Thank you for this message. I haven't turned down many people in my life, but I have to some, in my own way. I don't recall the details besides one instance that happened years ago. On that idea, it would be rather strange that she would still be thinking of me. At the time, I wasn't ready for a real relationship and I didn't handle it well. I do miss them and I wish I could talk to them and apologize for how I handled it. I understand that something like that may not ever happen, however. I've been lied to and manipulated so many times... I never know if someone is ever being honest with me. Love is a complex and unpredictable emotion. It doesn't see whether the person for whom you have developed feelings are in a relationship already.
