Or I'd say I felt like djs like him got "into it" from a disingenuous place of coat tail riding something trendy to make a buck. Mind you I was hearing great stuff in that Era on subfm and dubstepfm that was crazy new stuff BUT had the spirit of dubstep in it unlike the skrillex like artists who weren't into it in thier hearts or thier history with dubstep. So I'd say that I agree with you that the mainstream feeling or a sense of dubstep was kind of split off into a separate train track that was of the dubstep and artist who weren't really part of that spiritual pathway of dubstep LOL. Because I think it is that side road of artists who didn't really have the spirit of dubstep that lead to the description that you provided that I agree with. but again the more modern or evolutionary evolutionary track of dubstep that I was hearing all that was different from the original stuff was still good stuff and it had The spirit of dubstep in it. So long story short I agree 100% In the fact that thing's changed but only in the streams that were siphoned off of by dubstep vampires like Skrillex but regardless of all that the fact still stands that original dubstep is just good stuff. 😅
