I can't believe we made it alive from the lighthouse. Thank you StoicFM (ua-cam.com/channels/q3OGei4Ke27Lk6k6_5xEmA.html) for the house tour and Pihtla brewery (pihtlapruul.ee/en/) for the juniper beer tasting.
Inside that castle there’s an exhibition about an archeological site, basically they found the oldest and richest burial of vikings in Saaremaa, with 2 ships and 41 men. That find rewrites the history of vikings! That town is extraordinarily beautiful in summer, everything is so green and lush! Also some young seal puppies may wonder there during the winter if there is little sea ice!
TY for sharing your knowledge here. We were hoping to see seal puppies but literally run out of time, which is a shame but I'm sure we will be back in summer to explore the rest of this magical place!
Such a beautiful place. I think we fell in love with it even more because of the "hassles"! Can't wait to come back in summer and explore this island further!
Thanks a lot, Polly, it was fantastic! I live not far from the Pihtla brewery .. so it was kinda funny to see my own neighbourhood thru someone else's eyes 😁👍
You are very welcome Grey, it's quite amazing to see this space transform so much in a such short period of time. It's also pretty cool to see more expats living in Tallinn, I hope you like it here ;)
@@ClassicPolly You should come back some day .. preferably in the summer on Midsummer's Day .. and you will see completely different island .. more fun .. more life 😉
Nice to see familiar places. The lighthouse area is like a second home to me. You really should come by car, more relaxed way :) Bus makes you run for no reason, idea there is to be relaxed and enjoy the nature :)
We had a lot of fun exploring Saaremaa on the bus, but we will definitely come back to this wonderful island to explore more (agree that the car will be a less stressful way to do so). Are there any places on the island you recommend we visit next time?
@@ClassicPolly If you travel by car during summer then take a more scenic route along the western shore of Sõrve peninsula. The road is unpaved partially but in good condition otherwise. All the way up to Harilaiu hiking trail which is my favourite. You can rent a bicycle at the start of the trail. I prefer to walk though. Harilaiu Peninsula is the most beautiful and ancient part of Vilsandi National Park. Places to visit in Sõrve peninsula are certainly the lighthouse :) Its open in summer months so you can climb up there. Other nearby attractions that come to mind are Laadla Rabbit Village, Ohessaare tuulik, Anseküla Teelistemaja, Mändjala beach... just to mention few.
50 km Taxi ride, 😀 three of us did a 100 km taxi ride in Iceland its was a Holiday and our tour van broke down in a remote part and it was the only option to get back to Reykjavik.
@@ClassicPolly Very cool, can't wait :) I already watched all the videos related to Estonia + more. I also checed out some photos on IG and I was impressed :)

Thank you for the trip! It was very nice! And of course lighthouses are cool! I wish you many many trips!
I've been dreaming about visiting this lighthouse since last summer, so glad we made it happen! Thanks so much for watching Nek!
Thank you for visiting our beautiful Sõrvemaa, despite the hassles! Wonderful shots of winter nature, thank you :)

WHEW!!! You made it! That was one suspenseful ending for a travel video! 😅 Love Classic Polly!
Thanks Anne, just when you think the adventure is over life throws another at you!
Thank you Polly. Never fail to make me smile.
Glad I make you smile, cheers Steve!

Yeah that taxi ride would cost us more than whole trip all together, Oh gosh, I hope it didn't cost you an arm and leg to get back to the Rykjavik?
@@ClassicPolly
The tour operator paid for it.
Wait, what? You were in my country? I recently watched your camera review. Never thought you would visit Estonia 🤝
Yeah I'm currently based here so expect a few more videos from here ;)
