So great to hear that you, Dr Kelly, will teach a program on sex and testosterone! I learned so much from you, I love your sense of humor but even more I love your passion for helping women. Because of doctors like you I was able to access HRT at age 53! After only a few days my joint and muscle pain starte to improve drastically and my Physiotherapist said she never saw a frozen shoulder thaw quicker! Ten other horrible symptoms improved so much after only a few weeks! Now i'm fighting for my Testosterone because after thirty years of having been on the pill, my SHBG level is skyhigh! It is a fricking struggle to teach my doctors! Thank you for teaching me and thank you again for all you do! Best wishes to you both from Germany 🇩🇪💕
Kudos to you ladies for leaving the health insurance companies behind. I pay out of pocket for my healthcare and my hormones and it’s the only way. I have actually have been through many menopause doctors and had one that refused to see me because I DON’T have health insurance!! I said goodbye to her! We have to advocate for ourselves and I’m so happy that the Menoposse is going strong! Keep up the great work ladies!!!
Great talk Dr's!! Thank you for all you do for us! I'm doing all the "things" and feeling wonderful thanks to the information you are getting out there! Keep it up!! Please do a show on Hulu!! ❤❤❤
I have RA and I will tell you my joint pain is so minimal since starting HRT. It’s been a game changer. I had hip pain for 6 months and was just prescribed anti inflammatories. I never even took them.
My testosterone was at 4 . I started compounding testosterone and it quickly went up to a 99 . I was like it's too much . So I lowered it and felt worse . I was getting a sore throat and felt like I was getting sick before my period. With testosterone that was mostly gone . But it took my frozen shoulder away within 3 days . The histamine issue I was having 80 percent better . And allergies are gone . It definitely helps with sleep.
I'm a 66-year-old woman, and I'm still struggling with hot flashes. My joints ache, and I’m having trouble sleeping. When I brought up hormone therapy with my doctor, she dismissed it immediately without discussion. I’m feeling frustrated and really need help.
I feel for you, sister! 🙏💕 Don't give up and keep looking for a better informed doctor! We will become "an army of women" fighting for our right to get the modern adequate evidence-based healthcare we deserve 💪♀️
Did my research and went to my GP and then Obgyn. They gave me what I wanted by I had to decide on dosage and how to take it. But I am grateful my insurance covers it! It’s bee 2 weeks only, I gained 3-4 pounds but I am positive it is temporary! 57 year old😊
I had all the symptoms, it was terrible!!!!! I started hrt 6 months ago, estradiol spray and Mirena Iud, omg, I feel so much better!!! Of course I have my days 😂 but I am like 85% better.
Have either of you had an opportunity to look at the newly updated NICE Guideline for menopause in the UK? Published on the 7th November 2024. Vaginal oestrogen finally gets a big emphasis. Estriol cream looks like it's going to become the first line treatment of care (in the UK estriol is more widely prescribed than vaginal oestradiol), but prasterone and osphena are also specifically mentioned as options. Which is all great 😀😀😀 I'm not sure what to make of the rest of the new guideline, some of it seems retrograde to me. Would love to know what you think💡 Thank you both 💛xx
This is brilliant and I would like to share with you if I wasn’t taking my hormones I dread to think what would have happened to me because not only did I have a early menopause and I still am in perimenopause plus I also have pmdd and now I’m on a higher dose of progesterone i feel so much better and I struggled for years because doctors thought I was intolerant to progesterone and all along it was the missing hormone i slept right through the night in this last week and I haven’t slept for several years i can’t tell you how much I really appreciate my hormones and I will never give them up and why should I,I was given my hormones since puberty and now I’m going through adult puberty so I need them just as much or even more ❤
I am interested in asking my dr for a low dose of testosterone. How do I start and how do I justify? Can you please cite some studies about the benefits of testosterone on menopausal women?
My meno specialist will not prescribe it. I do not know where to turn. My 10 year relationship has been suffering for the past 3 years and I am beyond frustrated!!!
love your channel Dr. Kelly! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I am curious if you are in menopause Or perimenopause?

Increased my patch dosage twice because the joint aches/pains improve significantly with each increase in dosage!
Dr. Lisa Mosconi will wipe the floor in that debate on estrogen for dementia prevention! BRING IT.

Why is this story so common! I'm in my early 40s and also being dismissed.

Find a different doctor ask for a referral. You can do this.

What about DHEA for women who live in countries where you can't get testosterone?

Dr. Louise Newson has lots of information.
