the differences between the vibes of YG, JYP and SM groups are so glaring in this video man! you can so clearly tell the type of unique and specific vibes each company's groups have, they are all so different and yet its a necessary and needed diversity!
@@annebanga5832 YG girl groups have more of a fierce and charismatic hip-hop influence and girl crush vibe, JYP girl groups are more pop-y and cutesy, with a "girl power" kindof vibe, and SM girl groups each have their own unique experimental-ish vibe thats hard to explain and yet you can tell that theyre all from the same company! these descriptions are of course my own opinions, and its hard to put them out in words but after listening to songs from all 3 of the Big 3 companies for many many years, its very easy to differentiate which group is from which company cos all of them have very unique YG vibes, JYP vibes and SM vibes! they are all very different, but i feel like these differences are very much appreciated cos since theyve managed to find their own styles of music and set themselves apart from each other, it keeps kpop fresh and exciting for us listeners!

2NE1 songs are distinct from each other . They've touch so many genre's . Teddy really did a great job working with 2NE1 in his most creative years . No wonder why Billboard named him one of the top producers of 21st century and naming I AM THE BEST as his representative song which relates to his works in kpop . He's simply the best.

The way 2NE1 made it in all rankings until 2014. SNSD also dominating the charts until 2015. But I still love how a group's ability and how groups are judged on how good they are weren't based on mv views on UA-cam, stans actually cared about the songs and keep rewatching mvs because they loved the song. Not because they want to get "most viewed kpop mv in 24hrs" or "fastest kpop mv to reach x views" stans now just keep streaming and streaming the mv on UA-cam even when they're not paying attention

I just love how BlackPink tops the views WAAAAY UP THERE year after year every time they have a comeback, plus, being real good at what they do at the same time. Two birds in one stone. All of their songs are even on my car's playlist. I just looove this group. They are sooo good at what they do that signature brands even hire them as ambassadors. And uhmmm Coachella, helloooo! Haahahaha! To top it off, United Nations even appointed them as advocates for Sustainable Development Goals. WOW!

BlackPink and Twice have been setting the bar very high for 5+ years now. They changed the game. Brought in a new sound damn!!!!! The way Red Velvet has changed its sound to suit the evolution of k-pop is absolutely amazing. Bboom bboom by Momoland always makes me smile. I am happy to see it here. The fact that I can sing Fancy and do the whole choreography to it almost perfectly amazes me because I never formally learnt it. btw that's my most favourite kpop song.Blackpink topping the charts makes scream in glee(it the first group I heard when fell in love with kpop). The golden era of Kpop was 2007 - 2017. So much originality and so many bops in a decade! Glad to say I started listening to Kpop at the start of the 2nd generation boom and sad that their time has passed 😢New Kpop fans will never know the frustration of waiting for a group to come out of hiatus and discussing it on our favorite Kpop forums.
nah i feel the majority of kpop was too cutesy tootsey back then and quite cringe (girl groups), bigbang were fire though and are the kings of kpop. but girl groups are way better now. songs like first - everglow, next level - aespa and hylt - blackpink bring the fire and attitude!
Respect to the old groups because UA-cam is not that big as what we see today, but they managed to overcome that as we can see how popular they are back then.
2NE1's disbandment hit me hard along with adulthood that I stopped fangirling for a while until Blackpink's in your area. :) Though watching your video has made me realized how I have missed so many other powerful and talented girls. Thanks for the video!
2016-2017 only Blackpink and Twice. It's incredible to see BP and Twice consistently on the top 5 for consecutive 5years. I also had a huge respect to the 2nd gen especially SNSD,2Ne1, and Sistar. It's kinda nostalgic to see them again
All groups are legends... it's so amazing to see that how Blackpink and twice are dominating since their debut with 1st and 2nd position always ... And in 2021, 1 Blackpink comeback and the list will be changed ... 🙃
@@usagimelo it is pretty widely accepted by the kpop world (although not confirmed by their company) that their debut was rushed in order to cover up scandals that were happening with the other groups in their company( Jessica leaving SNSD, Exo M lawsuits, etc.) Evidence: the quality of their debut music video is obviously low quality( cheap quickly put together sets, most of it is CGI, not consistently edited in post production, compared to other MVs the low quality is especially noticeable) This also explains why Yeri was added about 9 months later( they were supposed to debut as 5 but promotions had to be pushed sooner and she was too young to debut) People were also hating on Red Velvet from the start because they were taking away attention from F(x) and people immediately suspected they were meant to be a distraction so people did not take them seriously. If they had been given the promotion they deserve they could have avoided a lot of hate and been more successful from the beginning instead of it taking so long( considering Yeri is still the most disliked member of Red Velvet to this day).

I love that every 2ne1 songs are unique and yet all sounds amazing, if they haven't disbanded they'd be on their way to pioneer the kpop global phenomenon, their last album charted in billboard and the highest charting kpop album at that time. Its been 5 years and I'm still bitter that YG literally wasted this iconic group.

MissA was the first KPop group that actually got me listening to and watching the genre. I've always preferred the heavier or more experimental Kpop groups than the sweet candy groups.
Don't worry, the views are from today, not from the year of the actual release. Nostalgia hits differently. I remember listening to a song from my favorite artist in 2014, the views were around 60 million that year. Now it's around 500 million.

But I still love how a group's ability and how groups are judged on how good they are weren't based on mv views on UA-cam, stans actually cared about the songs and keep rewatching mvs because they loved the song. Not because they want to get "most viewed kpop mv in 24hrs" or "fastest kpop mv to reach x views" stans now just keep streaming and streaming the mv on UA-cam even when they're not paying attention
It's not like we're doing anything wrong..Just let us atleast do that

The way Red Velvet has changed its sound to suit the evolution of k-pop is absolutely amazing. Bboom bboom by Momoland always makes me smile. I am happy to see it here. The fact that I can sing Fancy and do the whole choreography to it almost perfectly amazes me because I never formally learnt it. btw that's my most favourite kpop song.Blackpink topping the charts makes scream in glee(it the first group I heard when fell in love with kpop). Big shout out to the video creator. The amount of research this must have taken is a hefty lot. Very nicely done.

@@usagimelo it is pretty widely accepted by the kpop world (although not confirmed by their company) that their debut was rushed in order to cover up scandals that were happening with the other groups in their company( Jessica leaving SNSD, Exo M lawsuits, etc.)
Evidence: the quality of their debut music video is obviously low quality( cheap quickly put together sets, most of it is CGI, not consistently edited in post production, compared to other MVs the low quality is especially noticeable)
This also explains why Yeri was added about 9 months later( they were supposed to debut as 5 but promotions had to be pushed sooner and she was too young to debut)
People were also hating on Red Velvet from the start because they were taking away attention from F(x) and people immediately suspected they were meant to be a distraction so people did not take them seriously.
If they had been given the promotion they deserve they could have avoided a lot of hate and been more successful from the beginning instead of it taking so long( considering Yeri is still the most disliked member of Red Velvet to this day).
