If you imagine players struggling with the Bayle fight, and restarting it each time with "CURRRRSE YOU BAAAAAYLE" you can understand why Igon has become something along the lines of the new Elden Ring mascot when it comes to memes
Senessax's boss fight is like it was designed with the question in mind, "How do we make an ancient dragon fight as annoying as possible". It's really telling that all it really needs is a pool of water. Is strange that Senessax doesn't drop any unique spell associated with it. Not that that is unique, but still feels strange. Man, Igon is so good! Wish he was in more of the game. If he was, then he'd definitely be my favorite new NPC. While not free, Bayle is a very fair boss. Sure he's fast and hits hard, but rarely will his attacks knock you down and then kill you in the same motion. Way more fair than the usual dragon breath. While a little too much of the same color, his whole fight is sick as hell. Thiollier's brew can be used as a part of Igon/Bayle/Florissax's quest. Not in the way you'd think, but the reward is pretty cool. Base reward is cool too, so is a hard choice. Don't remember if you continued Florissax's quest, but her involvement in the name of Placidusax does reframe Dragon Communion a little. It seems like they created the practice to hunt Bayle and his spawn, the drakes. Perhaps this was before Fortissax and Godwyn became friends or after, impossible to say really. If it was after though then it explains why they decided to delegate the problem to humans. Also shows that even an ancient lord like Placiusax is not above ethnic cleansing and petty revenge. With that in mind, Senessax being an ancient dragon so close to Bayle is maybe the oddest thing about the situation. Given the positioning, it seems like Senessax is perhaps protecting Bayle. Following that thought, perhaps Senessax is the mother of the drakes in the Shadow Lands? Don't have any lore or item descriptions to back up this theory. Just Senessax seeming to side with Bayle and acting in his defense.

Bayle went down so fast he didn't even get an episode title.
Oops I forgot Bayle was in this video
