It’s really coming together! I just bought a really clean E430 that’s identical to your parts car and have been sorting out a few odds and ends the last few weeks. Typical maintenance and known issue correction such as a rear window regulator, headlight restoration and harnesses, motor mounts and many hours of paint correction and detailing have already gone into what was a really good example and I really enjoy working on these old cars so it is a form of therapy for me. I have a matching black on anthracite W211 E55 as well that has taken 2 years to get semi-restored and I rely on you-tubers such as yourself, Alex at Legitstreetcars (lots of W210 and W211 how-to’s) as well as a few new channels I discovered recently such as SoCal w210 and W210 Garage for tips and tricks to keep both of my cars near pristine for their age and mileage. Keep up the great content!

Yay!! Glad you were able locate an e55 bumper. Just a heads up.. If that spark plug comes up gummy again and you encounter a misfire it may be the valve seal for cylinder 5. I had the same issue. Enjoy!

1.24 there called HT leads, sometimes they ill have burn marks on them, that's one way to tell if they are running to ground, or arcing

That's what i said last time, do all the plugs and all the leads on a car with an M113 if there is no previous record of them having been done, people leave them in way to long because of cost and the rear ones being a bit tight to get at, cures about 90% of running issues on these engines. Also slightly jealous of yours being OBDII, mine only has the old round MB plug which makes life difficult.

Yep I’ll do the rest of them when I park the car for winter

I took it out threw the rear passenger side door but it’s almost impossible to take it out without damaging it a little

Looks like he does work on semi trucks.. Those are much more involved than working on a Mercedes. Plus, UA-cam and WIS/EPC helps too!

I’m all self taught but whenever I get stuck UA-cam helps a lot
