I have a similar unit from Lenovo. It is almost identical to this one. These are good for reading manga. Important point is the screen. Mine has OLED, so it is perfect for reading manga, those true blacks are amazing. I moved to that from color eink (boox nova color). Not sure about this ones screen.

did you try to connect it on your bluetooth earbuds? please try to connect your earbuds to that tablet and try to record yourself if your voice pick up by the tablet or earbuds...
