Travelling during a PANDEMIC! 48 hours from Bali-Aus! next 14 days of hotel iso in Australia

welcome back to my channel, this vlog is about my experience travelling from Bali, Indonesia to Brisbane Australia.
To get a direct flight into Brisbane I had to go to Doha with Qatar Airways!! a trip that is normally 6 hours direct took 48 hours and 3 flights, to then have 14 days of mandatory hotel isolation.. wow what a whirlwind 2020 is!
Saying bye to my baby Oreo was so sad but getting to Australia in time for my twin sisters birth of her first baby is worth all this!
I hope this provides some intel on the difficult and stressful time it is to be flying right now, and I also thought it might be fun to look back on as a memory of how weird 2020 was!

I was eagerly watching your iso ig stories everyday and counting down the days with you. I get emotional too after long haul flights. We suppress our anxiety and often don’t realised we’ve reached our peak. Can’t imagine myself being stuck in a room for 14 days. You’re amazing! And thank you for sharing this experience ☺️

yeah kudos to Australia on having like NO cases! they initially had self quarantine and some people bent the rules and ruined it for everyone! :( I will 100% film some Aussie ones, and also got some more iso ones to do :D xxx

I literally started crying the second you said "this is where we say goodbye" to Oreo! My husky Mia is my absolute life and soul and I would be distraught if I had to spend so much time away from her. You are so strong!

I love traveling. Watching this video with empty airports, masks and all that made me so sad about the world we are currently living in. I wish this is over soon 😭 But thank you for sharing your experience. It was so interesting to see.

My daughter is in Lithuania, safe but I just want her back in Australia. After seeing what you had to go through & how long I’d hate to see how long it’d take to get her home😢 You’re an amazing sister & definitely worth the trip to see her new baby 🙂
getting to Europe from Bali was quicker than Bali to Australia, so id say probably similar for her. but yeah its verrrry hard to plan :( glad its over with. hopefully by the time your daughter needs to return things are. bit more normal! xx

Hey, why have you traveled all the way to Doha back and forth although Bali is pretty much close to Australia? PS: keep on doing vlogs we love it!
I went, Bali-Jakarta-Doha-Brisbane
at the time it was the only way I could get directly into Brisbane, usually direct 6 hours to Brisbane from Bali and multiple times a day, so yeah real wild flight path haha x

Did they test you in Australia?
nope! it was optional and I decided not to do it.. its apparently very painful and hadn't had any symptoms or known of anyone around me to have had it or symptoms so I figured after being in a hotel room on my own I should be ok haha xxx

it is very comfortable tbh, I bought a large though and Im 100% a small haha but its from peptio supermarket in Bali, I can't remember the brand name.. its a NZ technology though..
Unpopular opinion. I don’t care for travel. At all. I do though, love watching other people travel 🤷♀️ Hotels and airports just aren’t my vibe 😊 It would definitely have been very anxiety inducing going into that hotel, knowing you couldn’t leave for a fortnight, but also having all your family and friends just on the other side of the window everyday would’ve been a killer 😣 Glad it’s all done for you so you can be by Ellie’s side at this very important time (I was so worried she’d go into early labour and you’d miss out 🥺). Let the fun begin!
I know I was thinking if she goes into labour while I'm in here I'm escaping somehow HAHAH!! Very glad its over, and very glad to have my fam and friends!!!xx

its really sad and scary that the only time in my life i'll ever afford a vacation is in the middle of a pandemic. i'm really trying not to be selfish and i'm going to protect myself and others as much as possible but i'll be going on my very first trip mid-july and i'm so so so scared of bringng the virus home to my high risk mom. I know it's not the time but this is the first time me and all my friends have money and free time. we'll stay in the airbnb and rental car for as long as we possibly can, avoid other people, and not go to bars or restaurants. we'll just enjoy nature and our time together. I wont take anything for granted and i'll be as cautious and clean as possible.
yeah I totally feel you! its a hard one, and so depends on your situation, and what its like in your country, like here in Aus now the cases are soo low!
