Round Table: German Studies (in Israel) after October 7

Prof. Gisela Dachs, Prof. Stefan Ihrig, Prof. Gideon Reuveni, and Dr. Kim Wünschmann discuss the questions arising after October 7 and the current situation toward their field of research. Though many of the consequences are not foreseeable yet, the round table asks how the current situation influences scholars, especially young scholars and students. It also tries to answer for what are the consequences of the current situation for collaborations, and how will all this affect the research landscape and the major topics of German studies. The four speakers each bring their own individual perspective based on experience, views, and place of origin.
