❤I can’t thank you enough given knowledge is power as you say you have to know how the air conditioning works first then you can put it together and you told us both how to do everything I can’t thank you enough knowledge is power. Thank you.😊
I have been doing HVAC/R for 27 years so far, and that was the best explanation of electrical component and how they work to get the job done. great video!
This is such an amazing video, as a gasfitter with limited knowledge of havoc I was able to completely re-wire a OLD 1984 York Ac. I tip my hat to you good sir
Thank you for simplifying the basic electrical components and the general process for residential units. I went to a technical college for HVACR. Every student would do well if they go over this video and committed it to memory. Watch this video over and over again until you grasp these basics. This is your foundation, this video committed to memory!
Thanks for taking the time to help everyone (DYI & Pros) by offering simple and effective explanations about HVAC wiring to all the components. IMO, I think this is one of the very best HVAC instructional videos and every student going to HVAC school should watch this video. Thank you very much, I liked and subscribed. God Bless!
I had to watch this video two or three times to ignore the shakeness, but once I got past it, I got so much out of it! I want to encourage you to make more educational videos! You're a great teacher!
I am an electrician and I found this to invaluable information. Thank you very much I didnt realize the camera was moving until I read the comments, I was too busy learning about controls that I have been trying to figure out for a while. Also I am a gamer and am used to fast motion and screens swinging around quickly
You did a great job explaining the electrical connections for air conditioning systems. All of the students of my HVAC class agree. Thanks for sharing.
Ignore all the stupid shaky camera comments this video is very helpful. Not too complicated for beginners and in depth enough to understand the entire concept
I particularly liked how you emphasized the sequence of operation in the heating mode. Also, I liked how you simplified the the routing of the control wires and load power conductors for the indoor and outdoor portions of the AC unit. Well done, thanks again.
Thank you very much for explaining the way you did with the diagram and the wiring. I'm currently taking an HVAC electricity course but still trying to comprehend the diagrams to the actual wiring and you did a good job of helping me to understand it much more better. Just hope you kept the camera more still. Thanks again.
Thanks very much!!! I have an old York furnace and I couldn't get it to run after blowing a transformer. I started from ground zero and this video helped me get it going. THANKS AGAIN!
Very good explanation. I have degree in electrical engineering but hardly have done any wiring myself. Your white board wiring diagram and explanation is worth day long course. Can easily cost couple of hundred bucks to get this traning. This helped me to trace down my external fan problem. With the help of mutlimeter I found the switch not closing correctly. Replacing the relay switch fixed the problem. Thank you. Shaking video is a thing you need to work on. That aside, great video and thank you for sharing.
Thanks Vegas . I understand that thermostat act as a master controller to distribute jobs of Ac unit parts as required to have proper air conditioning .Helpful % 100
I have to say thats an awesome basic understanding of the control wiring and what they are controling... Bravo!!! I like to be able to run through wiring in my head but it takes alot of practice. Thanks for giving your time to better others....
This was awesome. I'm a new tech. Really new. No formal schooling so the basics is what I needed. Shaky video yes but i didn't pay to watch a video. I'm trying to learn and you provided that wonderfully. Keep it up sir and thanks.
Thanks a lot for your time, teaching how to do the wiring, I'm starting the HVAC classes and this will be very helpful understanding how parts work! I really appreciate!!
This is exactly the video I’ve been looking for! Everything else assumes You know what each component is and does and so it’s difficult to understand. Thank you!
Im a Bazilian HVAC...from Manaus but working in Fortaleza...I really like to share and translate your videos for my coworkers here.CONGRATULATIONS...AND AND GREATINGS FROM BRAZIL.
This is perfect lesson for me as I spent my career in electronics, and a pretty good technician if I do say so myself(maybe not the smartest but the most persistent and stubborn). I learned how thermostats work after installing a few (it's basically a simple switching device without getting too techy- sounding--in fact there's a small relay inside each and you can hear the relay click when it comes on). I started looking at my own AC unit and started at the fan circuit cuz that's what I could access. I'm working on replacing the fan relay with a SPDT SSR which I wired up meself. I still have to test it. Anyway, this is great as it gives me the rest of the picture quick and dirty. Thanks. (I'd like to fix an AC unit one day.)
Very informative for basic operation of the electrical but I wish you would have moved over the the outdoor unit after the furnace at the end. Or maybe taken your wiring diagram you drew, and applied that idea to the actual outdoor unit to give an example
pretty good demo. I wish my teacher would've explained it like this when I started. pretty easy to understand with the parts and diagram. You should do a heat pump video like this please. only thing is maybe get a tripod or stand holder for the camera
Awesome video 7 years later still helping ac techs
❤I can’t thank you enough given knowledge is power as you say you have to know how the air conditioning works first then you can put it together and you told us both how to do everything I can’t thank you enough knowledge is power. Thank you.😊
This information should not be free. Thank you so much for this. This makes the industry better not only for the techs but also for the customers.
finally ....... a normal dude, doing the only video i seen so far, where you can see the sequence . thank you sir you are the real dude

That's great Greg I'm glad we could help
+Las Vegas Air Conditioning, Inc. The thermostat was actually just under 2 years old and still under warranty. Nest is overnighting me a new one.
