I tried it and I'm buying GR7. Between GR7 and Neural DSP I've got everything covered.
It is a great demo, the software is also good, significant imporvement from 6, but I will stay with Amplitube 5 Max.
sounds pretty nice! of course not like a real amp, but that's a cool software to have!
Would you consider making your presets available?
I like the Daffy Dook preset Klaus. I am Hermoon.
it seems like i am one of the only ones that likes guitar rig better than amplitube (which i de-installed already) ... the sounds are more clean and usable for me
Any amp sim can get great clean tones - some better than others, admittedly - and GR has always been good at lush cleans. The problem is when it comes to any kind of gain. GR and BIAS are two that spring to mind when discussing sims that fall down because of unrealistic edge of breakup to high gain tones. That's where S-Gear, Amplitube, and TH-U win. Saying that, Blackstar St James is the new benchmark in my opinion. It's so good I bought it.

I tried Blackstar St. James for 2 weeks and I must admit it is very good. I I’ll however keep on using Guitar Rig and Bias FX.
For the high gain sound I found the Amped series of ML sound Lab - those are the best I found so far- give them a try if you like.
I find that Amplitube 5 Max sounds don't blend in with the backing tracks as well as GR5 ...... I'm going with GR7 to me it has awesome sounds and I play better when using it. I never even tried or considered going to GR6 because it doesn't have a looper.

It actually sounds amazing if dialed right. These online demos never seem to do it justice. I have most of these plugin based amps, and GR is among the best. The Plexi and Tweed sounds i get from it are amazing. Its not easy to dial in tho, the rather confusing interface doesnt help, but man it sounds good when you get it right...
