Just stumbled upon your page. In 2012 at the age of 25 I lost my colon from ulcerative colitis. I’m 36 now. Pregnant with my first baby through IVF. I was on baby aspirin the first 10 weeks of pregnancy plus a month prior to getting pregnant. Since it is an IVF baby the precautions taken are worth it to prevent any blood clots that can end up in the baby’s blood system and we all know how bad a blood clot can be. I understand the hesitation but it’s not gonna harm the baby

Congratulations! As a diabetic, I have a huge tip for you, if you have to do all those finger tricks. Prick the finger right next to the side of the nail, not on the finger pad. Much less painful that way!
