Hello Howard. I am struggling with the CTE concept. There is one sticky point that if you could clarify I think I would have it. Let's assume you have a 30 degree shot. You take your cue stick and move one half tip from center ball. Now the sticky part: you want to line up from the 1/2 tip offset marker on the cue ball but where does the cue stick rotate around? Let assume the cue stick is a rifle. The bullet shoots straight through the cue stick, thru the mark on the cue ball that denotes the 1/2 tip offset and then thru to the 30 degree spot on the object ball. So, when you adjust the cue stick to A B or C positions the cue stick is actually rotating AROUND the point defined by the 1/2 tip offset on the cue ball? Is this the proper alignment? And then pivot the cue stick back to center cue ball using the back hand to rotate the cue stick? Is this correct? Thanks for your videos and your instruction.
Thank you. One question. If you have the object ball with lines facing the pocket instead of the que ball can you even see the 1/8 th point? Seems like the C point would almost be the edge from that position.
If your shooting an object ball to the left side pocket, say your aiming at B. Do you start at the left half tip offset and pivot to the center ball or do start at the right half tip offset and pivot to center ball?
This depends on factors like eye dominance and whether yr right or left handed. As a right handed and left eye dominance I would aim at B from the right side 1/2 offset and then go to CCB.
Good job Howard, thanks!

Once you define the proper angle say 30 deg (B)...from 1/2 tip offset on the CB your aiming at B..then pivot(from the backhand)to CCB and shoot!
Look up the truth series by Stan Shuffett. Lots of details!
Very good explanation.

Then aim close to the edge...
I'm confused by that statement also. Seems in that case you're back to ghostball with B being the contact point.
Do you aim the center of the cue at the a b or c?
15 degrees is a straight shot, so its the ANGLE to the pocket you aim (Could be A) and then go to CCB to shoot!
