My grandma passed away recently and everytime I hear this song I can't help but remember the "grandma" scene from the game and I just get shivers down my spine. Beautiful cover, beautiful song, beautiful game.
It's been 4 months and I still listen to your song in loop. You should consider making a cover of "Emil - Sacrifice" (possibly the updated version they made for Nier Replicant v. 1.22), that would really be awesome ^_^
Playing Nier Automata is like life. It will make you cry, question your life, be depressed, and have an existential crisis. But at the same time it is so Beautiful and Amazing.
That's really what life as a human being on earth is about, lol. A combination of heaven and hell, wonder and horror, love and hatred...all mixed into one. And it is in this balance of both light and darkness, that each of us then truly get to choose who we want to become. For e.g. some choose to give in to circumstances and hatred, and thus become unhappy or self-centered individuals for the rest of their ever-struggling lives. Whereas others realize the hidden love/perfection beneath all of life's imperfections, and become saints and enlightened individuals, etc.
Last night, I listened to the original song. And then I wake up this morning, and lo and behold, I get a notification about this cover. Strange synchronicities. Or coincidence perhaps? It matters not! All I know is that it was beautiful! Bravo and encore! _Hits replay button._

I failed to find the information on this track exactly, but we should remember about NieR co-composer Hoashi Keigo. Taking into account that he specializes in piano/batle/intense tracks, it might be as well the case that he is the one who composed Grandma. I think you should credit him as well. It's not like Keiichi Okabe takes the frontman position out of mean intent, but it makes other MONACA composers forgotten. On the other hand Grandma Destruction (from Automata) is credited as "Composed & Arranged by Kuniyuki Takahashi and Keiichi Okabe" so maybe it is a case, that in fact Keiichi Obake is responsible for the original Grandma. Generally, all of the original NieR's tracks are usually credited as composed jointly by Keiichi Obake, Keigo Hoashi and Kakeru Ishihama one the MONACA side, with addition of Takafumi Nishimura from cavia (developer) side.
For real, Keigo gets way less recognition for his work on the Soundtrack than Okabe, what I can't understand. The music he composed for Nier, but also for Nier: Auromata is at least as great as the songs Okabe did.

Keiichi Okabe is in fact responsible for the original Grandma, it's on his Spotify/iTunes playlist (but there are no separate composition/arrangement credits and any of the others could've been involved, though the Piano collections includes Grandma and the composers are listed as just the Monaca team - Keiichi Okabe, Kakeru Ishihama and Keigo Hoashi). Generally speaking, I got the impression that Kakeru Ishihama was also more significantly involved in the original NieR's soundtrack than in the later games (composing Kaine, Emil and maybe a few other themes), and might have composed more tracks than Keigo Hoashi in the first game looking at the order of the credits.

The language is called "Chaos Language" and was made specifically for NieR and NieR: Automata (I'm not sure about Drakengard but from the sounds of the songs I don't think it's the same language, I might be wrong). They wanted to use voice as more of an "instrument" rather than a medium for lyrics, most likely because of the ability of voice to effectively convey emotion purely by tone even if the words are intangible/there are no words at all The song's most likely telling the story of Kaine and her grandma Kali, which if that is the case is pretty fitting considering their pretty wholesome but sad history. I'm not gonna spoil just incase some people haven't played through that part yet, it's a real emotional heckhole :(

But then, a buildup and introducing more minor vibes to show the dark twisted fate that she takes in order to impress her crush who does not realize her crush on him. Then the lonely woman ends with a solo as she meets her dark twisted lonely fate. Ah so beautiful. This rendition is nice. I personally would recommend you have included even more of a loud dark climax as "Grandma" met a hugely twisted fate in which she had to be killed. Perhaps a brass instrument....hmmm a bass. I dunno. Anyways thank you for this piece of beautiful art.
