The NPCs will continually move from one task to the next in order without stopping and if another NPC is doing the task they’ll stop in a line waiting to do it. But if a player is on the task they’ll just start the task right on top of them. Their is a well task on the first map that NPCs will always do it not facing the well. Also based on the notoriety they’ll get hints a minute too a few seconds after too just what tasks they haven’t completed yet.
For those Who Don't Know "J and L" move 10 seconds, "M" Mutes "i" Mimize's the Video so you can search "< and >" change playback speed Left and Right on the arrow Keys Advance 5 seconds "K" pauses "Space" Pauses as well if it doesnt work click with mouse on video to pause and unpause

Use comma , and period . to go frame by frame While Paused.
reminder arrow keys skip by five seconds not the < and > those adjust speed useful when trying to catch a lot of fast things tho
