I'm pretty sure the people of Japan are intelligent enough to know that drug dealers aren't role models. Also, don't get it twisted....Japan has it's own criminal underbelly, so they're not strangers to it.
Munch Story Actually, I have. In fact, I lived in Japan for quite a while, and the influences I've seen, I wouldn't label as negative. They pick what they like and run with it. I've been to hip hop and reggae party's (which were fun), and they just do things like tan, or perm their hair, and adopt the musical styles, dance, dress, etc of cultures they find interesting. I've never seen the negatives of the cultures they imitate. I don't think that they'll suddenly start cooking crack at home, lol.
alot of youth in japan love american culture and hiphop but only know the superficial club hoppin, dancing, flossin swaggar side of it. this is a good educational video to show certain aspects of rap music, and where it really comes from.
Julian Rey I would also add that this is a small aspect of hip hop. This type of music is from the South. I occasionally listen to hip hop, and I had absolutely no idea what trap music is, much less where it came from, which is why its important to listen to the lyrics, and not just the beat. Overall, I would say the same for all music. Recently, I heard one of Britney Spears old song called 3. It has a catchy beat, but the lyrics are so warped that its hard to understand everything she says. Anyway, I checked the lyrics to read it, and my mouth dropped. The song uses Biblical characters; Peter, Paul, and Mary to describe a threesome.
7:58 gotta love the 2 guns on his laps showing hes always ready to pop off for his crew and show hes a "real G" .....until when 12 pulls up and them 2 guns get thrown under the drivers seat and homeboy hops out screaming they not his guns, he dont carry guns, he dont know shit about them guns lol. So now EVERYBODY taking the gun charges. Lol **** for those wondering, a real " G" would wait to see if the guns are found and if they find them he would immediately take RESPONSIBILITY for HIS guns. Sadly that rarely happens and instead its " if i get locked, we all get locked up"! And more times than not , the one who the guns belong to ends up talking and snitching to save himself , throwing his own people under the bus knowing damn well they actually didnt have shit to do with the guns. But thats the "streets" for you, thats the " g code". Lol becareful who you choose to deal with cuz there arent many stand up guys let alone stand up criminals/thugs/gangstas etc.. my rant is over, just stating facts for all the young dudes watching and thinking real life is like GTA, or believe the homies will never switch up on'em. Only 2 places to go, jail/prison or the cemetary

Why when they show black people is it only poor black people? Because a normal black person just isn't interesting? This is borderline racist, but I guess their is somthing to it.
MJ L. Formerly poor or poor if you persist in doing ignorant shit it makes no difference. If you are a millionaire and still do dumb shit then that's your problem.
ImperviousMason Because they are no longer in poverty and the narrative is completely one sided. It's like when you see pictures of Nigeria or India on the news, they make it seem like everyone is uneducated or starving and neglect the fact that they have skyscrapers cars and other modern conveniences. Why is it only black people in this video, why are you glorifying this? If it were non biased their might be some normal black people in this video. Everything is made for a reason. I am not saying it is racist, I am asking for the purpose of this.
But THESE black people ARE in poverty. They exist. Think of these people as just characters in this chaotic world we live in, not as "black people" per say. You're projecting your racism by saying that the show is racist just because the poor characters are black. I would guess the purpose of this is to show how we can appreciate our better life that we so take for granted at times. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to be doing what they're doing for very long. I think that's what I can take away from this vid.
