How to Make a Controllable/Moving Car in Algodoo!

- Algodoo is a program where you can create objects such as cars, and even use thrusters to make planes or boats! It is 2d, but it is very fun and realistic with the physics. Also, it is a very simple and fun interface to use, while still keeping its realisticness. In this video, I will be showing how to make a car in Algodoo.

The Axles made the wheels stay still and not move, they do rotate and the car body gets launched in the air, any solution?
Try deleting the wheels and axles, and creating them again with your car body already there.
how do i make my screen follow the car as it moves?

Hi, I have a School assignment to create a car and find velocity and Acceleration. How do I do that?
I know it's a year late, but I think I can help you now. First, create the car as I did in the video. Make a rectangle on the ground that is about three times the length of your car. The height does not matter. (For example, if the car is 3 meters long, make the rectangle 1 by 9 meters) Then, duplicate that rectangle about five times, and place them right next to one another. Place the car at one end, and track the amount of time it takes to complete each rectangle. Distance/Time=Velocity, and Velocity/Time=Acceleration. Hope you can warp back in time and get a better grade!
i did what you said but the car part will fall off and the wheels will float in the air for some reason
Did you attach the wheel to a spot on the car? Make sure you're not attaching them to midair.

I don't really think there is a specific way... Just eyeball it.

that beast There is a very complicated way to do it where you break the car up into hundreds of pieces and bond them all back together, but it is very hard.

What do you mean? Are you sure you are using the right type of axle?
Axle need be glued whith 2 things, if axle has only one object 2nd object will be background

Make sure your axle is actually touching the car body. If you are trying to place it near the edge, it may not actually be attaching to the body.

Are you sure there is material behind the wheel you are applying the axle to? If not, it'll mount the axle to the sky.

Right, you'll need there to be material behind the wheel so it can attach to it.
This game is so crap. I was able to control vehicles like a game but then I took a screenshot and now suddenly I cannot control anything. Uninstalling.
Well, that’s most likely not the game’s fault. Did you accidentally pause physics with the spacebar? Maybe somehow broke the link between the key and it’s function? All you need to do is check that it’s not paused, make sure your axles work properly and that the key you designated still drives the motor as it should, and if all that doesn’t work, just try a new world and make another car.
