger Velma who gets left behind on mystery’s, while the Shaggy clone (the kid with glasses) goes off with Fred clone and Daphne clone
Actually, it was switched in this show. D.D. (the Shaggy clone paired off with Pepper (the Daphne clone) when solving mysteries, while Larry (the Fred clone) went with the dogs. Whimper and Woofer.
only started watching the series and i have to say, I like Dottie, compared to some tag-a-long kids say Scott Tracker from M.A.S.K., Dottie is a vital contribution to the team and just wants to be in the field more
Glad you're getting into the series! I think the fact that Dottie's so much of a genius at her age is the reason why the creators of the show had her stay at home. If she was on actual cases with the rest of the Clue Club, she'd probably singlehandedly have the mystery solved in half the time!
imagine the danger she could be in if the bad guys realize she could prove them guilty and she's out in the field
@@joecrammond6221 Exactly! Remember how a bunch of Scooby-Doo's villains made a whole club for themselves in the second live action movie? All of them had major grudges against Mystery Inc., so Larry is actually protecting Dottie in case any of the Clue Club's villains wanna get revenge, and remember their faces.
@@SketcherReal - That tells you the incompetence of Hanna-Barbera and why a lot of people consider them overrated (like Mega Man X4) if they can't think of a SMARTER way to write Dottie without making the two main characters (Larry and Pepper) complete assholes towards her!
@@SketcherReal - The fact Larry and Pepper call Dottie "teaseful" names still makes them assholes in my book!
16:43 not me thinking that's her recycling run cycle
Love Woofer and Whimper ❤🐕 🐶
It's so clear HOW
15:27 is my fave part. Where Woofer stomps towards Whimper . XD
This is is the longest running episode I've seen on UA-cam in over a decade
What
They never let Dottie on any of thr solving the mysteries due to being "too young". She's always working behind the scenes.
What they need is an updated cartoon, where Abbey from NCIS shows up and hangs out with Dottie.
Dottie really stuck her foot in her mouth that time 🤣
9:29 Pepper wears that same sweater in every episode🤣
Like how isn't she hot. Place doesn't rlly look cold
This is almost like Scooby-Doo & Mystery Inc., if they were secret agents.
If Scooby-Doo Team-Up lasted longer, they would appear in it.
I know this is off-topic, but I liked that Larry wore Adidas shoes and khaki or chino pants! I imagine that's how some teenage boys dressed back in 1976. I'm getting the sense that the costume designers for the movie Dazed and Confused were not too far off on teen fashion in 1976!
i like pepper and dotties outfit
What about pepper sweater and her jeans and boots
8:50, I was starting to hear Alittle bit of Scooby-Doo music in the video.
"She only has a computer to play chess with" I see it differently. The computer's the only one who can compete on her level of chess mastery.
0:00, You must've found a much clearer version of the Clue Club intro.
Cool.
It's a clean rip from the Clue Club DVD, that's why.
@@SketcherReal That explains it
Yes, thank the makers for the DVD. If only Fangface and The New Shmoo would get a DVD release, the universe will be correct.
@@JuraiEmperor Same with the rest of Laff-a-Lympics, Dynomutt Dog Wonder, Be Cool Scooby-Doo and Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue.
@@thefantasticretroreviewer3941 oh, how depressing, I didn’t even realize I was missing those last two Dynomutt episodes. Well, hopefully they’ll get something out!
Scooby-Doo and Guess Who in:
A Ghoul Without a Clue!
Featuring: The Clue Club Group
Daphne: Jeepers, its The Clue Club Group!
Honestly, with how controversial the Funky Phantom episode was, I'd HATE to see Mystery Inc. arguing with the Clue Club in the same way, y'know?
@@SketcherReal Well, they didn't argue with alot of other Hanna-Barbera Mystery Solvers before.
Scooby and the Gang got along with Speed-Buggy & Josie and the Pussycats before in The New Scooby-Doo Movies.
Plus, both Mystery Inc. and The Funky Phantom crew were able to stop arguing, work together and learn a lesson about teamwork while solving a Mystery (thanks to Mudsy impersonation Abe Lincoln).
They were already starting to be aware about that when they almost got the mystery solved.
Just pointing that out.
@@thefantasticretroreviewer3941 That's the thing, Fred's gang got along fine with their counterparts during the original New Scooby-Doo Movies series, I already know that much.
The fact that they butted heads with the Funky Phantom crew for the majority of their episode in this new incarnation was jarring to me, and a lot of other people who watched it. Shaggy and Scooby even thought Speed Buggy was laughable in a lame way during his quick cameo, so I'd be scared to see their reactions to the Clue Club in "Guess Who?" specifically.
@@SketcherReal Even though I'm to stubborn to admit everything you said, I guess you do have a good point about that.
Lol
She would have very meddling if she would have been a member of the Scooby gang.

@@user-wi6sh6vh8u It depends on what he's doing
Whimper and woofer were my favorite always..
Doesn’t Dottie look like Penny from The Rescuers?
I wish this show lasted alittle longer or something.
It did, in a way: when rerun as part of Skatebirds and later in The Three Robonic Stooges spin-off, the 16 episodes of this series were re-edited into six-minute episodes featuring only scenes with Woofer and Whimper, and for the occasion became Woofer and Whimper: Dog Detectives.
@@ClassicTVMan1981X I'm somewhat already aware of that before
Yea and have more chase sence
@@scoobyblox2539 I agree.
Some say its better than the other Scooby-Doo Clones
Forensic Files needs this Girl!
Dottie doesn't look 13. She'd be passed off as a 10 year old (give or take a few years).
Must be one of the uncommon late bloomers, I guess.
That's what I also think that she's only 10. Things change and look significantly different in three years between a 10- and 13-year-olds.
She looks 12 and sounds like a 9 year old
funnily enough Dottie's actress was around 11
The girl with pig tails is Cute
She should see the Whats new scooby doo show shows
Today I learned the sad news of the passing of Nichelle Nichols, Lt. Uhura of _Star Trek._ What does that have to do with this video? Well, Uhura and Dottie were my first two TV crushes. News of one got me to thinking of the other.
I had no idea she was supposed to be thirteen. I thought she was my age: nine or ten.
It's always sad to find out that a celebrity you enjoyed passed away, and I'm sorry you're going through it.
At the very least, Dottie's voice actress, Tara Talboy, is still alive and well to this day, so hopefully you can take comfort with that news. :)
@@SketcherReal
Cool. And thanks.
At least now we can hope that one of these days, Warner Bros will release an animated theatrical movie version of the series for theatre screens, which includes a wedding for Larry and Pepper.
The computer probably said, "How about a nice game of chess?"
lol
Why didn't they appear in that SDMI episode called "Mystery Solvers Club State Finals", along with Dynomutt & Blue-Falcon, Goober & The Ghost Chasers, Hong Kong Phooey and The Amazing Chan & The Chan Clan or appear in later episodes of that show??
I would've love to see how they would fit into the show.
Well, I can still dream it can happen in the future of Scooby-Dooby-Doo or something!
mabye they didnt want all ofthem
@@nsthetics7188 Well, I can still dream it.
That would kinda be very stupid. No offense. You can't put aaaaaalllll of the scooby Doo clones there. It wouldn't make sense and it would be hard to animate
@@scoobyblox2539 Well, doing it as a 2 Part adventure would probably make things easier........maybe
6:21, Now that was funny
My favorite. Cartoon in my existence
I’m sorry , while Dottie is an awesome character in this cartoon , Wimper is my favorite. Both dogs are awesome , but Wimper just tells it like it is. Some of the things he says just leaves me in tears from laughing so much. I wish they had made more than one 16 episode season. This cartoon was better than Scooby Doo in my opinion. Same company ,but different characters. But much better in my opinion.
👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
15:57 to 16:40, That is the same music score from The Funky Phantom.
Some episodes also had music score from Devlin. In particular the episode where the CC gang are at a circus.
@@ClassicTVMan1981X I never saw Devlin before at all.
Larry is a cousin to the Devlin family, and I think that I can easily see Ernie Devlin as his Bestman with Ernie’s wife (maiden name of Suzie Chan) being Matron-Of-Honor for Pepper?

Since Warner Brothers became part of Hanna-Barbara it has become harder because they're very strict with copyright issues.
