Robbo is right tho, people say it's because of the metal thing in his neck that he doesn't get knocked out but dude eats head kicks and doesn't even wobble a little bit, like is that metal thing that game changing or he's on something? Costa dropped him too but he didn't wobble at all he got up like nothing happened.
PEDs can't exactly improve your chin though. Obviously neck strength matters, but largely that's a matter of the brain. Right? I could be a moron and be totally wrong, I'm no scientist or doctor.
From what I know, the reason people lose consciousness when they get KO'd has something to do with the jolting/shaking motion, especially when it's on the chin/jaw. Something about the head being rattled that causes the brain to switch the lights off temporarily - might be something to do with brain stem, where the skull is attached to the spine, but I could be remembering that wrong. Yoel's neck surgery basically fused his head into place - if you watch during interviews or while he's talking, he can't actually turn his head to look at someone, he has to turn his shoulders - so in that sense it prevents his head being jolted in relation to his body. Mindsmash did a video about Yoel where he talks about this, was ages back but if you search his channel for Yoel's name it shouldn't be too hard to find.
@@calebfoster1832 I doubt they can really improve your chin’s natural potential to take shots, but they do help. Steroids help a lot during the recovering process after weight cuts and injuries, which are big factors in weakening your chin. Rob addressed this in the video. If you have help rehydrating super fast, your brain won’t be compromised from the weight cut. Besides that, the stamina you get from steroids can improve your ability to eat shots in the later rounds. And I assume some steroids help with pain. That being said, I don’t think you can just get a better chin because of the steroids. Even if he’s juicing, Romero must have a naturally strong chin (aided by his fused neck), and the steroids help him maintain it in his old age.
@@lachlanbell8390 You're 100% right. I know this much, your brain is set in fluid in your skull, and when your head is punched, your brain bounces off your skull and this causes knockouts (this is why your chin is the knockout button- get hit on the chin, your head pivots on your neck like someone spinning a globe). Also, I think getting hit on some spots like on the neck behind the ear is believed to overload the nerves which can drop you. Just like you're saying, Yoel's neck is fused in place so that's gotta help with his ability to take punches.
I know Yoel is on the sauce but steroids dont make you take punches and feel like steel the way Romero does. He was born special. Also has fused bones in his neck so that helps.
@@frek175 Steroids dont make your bones more dense. The only substance that can do that is HGH and you have to take it for years and years. Def possible that Romero is on it or was on it but GH is very hard to get passed USADA

Romero is the most tested fighter in UFC history. On the time he did pop for a steroids in trace amounts, he blamed a tainted supplement, and after winning the court battle against the company won over 27 million dollars in compensation for their supplement actually being tainted. Furthermore, there is a 23 year video history of Romero, from his time in the Olympics and Wrestling Championships, he's been the same size the entire time.

Salute to Whittaker tho. He was never the same after he fought Yoel Romero. Was hoping for an epic show down between Israel and Yoel when that fight happened but I can understand why Israel didn't want to engage with Yoel. He probably felt his power early on in the fight and just sought to win via points which I can't blame him lol.
I’m not saying Francis is on the stuff but before his rematch with stipe he was jacked and cut. Less that a year from his last fight he’s even bigger and more cut. I’m just saying
Yoel once said in an interview that when he was young training in Cuba, there were no 'sports drinks'. Only water mixed with sugar. During international competitions, he will refuse to drink any type of sports drinks. Sports drinks (gatorade and similar brands) were unknown to him, he feared that they might contain tainted substances.
Everyone says that, I love Rob but Romero is a genetic freak I've done alot of research on this, and being into fitness weight training and nutrition for years, what you will realise there's some guys that are damn lucky naturally, I've seen it with my own eyes it's rare but you do get some guys that are genetically gifted
Bro I’ve been saying that since they started testing. There’s always the cutting edge peds that aren’t even discovered. Rob just told yal Yoel Is on peds without saying it. Fighters know. You look at some of the Brazilian woman and tell they’ve done peds and no I’m not just talking about gabby or cyborg. Current roster ufc Brazilian females.
Considering Yoel cheats or pulls some weird shit in almost every fight, I think he was likely on the juice as well. He just dgaf Also the way Rob talks about Yoel feeling like concrete is how some fighters described Dan Henderson, who admitted to taking TRT
@Elliott Dunn average person. It's been tested before, if you have concrete the same size and shape as human bones it's actually weaker. It's just that when we think of concrete, we think of sidewalks or stairs or other big huge masses of concrete that people have broken their bones on. Pound for pound, bones are stronger though.
It’s a bit annoying to see how much hate people with exceptional genetics get, Whittaker should acknowledge that Romero has superior genetics and that’s it. denser bones, faster twitching muscle fibers, both of them could go on steroids and Yoel would still look better. I give credence to the assertion that both men are natural. There’s simply more evidence for Yoel being natural than there is for the contrary, Yoel Romero was the most tested at some stage, it’s only logical to give him the benefit of the doubt, anything other than that is speculation based on unfounded accusations and opinions, go with the facts not with your feelings.
@@hayate503 Yes, just because Romero has elite level genetics, does not mean he is on steroids, the average person on steroids wouldn’t look as good as him. even Joe Rogan shares my sentiments, and he knows this industry. I’m giving credence to Yoel Romero being clean based on the overwhelming evidence in support of him being natural as opposed to the contrary. I’m not making an assertion based on my feelings, only facts.
Yes they do. They provide either strenght, resistance, fat loss, muscle hardening, or all together. If you take them and train your neck muscles, they give you an edge
Yoel has clearly been juicing his whole career.... But specifically in his second fight with Whittaker. Look at the first fight, then rewatch the second fight. Romero looks like a completely transformed human. He was still big and lean in the first, but the rematch, he literally looks like a power lifter. It makes no sense whatsoever
I know Yoel personally and he trained non stop, extremely discipline, and many other great qualities that make a great champion. He is pure concrete and steal. Stop hating and star practice. To become superhuman. They are other examples of endurance such as David Coggins.
this is such cap he's been physically the same since his Olympic days smh , his genetics are super human doesn't mean he cheats , imagine for 30 + years every month making a "new type of performing-enhancing drug " as Robert would say would be impossible

Idk much about juicing, but Yoel has clips of him being equally as strong when he was younger. Idk if you can put up with Steroids for like 30 years? Some guys are just built big. 1 in a million, but its still possible.
If you are cycling correctly you can use on and off.. or he was natural and as he got older and started to lose strength he started taking a little something to help out.
many peds have long lasting effects that go far beyond 2 - 3 weeks. even years. on top of that, if you are on peds, the recovery time is going to be quicker. imagine that you are out of camp, and using something like epo, that allows you to put a lot more work in, allowing you to practice more, further developing things such as muscle memory, which will stay with you for a long time. it's just easier to put more work in...
I love how internet professionals always argue who won what fight (in any fight).... The results are in, deal with it. case closed. Like Dana says, "Don't let it get to the judges"
The problem with that statement though is that Dana is a salesman that never fought who's trying to seem like it's a matter of choice. You're fighting against some of the best fighters who've ever been born and they're spending most of their waking life figuring out how to hit you and avoid getting hit by you and you say "Don't leave it to the judges"...you may as well play a game of golf against peak Tiger Woods and say "Hey, it's like the fella says, put the ball in the hole before the other guy does"...it's just a vapid statement really
He’s obviously genetically gifted, but you said it. He looked the same 20 years ago. When he was in his early 20s. That doesn’t work in his favor. It’s beyond unusual for an elite athlete to look the same past 40 as he did in his 20s. Maybe Yoel is that much an anomaly. But I wouldn’t bet the farm on it.

There was no controversy here. Even if you gave a 10-8 to Romero, the fight would still be a majority draw. I don't know the guy but I feel like Rob is genuine and only said what he felt was true. I understand why people enjoy watching Romero fight, I get it, he's impressive (especially for his age). But if he is/was doping, he might fuck up other people for life (just see how TRT Vitor fucked up Bisping's eye). GsP alluded at Hendricks doing the same. Many thought he was just being a bitch. Turned out he was spot on.
@@Revantrekk I feel like 5th was easily a 10-8. And 3rd was, in my opinion, a 10-8. Whittaker did fire back but nothing that affected Romero. It was ATLEAST a draw, no way Whittaker won that fight. He won pretty clearly in the 1st fight imo, although it was close, but no way he won the 2nd fight.
Would also be weird if Yoel won and he'd missed weight so he couldn't take the belt home.
He’s also been fighting at 185 for way over 20 years
Anyone who says that Yoel is/was not on some kind of PED's is absolutely blind. Do you guys work out in a gym? Is there ANYONE (20, 30 or 40 years old - doesnt matter) that looks even close to Yoel? Do you know ANYONE that looks like him? Have you seen anyone looking like him, ever?
@@mihaialexandrufilipache8096 Honestly that all makes a lot of sense.
My coach also feels like metal/concrete when grappling..trying to Kimura him is like grabbing onto a piece of oak
Your coach might be Yoel. See you in tomorrow session boi
@@stam7250 this is what all youtube comments could be like in a perfect world.

It just might be where you are grabbing him. If you know what I mean. Now is it like “a piece of oak” in length, girth, or relative hardness? 🫂
Is he in the testing pool
peds test positive for yoel romero
No one can perform in 40s like Yeol did
I know Yoel is on the sauce but steroids dont make you take punches and feel like steel the way Romero does. He was born special. Also has fused bones in his neck so that helps.
They do steroids improve bone density so that would explain why he felt like metal.
@@frek175 Steroids dont make your bones more dense. The only substance that can do that is HGH and you have to take it for years and years. Def possible that Romero is on it or was on it but GH is very hard to get passed USADA

Rob won the first but if u know u know Yoel won the second as he won costa fight or izzy fight but dana had a problem w Romero
Bisping and Whittaker. True beasts.
Bisping is an example of how you should never give up losing until you win. Then you retire.
If you watch when Lyoto Machida kicks romero, body, leg, head, yoel doesnt even move a milimeter.
Theres a point where bobby catches yoel with high right kick to head, and yoel takes it as if it were a slap
Stay hydrated kids
So basically this is rob saying he’s definitely taking stuff
Romero is the most tested fighter in UFC history. On the time he did pop for a steroids in trace amounts, he blamed a tainted supplement, and after winning the court battle against the company won over 27 million dollars in compensation for their supplement actually being tainted. Furthermore, there is a 23 year video history of Romero, from his time in the Olympics and Wrestling Championships, he's been the same size the entire time.
@@MrGreFunky which is impossible you cant mantain the same amount of dry mass in your 40s as you can in your 30s. You basicly just confirmed the steroid story.
@@frek175 Normal people shouldn’t, but I’m convinced that Yoel is a Cuban Super Soldier. He’s a one of one freak of a human being.
So if you got tested you dont think romero did. He got tested like hell
Get Kamaru Usman. Am I the only one thinking dudes not legit ?
Based of what Rob is saying I 100 percent believe Yoel was taking something special but never got popped.
Never been the same?? Man's only lost to Adesanya since. Defeated Till Cannonier and Gastelum comprehensively
I think Rob will be Champ again
@@MrPankow87 really I don’t think so
never the same again? bruv he's literally getting better in each fight. he's legitimately a better fighter now than he was against romero
I’m not saying Francis is on the stuff but before his rematch with stipe he was jacked and cut. Less that a year from his last fight he’s even bigger and more cut. I’m just saying
Yeah he dropped down about 10 pounds, I don't think he's juicing
The amount of unnecessary cuts in this video is insane
Edited to make it look as if he’s talking about Romero juicing
Yoel once said in an interview that when he was young training in Cuba, there were no 'sports drinks'. Only water mixed with sugar. During international competitions, he will refuse to drink any type of sports drinks. Sports drinks (gatorade and similar brands) were unknown to him, he feared that they might contain tainted substances.
Didnt you hear Rob, asshole??? He didnt felt like metal when he fought the first time but felt like meatl in the rematch, a year older.
To be fair Romero is a different kind of freak , regardless of PEDs

Romero was on some Captain America shid, obviously.
Yeah, but Romero is fightning since 1897, how long has Whittaker been fighting for? You can't even compare the two.
I can't help but laugh everytime I think of Usman taking ish to Colby but rob didn't know Colby was behind him. Lmao

Robert doesnt look like what he sounds like
@أحمد like a russian prison fighting champion named boyka
So both Khabib AND Romero can both walk through head and leg shots like they're nothing.....
Considering Yoel cheats or pulls some weird shit in almost every fight, I think he was likely on the juice as well. He just dgaf
Also the way Rob talks about Yoel feeling like concrete is how some fighters described Dan Henderson, who admitted to taking TRT
Whittaker see holes in USADA's game
He's Cuban
Why the fuck do you keep cutting the video mid sentence?
Fun fact Bones r three times stronger than concrete
@Elliott Dunn he's obviously talking about Yoel bones.
There’s simply more evidence for Yoel being natural than there is for the contrary, Yoel Romero was the most tested at some stage, it’s only logical to give him the benefit of the doubt, anything other than that is speculation based on unfounded accusations and opinions, go with the facts not with your feelings.
yoel popped lol
@@hayate503 He took the case to court and was exonerated as well won millions of dollars.
@@CombatCinema12 u rly want to tell me that yoel romero isn't on steroids?

I’m not making an assertion based on my feelings, only facts.
Steroids dont make you able to not get knocked out, Yoel has his lack of neck to thank for that
Yes they do.
Everyone has an opinion
I know Yoel personally and he trained non stop, extremely discipline, and many other great qualities that make a great champion. He is pure concrete and steal. Stop hating and star practice. To become superhuman. They are other examples of endurance such as David Coggins.
I dont think he was hating if he beat him twice though. I think it was just something to think about.

UFC tests their main card fighters everyday 2-3weeks b4 a fight at random hours of day or night.
many peds have long lasting effects that go far beyond 2 - 3 weeks. even years. on top of that, if you are on peds, the recovery time is going to be quicker. imagine that you are out of camp, and using something like epo, that allows you to put a lot more work in, allowing you to practice more, further developing things such as muscle memory, which will stay with you for a long time. it's just easier to put more work in...

The problem with that statement though is that Dana is a salesman that never fought who's trying to seem like it's a matter of choice.
