I did a vid a few months ago about MOV! I think they’re awesome and I’ve never been disappointed with any sound quality whatsoever! Plus they are faithfully reproducing the covers and the labels! A huge thumbs up to them as when I see one that’s a title that I want I snap it up immediately!😂
Great video Nick. I have about 100 MOV titles, when I got back into collecting vinyl a few years ago. I was able to pick up a lot of hard to get albums from MOV. All of them play perfectly. No issues whatsoever.
Never hesitate buying any MOV releases all top quality. All their Warrant’s reissues are great. I have also noticed they don’t attract as much dust like other vinyl do for some reason.
I agree MOV is one of my favorite labels. I have about twenty of their releases and never had any defects or warped records. They really have a knack for reissuing long out of print expensive or just never released on vinyl that people actually want. You won't find any head scratchers in their catalog. Their definitely for the hardcore music lovers.
Haha. My pre-order for Cherry Pie has still not been canceled by Amazon. I just got finished listening to Boston - Don't Look Back from MOV a little while ago. They definitely have put out some great LPs and I've got quite a few myself. I like what they release most times. I just got their Foreigner 4 about two weeks ago. Great titles and great quality on what I've seen and gotten thankfully! Brian in Fort Worth 🎶
MOV is FANTASTIC!!1 Not only do they do great titles (especially hard to find/never issued 90s stuff), but you truly always know exactly what quality you are going to get 99% of the time. My only dislike (if you can even call it that) with MOV is that they make their sleeves very spacious an the outer sleeves very loose and over the the years I always get worried with shipping because there is sooooo much room for the lp to move around and the seam splits happen so easy.
Maybe someday I'll be around someone who has the stereo with a turntable to play these new vinyl records to see if they are as good as you all say they are. But I'm positive even after, I'll never go back to vinyl again. I can't even begin to tell you how many records I bought skipped right out of the jacket. My first copy of the debut Boston album cost me $3.17. I probably bought at least 4 more copies before I went to cassette. I got my first CD player in 1988. I bought the debut and Don't Look Back on CD by at least 1990. Both discs still play perfectly.
One of the few labels I buy with confidence. Just did a video with 3 of the Silverchair releases. I’ve asked them directly about mastering sources a couple times and received direct answers, which is nice.
FYI - Candlebox's self-titled debut album was available in 1995 as a double LP set, one album was the self-titled, the 2nd album was their 2nd album Lucy. One side of the jacket had the self-titled cover and the other side had the Lucy cover. The self-titled album was missing Blossom. Rhino repressed this in 2017 as part of their Rocktober releases. I have the Rhino release as well as the MOV release as I had to have Blossom on vinyl.
I have 18 MOV albums in my collection and I have zero complaints with their products. My Daughter's favourite European band, Within Temptation, has reissued much of their catalog with MOV so I grab them to tempt her to start playing vinyl records! lol
The Church-Starfish and Gold Fix Afternoon are great MOV releases with Starfish being a Masterpiece. Starfish is a must hear.. I adore Candlebox and hope to see Disappearing in airports get an mov release one day soon.
I love MOV releases, I’ve never had any issues with any that I have. I had 2 preorders for the Warrant “D.R.F.S.R.” cancelled, but I found one that was a little more than I wanted to pay, but did so because I really want that album.
i have a bunch of MOV pressings i was able to buy a lot of it for really cheap under $20 before vinyl prices got ridiculous.a lot of the MOV pressings i bought also go for a lot more than i paid for them.
Avril Lavigne - Let Go, Under My Skin Death Cab For Cutie - Plans Macy Gray - On How Life Is Natalie Imbruglia - Left Of The Middle on MOV are my favorite.
Nice video and great topic! Had to go look to see what MOV I actually have: Earth, Wind, and Fire - Last Days And Time EWF - Spirit Accept - Objection Overruled Cinderella - Night Songs Cinderella - Long Cold Winter No problems with any.
I agree! I have Aerosmith AEROSMITH, White Zombie ASTROCREEP 2000, Ministry FILTH PIG, and APC THIRTEENTH STEP. All four are perfect pressings. Mastering is not bad on the first three, but not great; usually sounding slightly thin to my ears. Mastering is incredible on the APC, however. AIC DIRT, on the other hand, was so poorly mastered (but perfectly pressed) that I sold it about a year before Columbia did it sublime justice in 2022. Of the four MOVs I own, I would replace ASTROCREEP 2000 with a great AAA pressing. Fantastic label and they do deserve a video dedicated to recognizing their consistently great work. Obviously, excellent pressing plant QC is possible. I will say I did not know the releases were so limited.
Days Of The New (that I've been waiting years for a vinyl release) from MOV is pretty damn great also! (now I gotta check my Korn selection to see if in fact my s/t by them is an MOV version)
Hi Vinyl Den Gotta give a hard agree here! Music On Vinyl [in my experience] is one of the best producers of high-quality vinyl reissues. My experience with them whilst limited has so far been very enjoyable. Initially, I became aware of them when I found out they were going to be reissuing one of my all-time favourite Goth albums, namely Elizium by Fields of the Nephilim. Next up was their brilliant series of reissues for shoegaze legends Slowdive notably their early eps & first three albums. Whilst not all coloured vinyl thee quality of the reissues [for my money] is excellent. Especially with their reissues CRANES first ep Self non Self and their classic Gotthic trilogy Wings of Joy Forever & Loved. Along with a triple vinyl set covering the bands' eps & singles. Early this year Music on Vinyl commenced a series of colour vinyl reissues for CURVE which will cover their first 9 eps [as with the CRANES reissues] all being issued on colour vinyl variants. So I for one; as you may have guessed am a very HappiGoth 🖤 Loving the Chanel It told a buddy of mine about the Walmart Van Halen boxset, he's a huge DLRoth fan, so was especially excited about the poster lol
One of the only reissue labels that do my favorite long gone genre of glam metal.Cinderella white lion quiet riot winger danger danger warrant.
Yes, they do a great job of reissuing albums that largely get overlooked by other labels.
Very happy to hear that. One thing I definitely like about them is they are a lot less expensive than the Mobile Fidelity albums.
Great video Nick. I have about 100 MOV titles, when I got back into collecting vinyl a few years ago. I was able to pick up a lot of hard to get albums from MOV. All of them play perfectly. No issues whatsoever.

I was lucky enough to get the Rocktober Candlebox which included Lucy, but you're right MOV is the way to go in many cases.
I'd LOVE to have Lucy on wax. I have their 1st and 3rd ones (both on MOV)

Great video! I just bought my first record from this label. Black label indigo girls album. Looking forward to hearing it.
I haven't been disappointed by a MOV release yet!

I have MOV Desire by Bob Dylan and it sounds fantastic

I have a bunch of MOV. They have a bunch of 90s alternative that is just not available anywhere else.
Alice in Chains Unplugged and Candlebox Happy Pills are probably my favorite Music on Vinyl releases that I have. Both sound great!
I need that Unplugged, was really hoping for RSD release but the list has no AIC at all.
have those both as well, and that Happy Pills sounds EXTRA great for whatever reason!
@@mikepotter3802 this upcoming RSD list is weak AF if you ask me, maybe one album I'm even semi interested in, Taproot.

I just ordered the CandleBox today
MOV sourcrd from digital but it's their DMM mastering that gives the music depth. To some people it has a harsh cold sound.

I have two Theo Croker on MOV. Both color. Both outstanding. Both numbered and limited to 750.

Alice in chains unplugged , puddle of mudd are just a couple of my favourite MOV pressings I have
Avril Lavigne - Let Go, Under My Skin
Death Cab For Cutie - Plans
Macy Gray - On How Life Is
Natalie Imbruglia - Left Of The Middle
on MOV are my favorite.
Nice video and great topic! Had to go look to see what MOV I actually have:
Earth, Wind, and Fire - Last Days And Time
EWF - Spirit
Accept - Objection Overruled
Cinderella - Night Songs
Cinderella - Long Cold Winter
No problems with any.
The one MOV press I've had sound issues with is the Dark Knight Rises soundtrack but it's likely due to the silver colored vinyl they use.
Some of the best prices as well! 🤣

They sound just like the cd version, if that sounds good to you- enjoy.
Anyone have the mahogany rush live on music on vinyl?

💳💸💰🧾🏷Doesn't MOV only sell in EUROPE? Their prices are in EUROS & as a Canadian that gets wayyyyy too expensive! Most of their vinyls are 35 Euros...
They are pressed in and released first in Europe, and then typically released here in the US a week later.
@@TheVinylDen Do you know where they are released in the US?
Totally agree. The 10 or so MOV albums I have are all top quality!
