    Wow, I'm amazed by the sheer amount of work you put into all of this. You basically do what the police/law enforcement agencies should be doing but probably can't because they lack the necessary resources. Thank you for your service to the public!

    • @puszkapotato
      @puszkapotato 7 років тому +72

      Thiesi Don't tell me that you believe they don't have enough resources. . .

    • @Thiesi
      @Thiesi 7 років тому +46

      I actually do. I assume that regular cops would have a hard time understanding the crime that is committed here, let alone uncovering the connections between the various people, as they are almost certainly not even aware of tools like whois and the Wayback Machine.
      Even if you manage to get the attention of a specialized cybercrime unit where knowledge about what the Internet has to offer to uncover the tracks of such criminals can be assumed I see at least three other problems:
      #1: The criminals themselves operate from a location which is outside the jurisdiction of said cybercrime unit - by thousands of kilometers.
      #2: The victims of this crime could be difficult to identify as they themselves are not even aware they are a victim.
      #3: Even in case you are successful and manage to get hold of the criminals, public recognition of that success would almost certainly be negligible compared to the attention successful raids against child pornographers create among the general public, voters, and politicians.
      I certainly believe law enforcement agencies/police should take action in such cases, however, I can see why they might choose to prosecute other crimes instead which are much more promising (i. e. the culprit is assumed to be in the same country or at least in the EU) while at the same time being much more rewarding (lots of positive press coverage => positive image of police work).

    • @puszkapotato
      @puszkapotato 7 років тому +15

      Thiesi They don't need some specialized cybercrime dudes. I myself don't know how they operate or how many technicians they have but I can't imagine that they are not able to track down people like the ones Jim is trying to bring to justice. They have far more resources and connections than Jim has so I can say that they can easily deal with it a lot faster from Jim. I think that this kind of crime needs more attention from public to make them do something more about it. If it takes just one person like Jim to come this far imagine how faster it could be for a team or just maybe one person in police or other agencies.
      (I understand that it's hard to read it and I'm sorry about that but it's pain in ass to write on phone for me)

    • @Thiesi
      @Thiesi 7 років тому +40

      "They don't need some specialized cybercrime dudes."
      "It takes just one person like Jim"
      You see the contradiction here?

    • @puszkapotato
      @puszkapotato 7 років тому +6

      Thiesi I think Jim is not as good as specialized units against cybercrime. But I may be wrong because the only thing I know about Jim is that he loves to to bring down scammers.

In my city, recently a large scammer network was discovered and was shut down by police. But again, Efficiency of such vigilance is really low. If you’re against scammers, why not support people quitting? Persecution either way doesn’t make them want to quit and live an honest life...

    I guess the local authorities have no interest in shutting down a "business" that brings money to the city. The people running the operation probably have enough money to bribe the police even if someone tried to sue them. Someone should just march in there with professional bodyguards and force them to transfer back any money they still have left, and then confiscate all their computers.
    I also have some suggestions what to do after that, but I'll leave it at that :)

    This video is running up two years old now, so I don't know if you'll see this comment at all. But, in the hopes you do, has there been any update in regards to this investigation? Basing on your previous two videos regarding this matter, it seems to me that the Indian Police Authority over this matter is falling on deaf ears. I'm also suspecting that it may fall on deaf ears in the UK side of things too.
    As prevalent as these scams are, it appears to me that India has little interest in shutting these tech scammers down and I've only heard of one or two centers that were actually shut down in the news and some were charged. However, to even get to that point takes an excruciatingly long time to do so. In the meantime, people like yourself, ScammerRevolts, and many others on UA-cam, it is nice and refreshing to see the amount of work put into wasting their time for our enjoyment, and the amount of digging involved to expose for the frauds they are.

      So, from what I can gather, from the comment section etc. Is Jim has not received any word back from Amab and has continued doing what he does best with these scammers in the mean time. If you want a part 4 I highly suggest checking out his recently uploaded 4 part series where he got access to scammer CTV footage and even got a documentary crew to help out and actually go to Kolkata or, was it Mumbai... or Delhi I can't remember at the moment. (I probably none of those names right.) Anyways, sorry this update for you is 10 months late :( but, I only just found this video so, I couldn't have updated you any time sooner :').
      Hopefully this message I've been posting in the comment section helps bring closure.

    For those of you who are just as upset as I am that there is no part 4, I've gone ahead and done my own research on some things discussed in this series, however ill keep things simple:
    1. The "Ariba Call Center" is still up and running, they still run scams, they have never run anything else other than scams, and "Ms Ariba Ghaus" still works there, without 'Mr Aslaan Ghaus"
    2. Mr Arslaan Ghaus had left the Ariba Call Center (and his wife?) to work on a scam for another company called "Gifttones", although the company has changed to dropshipping cheap junk from China, as the name implies the company used to be (and could possibly still be) a mobile phone ringtone scam (charging you large amounts of money monthly because you bought 1 ringtone), he then went back to tech support scamming for a company called "IT CHASE LLC", which also dropships cheap junk alongside selling their fake "securities" and other scam software. He currently works for an "Organic Food' company called "Siha & Afia International" apparently located in Dubai, which seem somewhat legit but further research into this company might prove valuable.
    3. I have not researched the other 2 listed members of the Ariba Call Center.
    4. India's police, even with the somewhat new widespread access of internet across the country (tseries etc.), are still related to, and paid off by tech support (and other) scammers, its no surprise that you never had a response from them, and I'd estimate that it will be another 20+ years before they aren't corrupt enough to actually do something about it.
    5. Arnab Sen is a liar, he STILL operates Fair Merchants LLC, this companies ONLY job is to accept and send money back to india (im 100% that the money is from tech support scams only) and Jim didn't do ANY research into his other company "IMMIGRATION LAWYERS LTD", which helps to grant citizenship and passports to Indians that are convicted criminals, scammers and other people that the UK would consider "not acceptable for citizenship"

    • @omikronweapon
      @omikronweapon 5 років тому +1

      www.solacexis.com/arnab-sen/
      If we read between the lines, he's still into helping dodgey people get a foothold in the UK.
      it even says "illustrious career" XD Although, I'm assuming that was written sarcastically.
      Almost a shame I'm not a lawyer, they seem to be hiring. Imagine getting someone inside to root around in his files XD

      Jim Browning we used to get a few of these scam calls in switzerland a while back. The scenario was the same, only with one small caveat - they still tried to do the scam in english. And this is probably why they don't do it anymore as the success rate must have been pretty low, as their target audience likely didn't speak english well enough. It is at least two or three years since I spoke on a phone with a scammer. I miss them, I always enjoyed our conversations.

    Jim, a lot of hard work mate. No scam of this size could exist without the sanction and kickbacks of whatever law enforcement agency is responsible to hunt, prosecute and close them down. They have the greater guilt burden, and they don't like honest people like you exposing their tolerance of crime. Especially in India where crime is a way of life. So many can't exist without it.
