I just found your channel and it is great! I am just learning to fly my anafi and with your help I've ( so far) been able to keep it in one piece. I look forward to all of your videos.
Well welcome! Glad you found me. I don't hear of folks still flying the Anafi but it's a really great bird. I must've done about 15 videos on it so nice to know they're still providing value. Have you seen my video with the Anafi and the remote ID module?
Very informative. I really like the way you presented information. Going through items in UAV Forecast app was worthwhile for drone pilots. Important things to consider when weather can be a factor. Thank you.
It's very nice to Fly in the snow I do it all the time. Just got to be smart about it but very cool
I'll be getting out there this weekend myself. I think the rough stuff is behind us.
Just had to say thanks for all of your excellent videos. I'm a newbie to drones and just bought a Potensic Atom. Your videos have been so helpful! 👍
So glad to hear that. I was mainly thinking about the person new to drones so mission accomplished!
Thanks GI. This is very informative, especially for the new drone enthusiasts out there! Weather is a HUGE factor when flying drones and should not be taken lightly.
The sun finally came out here and the snow has let up so I may be able to get out there this weekend.
Amazing just how fast that weather drains batteries. . . .
Yep, and the little battery in my iphone drains fast as well. Another thing to think about.
Great video. I have always had a paid version of UAV Forcast just to support the developer of the application. Great app for information. Just wish it would snow in GA. It hasn't snowed since I got my 1st good drone back in 2018..LOL.
I'll send you some of our snow anytime! We have plenty of it to spare. 🤣
Great video! I just got done flying in the snow with my Phantom 4 pro, dont recomend it, better stick to my rc truck, keep up the great work been a subsciber since the beggining, Thanks Rich
Yessir Rich. You've been with me for a long time! I appreciate you man. Back when we were flying quads with no GPS, no special this or that. Just straight up stick control and lettin it rip! Glad to hear you're still flying the P4Pro. It's still a great drone.
All great information here. Winter flying changes a lot with these li-on batteries. Video well done and needed for the new guy.
P.S. I noticed that change in gear color. Smooth move! 😊👍🏾
Lol, bad losses for both teams 🤦🏾♂️ but I still gotta support home squad.
Actually, they’re lithium polymer batteries. And testing by several other YT pilots demonstrates that the temperature of the battery pack prior to flying is just as important as the outside temperature.
I use wintertime for my simulators. I freeze up outside long before the drone does. I would think a wintertime recovery is brutal. I am also trying to use Google Earth to discover and preplan for Spring.
Yes! Longjohns are a must and a good pair of gloves with removable tips.
I don't mind flying in the cold weather as long as it is not snowing or raining. I am concerned about the electronics of the quad. Good info though GI.
And as long as I have my gloves on and some longjohns, I'm good to go!
Air 2s in the rain is no issue at all. I just take the battery out & pat dry the drone after I'm done.
@@GadgetInspectorhey how are you I've just brought a tello and wondering what controller to use cheaply can you use any as long as it's Bluetooth or not any suggestions please
I enjoy flying in the snow ❄️❄️. It was so very beautiful and amazing 💯. I had to keep my drone dried off each flight and the batteries warm.
But I sure was freezing lol.😂.
Thank you so very much for sharing this wonderful video and God bless you. Have a great week and have fun
Braver man than I. I get super paranoid even with sprinkles lol.
