This is Omar's first acting role and it feels like he's been acting for years. He's soooo freaking good in Young Royals. And the chemistry he has with Edvin is through the roof. I have watched shows/movies where the actors have insane chemistry but Omar and Edvin's chemistry is so different to the ones i have watched. I have never seen anything like it.
WRITING...WRITING...WRITING > and yes, definitely very talented actors! But it all starts with high quality writers and producers who treat both the LBGTQ subject matter and viewers of the series with an appreciated high degree of respect, care and consideration!
The casting of this show is INSANE, not only do they fit their own roles but they also fit each other so perfectly. Like, the football field scene...ugh. There NEEDS to be a season 2.
BUT > "Whose Door Is Victor At?" AND > "Who will Victor CHOOSE?" > *BARF*!:( "Young Royals " is so vastly superior to the Hollywood schlock "Love Triangles, Victor"!:)
To make the point that LBGTQ viewers need to raise their voices and demand higher quality, more intelligent, better written & cast series like "Young Royals"! Renewal is assured, but it will take roughly one year for season 2 to drop > which is a frustrating reality of Streaming series which I hope gets shortened moving forward!:(
The small details in this series are exquisite. The breathing. Like how they breathe heavily when they are around each other. willi's nail biting. It's all so good 😭😭😭
Just finished Young Royals yesterday and it's insanely how much I fell for it. Especially for the chemistry between Wille and Simon. Their scenes together were pure art (the way they stared, hugged, kissed, touched...) and I just got to know that they had an intimacy coordinator... please can we just emphasize how beautiful that is? How beautiful it is that there was respect and trust throughout the whole process. Also the fact that the story was written by a woman. It makes it all even more perfect. I'm so happy to have a story like this. Everyone should watch it!
That's right - you should always remember that it's a cross series and everything, everything that happened between the two boys was a game. Of course there has to be a coordinator behind it, because how else would these two know where the beginning and when the end. It's based on a script. Symbol „Von der Community überprüft“
When Omar says "Mam-maa" as he does, it stops my breath. He speaks the language so very beautifully and like no one I've heard. He is so precious, pretty, and eloquent! And Edvin....so elegant, intense, and handsome! They are unique, beautiful and naturally gifted!
Yes, of course, because it was agreed upon beforehand. On Netflix, these two only say what you should and are allowed to hear. This documentary was carefully planned in advance, that should be clear to everyone before everyone starts crying. It's a show, nothing more. It's okay that the chemistry is right, but if it had been other two actors before, the comments would all be the same. Symbol „Von der Community überprüft“ Feedback
Omar seems to have a little crush 'cause how much his facial expressions are smiling and flirty. But it may just be that he's shy, after all this is an interview and he's not acting, some actors get disconcerted.
@@jessicapalhares8436 i think omar is naturally shy (but like not in a type of way that comes into your mind first when you think of someone being shy, i don't know if that makes sense) in situations he's not super used to (here: promoting a show). while edvin gives me a laid back vibe (and if not then it's more the momentary nerves than being shy imo) during these promo stuff (probably bc of the experience of describing or analysing roles and storylines - stuff they do during promos). if you have seen the IG live interview they did, omar is fidgeting there a lot and seems really nervous at the beginning while edvin is mostly calm. so omar's smiles here are probably because he's nervous and edvin's staring and him showing the other person he's listening and acknowledging what they are saying is either just one of his habits (i didn't see any other interview with him that was not with omar so idk how he is with anyone else) or he wants to make omar feel more at ease
I love their authenticity. We need these type of genuine young men in the entertainment industry to teach the world non- toxicity and educate the society on several topics.
I've seen episodes of the series several times. Each time I notice a different detail, a thread worth looking at and thinking about. We don't talk much about the script, which is wonderful, so natural and so relevant to the present times. Edvin, Omar you are wonderful.
They both handled it well, but it was just a script that made the whole thing one. It was obvious that they both became best friends during 3 years of filming because that's how they would fit in in real life. But, real is not a show, script agreed exactly.
This show is soooooo good! I’m really glad I live in a time where shows like this exist. When I was younger, the next best thing was reading a wattpad fiction about characters like these but to have these characters portrayed and not filtered in real life it’s just amazing really. It is. I don’t know what season 2 story line will be, the secret is out so I’m excited to see what crazy thing they bring up. This is a 10/10 for me
Just watched this gem of a series and I swear I've never seen anything portray the process of falling in love and being in love this perfectly. The chemistry between Omar and Edvin is unbelievable, and they venture so bravely and completely into their roles it's hard to believe it's all fake. I don't think most actors would describe kissing scenes they had as "insanely good". Just goes to show how laid-back they are about everything - and that you can't fake true chemistry.
Sure, we've all had many bad memories in highschool, but it's nice to see that the characters in the series are more than just bullies and goody-two-shoes. Each of the character have their dark and light sides, with acne, bad hair days and whatnots... just like REAL TEENAGERS! It's also so refreshing to see more depth, culture and diversity in teenage drama series. It's good to see trilingual kids talking as most of us in the world can relate to this! This series have opened my eyes more, looking through the lenses of two boys, in contrasting environments, going through adolescence phase, like us all. I'm a straight female and went to a Catholic private school all my life. I have met kids like them and had seen the superficial side of their lives. But, it's eye-opening and touching to take a glimpse of what's really going on to them emotionally. I'm so in love with the characters and rawness of the story. Kudos to the cast and crew of Young Royals! Can't wait for Season 2!
Watch it with subtitles? I have been watching English shows since I started reading...and before that too. And Swedish is some times just like English, you'll learn fast 😊

their chemistry is so beautiful even outside of Wilhelm and Simon, which i think isn’t very common in many actors. i love them :( season 2 badly needed alert!
The authenticity and realism of the show and the chemistry between the actors makes this show really amazing and different. Really thankful to NETFLIX and the whole cast and crew and a friend who suggested me to watch the show.. really hoping for season 2 soon🖤...
they're so mature omg. i'm in between them in terms of age and i wish boys my age, and even people my age, could talk so well and so maturely about mental health and sexuality! i'm just thinking about my siblings, my brother is older than omar and my sister a bit younger than edvin, but they would never been able to talk like this, and this is saddening. thank you to these great actors really, they made the show so well
The chemistry between these two is remarkable...it goes way beyond acting...also, the positive message they're sending to so many young fans is amazing😊Omar is right.. life is so much easier when you don't care what people think.
That's so sweet honestly, their friendship is so remarkable. Their so comfortable around each other, it's like what a real friendship should be like (obviously there are different types of friendships out there)

It was an incredibly emotional show. If you put aside their respective social class, what I loved most is that it focused on the love story between two normal, everyday young guys in a "natural environment", something we can actually relate to, as we often lived these situations at school. It's different from other shows that feature gay people. We need more like this one! :)

The way I screamed at my laptop when it told me the 6th episode was over. When I say skip everything else on your list and watch this first - I REALLY MEAN IT. I need this to have a season 2 I just need it to. Rant over.
@@twoghosts2557 Normally I would say don't ship two real people. But actually not in this instance. And that's because the two lead actors being shipped are okay with it. You're talking about two actors who regularly (and happily) interact with stan accounts (including both Wilhem and Simon stans and separate Edvin and Omar stans.) They've even done some videos together where they played off the real life shipping of the two. I really think they're just so comfortable with their friendship and their own sexuality that they they're not afraid to utilize shipping to capitalize on the popularity of the show and help their careers. Bravo to them for being so talented, smart, and open minded. So to sum up, I think real life shipping is okay- if the real life people being shipped are okay with it.
What edvin said is so true. We have to come out only because We feel like its a need to tell people, get validation from them, like, “What if they will look at me different? I have to tell them to be sure.” You should be Who you are without having to explain it to other people.
This show has just become a favorite of mine and the romance is up there with Bly Manor’s. Let me start by saying that I have never fallen in love, nor have I known what any of it feels like, so when I get to live that through movies and series, I am always very delighted. The expressions written on the characters’ faces in Young Royals tell you everything you need to know about love, and I was left repeatedly thinking about the series after finishing it. What got me the most is the subtlety and foolishness of young love embodied in smiles and stolen glances. It’s the genuine heartbreak that was drawn all over Wilhelm’s face at the thought of losing Simon for me, and the clear cut distinctions that continue to highlight their relationship class-wise when faced with obstacles. Honestly, I am thankful for everyone, who worked on this show for the raw performances and solid narration. The cast did very well.
I really didn't know anything about this show until I saw it listed on Netflix and decided to watch it. I could not take myself away from it and ended up binge-watching for two days. These two handsome young actors are amazing. The entire cast is fantastic and the story is well written. I can't stop thinking about these two actors and cannot wait until season three starts.
My eyes tear up when I think about the impact that shows like Young Royals, which portrays love between people of the same gender as natural and precious, will have on young people who are exploring their sexualities. Simon’s and Wilhelm’s storylines validate queer youth’s experiences-the good and the bad. The visibility of queer protagonists on screen assures queer youth that their identities are not shameful.
This is some of the best casting I've seen in years. Their chemistry is perfect, in and out of character.

With this series deservedly trending #1 in so many major global markets, it ain't a tough call to confidently say it WILL be renewed!
We will get a second season, Thank you Netflex
Looks like we're off the hook because SEASON 2 IS OFFICIALLY HAPPENING! 👑
@@stillwatchingnetflix omg yay that makes me so happy to hear!!!
I have never seen anything like it.
best show on netflix, edvin and omar are incredible and it really felt so real and intimate, beautiful.
WRITING...WRITING...WRITING > and yes, definitely very talented actors! But it all starts with high quality writers and producers who treat both the LBGTQ subject matter and viewers of the series with an appreciated high degree of respect, care and consideration!
@@jimsummers3313 yes of course the writers are amazing! watched their deep talk you can see how much they care about the story they're telling.
they’re so attentive to each other, they listen so well when the other is speaking they have such great chemistry this is a1 casting
Yeah they should like some how to react this bro romance thing looks like some time
I rewatch this show everyday, im not Kidding im literally obsessed

OMG ME TOO LMAO

Same!!! i have had it on REPEAT for a week now❤️❤️❤️❤️👑👑👑👑

@@jimsummers3313 why do u need to compare tho?
To make the point that LBGTQ viewers need to raise their voices and demand higher quality, more intelligent, better written & cast series like "Young Royals"! Because if they don't, Hollywood will keep right on delivering over-rated, "love triangles" schlock like "Love, Victor" which isn't close to the quality and intelligent writing of vastly superior "Young Royals"!@@moonbinisaghostiemermaidpr4950

Netflix just need to tell us that it's been renewed for a second season so we can calm down and by we i mean me 😭😭

no we*
We need season 2 ASAP
Renewal is assured, but it will take roughly one year for season 2 to drop > which is a frustrating reality of Streaming series which I hope gets shortened moving forward!:(
It's only 2 days more of waiting by now
@@sammy-db6ix It's already out now lollllllllll
We need season 3 now hahaha
edvin staring at omar like that has me trying to catch my breath.. how the hell does omar handle that and can remain so calm?? 🥵
I was saying the same thing omg!?!?!?
The small details in this series are exquisite. The breathing. Like how they breathe heavily when they are around each other. willi's nail biting. It's all so good 😭😭😭
and when his jealous damn my heart
the way they both stare at each other so deeply while the other is talking
i aspire to be as good a listener as they are
One of the best shows on Netflix, full stop! And in no small part thanks to Edvin and Omar! Netflix is insane if they don't renew this show!

When Omar says "Mam-maa" as he does, it stops my breath. He speaks the language so very beautifully and like no one I've heard. He is so precious, pretty, and eloquent! And Edvin....so elegant, intense, and handsome! They are unique, beautiful and naturally gifted!
1:42 That sweet smile 🙂
Whenever i think Wilhelm only has Simon i cry deep inside
I hope they will bring em together
The chemistry of this two is no joke
What Edvig says at 4:44 is so relevant! having fluidity in who you like or are shouldn’t be considered a huge statement just, you being you
I forget that they aren’t their characters in this video. Their chemistry is so great and natural. Nothing in this video felt forced or uncomfortable

1:08 the way he's so focused on Omar speaking and the "hmm" with the intense stare,,,,god I coming up
I..have fantasies. 👑👑👑👑❤️❤️❤️❤️
WTF 😭😭
I like how Edvin Ryding face wasn't covered in makeup in series, while he is wearing one here. Regardless of his skin texture, he is handsome.
7:25 the way Omar looks at Edvin istg🤭🥺
Sayin..
Tbh the way they look at each other is totally something else. I just blush out when they look at each other
i literally need a giant photo of Omar on my wall like how is any human that fucking pretty like he is so gorgous
TRUEE.THOSE EYES THOSE CURLS AHHHHHHH
Fr, he is really cute ngl
This show is soooooo good! I’m really glad I live in a time where shows like this exist. When I was younger, the next best thing was reading a wattpad fiction about characters like these but to have these characters portrayed and not filtered in real life it’s just amazing really. It is. I don’t know what season 2 story line will be, the secret is out so I’m excited to see what crazy thing they bring up. This is a 10/10 for me
I love how they look in each other's eyes when talking, they are really comfortable with each other
I feel like I'm gonna melt if edvin looked to me like that
I NEED SEASON TWOOOOO
Just watched this gem of a series and I swear I've never seen anything portray the process of falling in love and being in love this perfectly. The chemistry between Omar and Edvin is unbelievable, and they venture so bravely and completely into their roles it's hard to believe it's all fake. I don't think most actors would describe kissing scenes they had as "insanely good". Just goes to show how laid-back they are about everything - and that you can't fake true chemistry.
Why is this incredible show even being compared to Elite? It's so much better.
Thank god this show is finally getting promoted more towards anglophone audiences, it needs a season 2 !!
thank u netflix for introducing me to these two angels, GIVE ME SEASON 2
Such a genuine conversation, topics, characterisation, worth watching!!!!
Right now Netflix says “It’s Official: Another Season is Coming!”, but as soon as it comes out I’m literally gonna cry 😭
Same lol
I love this show as it feels so real, pure & down to earth
I already watched this interview on Netflix Nordic but I’m watching it again and enjoying it again
Not me spending the last 5 hours learning Swedish so I gat some day rewatch the shoe in it's original language
The dedication!! We love to see it.
i wish u the best of luck
Hi sister siwa 😍✨
Watch it with English subs
Watch it with subtitles? I have been watching English shows since I started reading...and before that too. And Swedish is some times just like English, you'll learn fast 😊
Omar: ”And we’re really hoping that you’ll watch young royals”
Me: *right now watching it the 6th time cuz it was so damn good*
”Don’t worry, I’ll watch it a 7th time”
This show is one of the best that Netflix has ever created. It is extremely realistic, fragile, and beautiful. We definitely need S2 !
ONE OF THE BEST NETFLIX SERIES!!! OFF COURSE 🙌
Omar's smile is soo cute 🥰😭
there were scenes where i braced myself for the typical portrayal of struggling with sexuality and mental health but this show subverted my expectations so well. congrats to the writers, actors, and the entire team. it's wonderful hearing them talk about their craft and seeing how comfortable they are. can't wait for season 2!!
their chemistry is so beautiful even outside of Wilhelm and Simon, which i think isn’t very common in many actors. i love them :( season 2 badly needed alert!
bro they answer the questions with such elegance, intellect and understanding of the question
Their so comfortable around each other, it's like what a real friendship should be like (obviously there are different types of friendships out there)
Still watching 2yrs later. Young Royals is that once in a lifetime true love story. There is no screen. We interact with it directly in our heart. Bravo. 👏 Everyone involved. They were such role models for genz. Lost to time now.
I was supposed to do my modules but instead I binged watch this til 3am yesterday and now i can't get over of them. I just love that when their awkward i felt awkward too, when there was a tension i felt it too like i am part of the serie. The amount of heart fluttering moments of them are making me overwhelmed. Love them so much now ❤️
they have an amazing chemistry
It was an incredibly emotional show. If you put aside their respective social class, what I loved most is that it focused on the love story between two normal, everyday young guys in a "natural environment", something we can actually relate to, as we often lived these situations at school. It's different from other shows that feature gay people. We need more like this one! :)
Swedish is such an interesting accent
It doesn’t sound like any other language I barely believe they really understand what they’re saying lol
AMAZING SHOW BTW
ok but how is it weird? i've heard people say it kinda sounds like we're singing because we have so much pitch and different accents in the language but idk. i'm swedish so I've never been able to hear the language from an outside perspective haha, i'm genuinely curious
"It doesn't sound like any other language"
It's pretty similar to Norwegian, though.
@@tova1412 i’m danish and i think it depends on the accent! some swedes really do sing, these guys aren’t really!
@@xEckored yeah? these two have pretty different accents though, i wonder which ones sound like singing. i would have guessed people from Stockholm but that's edvin haha

His character Just smiles when he is with Simon :( ❤️
A perfect match for Simon and Wilhelm. Omar and Edvin did a fantastic job portraying them. Their chemistry is soooo visible even if they are not acting here. So natural. Wow!
The way they look at each others😍
I like the way Edvin looks at Omar😍 Myghood!! Can't wait for the Season 2!!😭😍😍
I love the the two of you, like everyone else. Your connection seems palpable, sincere. And, the ability to speak multiple languages is absolutely mind boggling to me. The show MUST go on!
I need Edvin to drop his skin routine ngl
Bros eye contact is killing me he was so focused
Love these two
best netflix series i’ve seen it’s so so good. well done to all the actors and people behind the scenes! really hope to see a season 2 announcement soon.
They are perfect for the roles. Definitely one of my favorite series now
They understood their characters so well and played them perfectly.
Love my Simon and wille 💕
THE SCENES AND EMOTIONS AND CHEMISTRY IN THESE SERIES ARE SO RAW AND REAL. I HAVE NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR THIS SHOW. Let's start a revolution
This show deserves the world. I love the entire cast and I will protect Simon with my life. I loved Felice so much and Wile was an incredible protagonist and August’s character…the feelings I felt whilst binging the entire series one night. The way I screamed at my laptop when it told me the 6th episode was over. When I say skip everything else on your list and watch this first - I REALLY MEAN IT. I need this to have a season 2 I just need it to. Rant over.
Edvin was spitting facts about sexuality. He can't be completely straight, right?? If he's straight he's the nicest straight guy in existence.
I think he meant that he realized that his sexuality is. more fluid too. His answer was a little unspecific, but the question was clear.
Bro don't give me hope.We already know about Omar, if Edvin isn't straight my shipper heart won't handle
This is lowkey so heterophobic.
@@TheG4BR1EL4 don’t ship real people
@@twoghosts2557 Normally I would say don't ship two real people.
We need season 2 🙌
the way edvin looks at omar is adorable
Not me blushing because both of them are staring and smiling at each other AWE😭❤
Their chemistry is so strong! I love them both!! ❤️
Their chemistry was awesome
I really didn't know anything about this show until I saw it listed on Netflix and decided to watch it. I could not take myself away from it and ended up binge-watching for two days. These two handsome young actors are amazing. The entire cast is fantastic and the story is well written. I can't stop thinking about these two actors and cannot wait until season three starts.
An excellent and witty Q&A! Hats off to you both boys. Your conversation and the show itself addresses several valid points. Well done!!
Omg the way Omar said" idc about anybody"😍😁😜
Talented actors, great to watch them. Edvin's sad face and that tear rolling down his face in the last episode was very special.
My eyes tear up when I think about the impact that shows like Young Royals, which portrays love between people of the same gender as natural and precious, will have on young people who are exploring their sexualities. Simon’s and Wilhelm’s storylines validate queer youth’s experiences-the good and the bad. The visibility of queer protagonists on screen assures queer youth that their identities are not shameful.
if this show doesn't get renewed while riverdale's out here with like 6 seasons im going to RIOT
their chemistry is beautiful.
I'm sooooo addicted to this show right now.. Please Please Please give us the second season as soon as possible.. 💕
