Rob deserves MMA glory for being the only guy with the balls to fight Yoel in the first place. While everyone else was avoiding Yoel like the plague, Rob went 10 rounds with that monster.

@@lillotusplays Romero has been huge since he was young. He's a genetic freak like Mike Tyson, who was similarly huge for his age even in his early teens. Romero has been the same size and weight for over 23 years, and because of his victory in the Olympics and wrestling championships, there is video evidence of his size and weight throughout this period. Costa on the other hand just got massive in a short time frame, so much so that he made Romero look small in that ring against him. I'd say Costa is 100% juiced, whereas Yomero is just a genetic freak.

That wouldn’t stop people from juicing in the «natty» league anyways. Unless maybe they gave you a lifetime ban if you ever pop once. But If enough of the exciting athletes get popped and kicked out ain’t nobody gonna watch that shit anymore and it would just collapse without enough support. Just a hypothesis on my end but I don’t see how you’d be able to make a 100% natty league because roids are so prevalent and people want to see the limits of the human body surpassed. Imagine if all PED’s disappeared tomorrow, how would that affect sports? You’d never see anyone get anywhere close to the current records ever again. I dunno man just throwing some thoughts out here, feel free to disagree and come with better arguments.

From what I know, the reason people lose consciousness when they get KO'd has something to do with the jolting/shaking motion, especially when it's on the chin/jaw. Something about the head being rattled that causes the brain to switch the lights off temporarily - might be something to do with brain stem, where the skull is attached to the spine, but I could be remembering that wrong. Yoel's neck surgery basically fused his head into place - if you watch during interviews or while he's talking, he can't actually turn his head to look at someone, he has to turn his shoulders - so in that sense it prevents his head being jolted in relation to his body. Mindsmash did a video about Yoel where he talks about this, was ages back but if you search his channel for Yoel's name it shouldn't be too hard to find.

@@calebfoster1832 I doubt they can really improve your chin’s natural potential to take shots, but they do help. Steroids help a lot during the recovering process after weight cuts and injuries, which are big factors in weakening your chin. Rob addressed this in the video. If you have help rehydrating super fast, your brain won’t be compromised from the weight cut. Besides that, the stamina you get from steroids can improve your ability to eat shots in the later rounds. And I assume some steroids help with pain. That being said, I don’t think you can just get a better chin because of the steroids. Even if he’s juicing, Romero must have a naturally strong chin (aided by his fused neck), and the steroids help him maintain it in his old age.

I know this much, your brain is set in fluid in your skull, and when your head is punched, your brain bounces off your skull and this causes knockouts (this is why your chin is the knockout button- get hit on the chin, your head pivots on your neck like someone spinning a globe). Also, I think getting hit on some spots like on the neck behind the ear is believed to overload the nerves which can drop you. Just like you're saying, Yoel's neck is fused in place so that's gotta help with his ability to take punches.

The problem with that statement though is that Dana is a salesman that never fought who's trying to seem like it's a matter of choice. You're fighting against some of the best fighters who've ever been born and they're spending most of their waking life figuring out how to hit you and avoid getting hit by you and you say "Don't leave it to the judges"...you may as well play a game of golf against peak Tiger Woods and say "Hey, it's like the fella says, put the ball in the hole before the other guy does"...it's just a vapid statement really

yoel body in the olympics 20 years ago is the same as today
i dont think he is using anything he is genetically gifted

He’s obviously genetically gifted, but you said it. He looked the same 20 years ago. When he was in his early 20s. That doesn’t work in his favor. It’s beyond unusual for an elite athlete to look the same past 40 as he did in his 20s. Maybe Yoel is that much an anomaly. But I wouldn’t bet the farm on it.

@@Khalidsvt101 Dude many people have come out and said how easy it is to pass a drug test in the Olympics.
Olympics athletes are some of dirtiest when it comes to PEDS usage.
