I played for a bit and got about 280k coins by the time I went to buy my first rocket and assumed buying the expensive stuff gave more money but spent 280k on a cake that only gives 2k per light, and they only give 30 for 280k that's a total of 60k coins gained if you take the time to light them all... from what I saw in the shop not a single thing except the cheapest items give you a return that's more then you spend... so buying fireworks is just to give you something to pass the time with while you rack up playtime coins or running the maze.

You can also get 65k to 95k by killing the ghosts in graveyard you can kill them with roman candles
